Indications
Lock state LED Comment
Electrically unlocked, REN/REX signal active steady Green
Electrically unlocked, door open, Flashing Green Indicates that the unlock-signal is not
REN/REX signal not active active while the door has not been closed.
Locked with door closed steady Red
Locked with door open Flashing Red Indicates that the lock has lost the door
closed position.
Manually unlocked (Key) steady Yellow
Manually unlocked, door open Flashing Yellow *
Manually indeterminate position (steady Yellow) Indicates that lock is neither in locked nor
unlocked position.
Electric lock failure Flashing Red / steady Red Indicates failure to lock or unlock
(3 sec intervals) electrically.
Terminology
REX Request to exit (input)
REN Request to enter (input)
Latched The electrical latch is latched (the mechanical lock can still be unlocked).
Unlatched The electrical latch is unlatched (lock is unlocked)
Locked The lock is mechanically and electrically locked/latched.
Unlocked The lock is mechanically unlocked or electrically unlatched.
Active A voltage is present on the input or output.
Inactive No voltage is present on the input or output.
• UNLOCKING. When voltage is applied to REN/REX input, the lock will unlatch electrically. The LED will indicate
unlocked state with a steady green light. The lock will remain in unlatched state until REN/REX input voltage is
removed. If the door is not closed when the REN/REX input is released, the lock will remain unlatched until the door is
closed (indicated by a flashing red light).
The lock can also be mechanically unlocked using a key or by using the rear green escape knob.
NOTE! When unlocking mechanically, the LED will indicate steady yellow. By this operation the
electronically function is deactivated, until one manually lock by the key, or reset by the knob.
Plastic caps are available as spare part by art. no. B00-064.
It’s recommended that the master key, is handled by the responsible person for the lock system,
solely.
• LOCK STATUS LOCKED. The LSL output is active when the lock is completely locked, both mechanically and
electrically. This output is independent of the door position.
• LOCK STATUS UNLOCKED. The LSU output is active when the lock is mechanically unlocked or electrically unlatched.
This output is independent of the door position.
• DOOR STATUS. The DS output is active when the door is closed.
