Warnings
Before working with the device, please read this instruction manual thoroughly and keep it for future reference.
Placement
•Do not place the device on an unstable substrates, stands, tables and shelves.
•Do not expose to direct sunlight or other heat sources.
•Do not place the device near appliances generating a magnetic field.
•Do not place liquids near or on the device.
•Never spill liquid of any kind on the device.
•Do not place heavy objects on the device.
Power Supply
•Verify that the operating voltage of the device is compatible with the power source.
•Please disconnect the power supply if there is a possibility of wather storms.
•Please disconnect the power supply if no one will stay in the room, or if the device is not used for a long
time.
•Please protect the power cord from physical or mechanical damage.
•Please use the AC adapter that came with your set, do not modify or extend it.
•Make sure that the AC power source is grounded.
Temperature
•The optimum temperature for operation of the device is 0 - 40 ° C.
Humidity
•Do not expose the device to rain, drizzle or place it near water.
•Use in dry and cool place. The optimum humidity for the device's operation is 10 - 90%.
Ventilation
•Do not block ventilation openings.
Headphones
•Using headphones for a long time, in high-volume, may damage your hearing.
•Before using headphones, please lower the volume.
Notes on cleaning
•Air vents are located on the rear panel. Please do not expose them to water.
Power signs
•Highlighted power switch means that device is working.
Notes on maintenance
•The device can be maintained only by certified technicians.

Connecting the Avtek ZERO.
Mounting on VESA bracket.
VESA bracket is included with Avtek ZERO package. The bracket allow to mount device on the back of monitor or
ceiling/wall bracket. To mount the bracket use included screws. The bracket is compatible with VESA 75mm x 75mm
and 100mm x 100mm standards.

Connecting Avtek ZERO
Avtek ZERO has built-in ports thats allow to connect required peripherials needed to basic work with device. Connect
the device according to the instructions below:
1 –USB ports for keyboard and mouse,
2 –LAN Network RJ45 connector,
3 –VGA port for connecting LCD screen,
4 –HDMI port for connecting LCD screen (alternative for VGA port),
5 –Power supply connector,
6 –Power On switch,
7 –LED indicating the operation of the device,
8 –Speakers out, mini jack 3,5mm,
9 –Mic in, mini jack 3,5mm,
10 –Two additional USB ports (for example for connecting USB flash drive).

For basic work with Avtek ZERO device it is required to connect at least:
1. Dedicated do Avtek ZERO power supply (connector no. 5),
2. LAN network with working DHCP server (connector no. 2),
3. LCD screen or other display device (connector no. 3 or 4),
4. Input peripherials such as keyboard and mouse (USB connectors no. 1 or 10).
The Avtek ZERO terminal use built-in DHCP client to discover IP address from DHCP server working in LAN network.
The Avtek ZERO automatically discover native resolution of LCD screen or other display device connected to the
client and set up connection to the server using this resolution.

Server configuration
Minimum server specifications
It is recommended that terminal services server meets minimal hardware requirements depending on user quantity.
It is suggested to provide at least a half of CPU thread and 1GB RAM per user. It i salso suggested to configure server
storage using RAID matrix and dual port network card.
To get sample server configuration please visit www.vidis.pl website.
Installation of the Microsoft Server 2016 operating system
To install Microsoft Server 2016 it is necessary to prepare CD/DVD disc or USB flash drive containing installation files.
Next, using prepared disc run installer choosing disc from server boot menu.
To run installation process press any key.

After booting please select language, time and currency preferences and keyboard layout. Than press „Next”.
To start installation press „Install now”.

Please select Windows Server Standard with Desktop Experience.
Next, please accept license terms.

Next please select installation type. In most cases please choose „Custom: Install Windows only (advanced)” option.
Next step is to create partitions according to your requirements. Pressing the „Next” buton will start installation
process.

After file copying and installing process, the server will reboot.
After reboot please set up Administrator password.

Creating NIC Teaming.
In cases that server has multiple network interface cards, you can create NIC Team, what increase network
connections performance and stability. If server has only one network interface card please go to next step.
To create NIC Teaming please run „Server Manager”, then choose „Local server” page and „NIC Teaming: Disabled”
option.

After opening the NIC Teaming window select „Tasks” button in „Teams” window part and next choose „New Team”
option.
It is needed to set up team name and choose interfaces that will be included in team. The additional team
configuration in most cases will be simillar as on the image below. In case of advanced configuration please refer

After creating the team please check that interfaces works properly. It is recommended to set up static IP address to
NIC Team interface.

MultiPoint Services installation on Windows Server 2016.
Log in on Administrator account using set up password.
Run „Server Manager” and then select „Manage”/”Add roles and features”

After checkicng the recommendations go to the next page of installer clicking „Next”.
Next select „Remote Desktop Services Installation” option.

Next please select „MultiPoint Services” option and click „Next”.
Next please select server where you want to deploy MultiPoint service.

To end deployment check the „Restart the destination server autoamtically if required” option and confirm clicking
„Deplyoy” button.
After installation process, the server will reboot automatically.
