Yourcamerausesvisiblelighttodelivercolorimagesduringtheda.Astheavailablelightdiminishes,oucansetthecamerato
automaticallshifttonightmode,inwhichthecamerausesbothvisiblelightandnear-infraredlighttodeliverblack-and-white
images.Sincethecamerausesmoreoftheavailablelight,itcandeliverbrighter,moredetailedimages.
1.GotoVideo>Image>Day-nightmode,andmakesurethattheIR-cutlterissettoAuto.
2.Tosetthelightlevelatwhichthecamerawillshifttonightmode,movetheThresholdslidertowardBrightorDark.
3.Tousethecamera’sIRlightwhennightmodeisactivated,turnonAllowIRilluminationandynchronizeIRillumination.

providethebestvideoqualitbasedonouravailablestorage.Bitrateishigherinsceneswithalotofactivit,comparedtostatic
scenes.Youaremorelikeltogetbetterimagequalitwhenneededwhenusingtheaveragebitrateoption.Youcandenethetotal
storagerequiredtostorethevideostreamforaspeciedamountoftime(retentiontime)whenimagequalitisadjustedtomeetthe

videotheratemustbeatleast16imageframespersecond.Fullmotionvideoisperceivedat30(NTSC)or25(PAL)framespersecond.
TheMotionJPEGstreamusesconsiderableamountsofbandwidth,butprovidesexcellentimagequalitandaccesstoeverimage

H.264isalicensedtechnolog.TheAxisproductincludesoneH.264viewingclientlicense.Toinstalladditionalunlicensed

H.264can,withoutcompromisingimagequalit,reducethesizeofadigitalvideolebmorethan80%comparedtotheMotion
JPEGformatandbasmuchas50%comparedtoolderMPEGformats.Thismeansthatlessnetworkbandwidthandstoragespace

Usingrmwarefromtheactivetrackisrecommendedifouwanttoaccessthenewestfeatures,orifouuseAxisend-to-endsstem
