Tosavethefocussettingsataspecicpan/tiltrange,addafocusrecallarea.Eachtimethecameramovesintothatareaitrecallsthe
previouslysavedfocus.It’senoughtocoverhalfofthefocusrecallareaintheliveview.
Werecommendthefocusrecallfeatureinthefollowingscenarios:
•Whenthereisalotofmanualoperationinliveview,forexamplewithajoystick.
•WherePTZpresetpositionswithmanualfocusarenotefcient,forexamplemovementswherethefocussettingchanges
continuously.
•Inlow-lightscenarios,wheretheautofocusischallengedbythelightingconditions.

images.Sincethecamerausesmoreoftheavailablelightitcandeliverbrighter,moredetailed,images.

Bitrateontrol
Bysettingthebitratecontrolyoucanmanagethebandwidthconsumptionforyourvideostream.
Variablebitrate(VBR)
Withvariablebitratethebandwidthvariesbasedonthelevelofactivityinthescene.Themoreactivityinthescene,themore
bandwidthisrequired.Thisoptionguaranteesthatimagequalityisconstantbutrequiresstoragemargins.
Maximumbitrate(MBR)
Themaximumbitrateoptionallowsyoutosetatargetbitratevaluetobeabletohandlesystembitratelimitations.Tokeepthe
instantaneousbitratebelowthespeciedtargetbitrate,theremaybeadecreaseinimagequalityortheframeratemaydecrease.
Youhavetheoptiontoprioritizeeitherimagequalityorframerate.Itisrecommendedtocongurethetargetbitratehigherthanthe
expectedbitratetohavemarginsforadditionalcomplexitythatneedstobecaptured.
veragebitrate(BR)
Withaveragebitrate,thebitrateisautomaticallyadjustedoveralongertimescaletomeetthespeciedtargetandprovidethe
bestqualityonthevideostreambasedonavailablestorage.Imagequalityisdecreaseduniformly.Youcanstillgetgoodimage
qualitywhenthereisactivityinthescene.Theaveragebitrateoptionallowsyoutodenethetotalstoragerequiredtostorethe
videostreamforaspeciedamountoftime(retentiontimewhenimagequalityisadjustedtomeetthespeciedtargetbitrate.
Specifytheaveragebitratesettingsinoneofthefollowingways:
•Setthetargetbitrateandtheretentiontimetocalculatetheestimatedstorageneed.
•Usethetargetbitratecalculatortocalculatetheaveragebitrate,basedonavailablestorageanddesiredretentiontime.

Autotraking
Autotrackingdetectsmovementinthecamera'seldofview,forexampleamovingvehicleorperson,andfollowsthemovingobject
untilitstopsordisappearsfromthemonitoredarea.Incasethereismuchsimultaneousmovement,thecameraselectstheareawith
themostamountofmotion.Whentherearenomovingobjectsintheeldofview,thecamerareturnstothehomeposition.

•Theautotrackingfeatureisdesignedforareaswherethereisalimitedamountofmovement.
•Ifbothautotrackingandguardtourareenabled,werecommendyoutousethePTZcontrolqueue.Inthecontrolqueue,

itwilltakeeffectwhenyoustartanewstream.
TheStreamprolessettingsoverridethesettingsfromtheStreamtab.Ifyourequestastreamwithaspecicstreamprole,the
streamcontainsthesettingsofthatprole.Ifyourequestastreamwithoutspecifyingastreamprole,orrequestastreamprole
