oThe edges of t he cooker hood are sharp – be m indful of this as
you handle your appliance, especially during installat ion and
cleaning. D O N OT CLEAN I N BEH I N D THE GREASE FI LTERS!
oI f t he room where the cooker hood is to be used cont ains a fuel
burning appliance such as a cent ral heat ing boiler t hen it s flue
m ust be of the sealed or balanced flue type.
oI f ot her t ypes of flue or appliances are fitted, ensure that t here is
an adequat e supply of air in t he room .
oWhen t he hood is being used in its ext ract or funct ion, ensure
that t he duct ing is fire ret ardant and t hat t here are no bends
sharper t han 90 degrees as t his will reduce t he efficiency of t he
hood.
oEnsure t he duct ing for t he extract or funct ion has t he sam e
diam et er as t he out let hole all t he way through.
oKeep young children from using, playing wit h
or t am pering wit h the cooker hood. Older
children and infirm persons should be
supervised if they are using the cooker hood.
oYour cooker hood is for dom est ic use only.
oPlease dispose of the packing m at erial carefully – children are
especially vulnerable to it.
oDirty oil is an even great er fire risk.
oAlways put lids on pots and pans when cooking
on a gas cooker.
oThe m anufact urer refuses t o accept any responsibility for
dam ages arising to t he hood or it catching on fire, from a failure
to observe t he fire safet y advice contained in this inst ruct ion
booklet .

m easures are being observed.

oThe light s on t his appliance should only be used during operation
of t he cooker hood. They should not be left on perm anent ly and
used as a lighting source.
oThe cooker hood should not be exposed t o a direct heat source
from the cooking device underneat h it , i.e. a naked flam e from a
gas burner or heat from elect ric hob zones wit hout a pan on
them .
oDo not at t em pt to use t he cooker hood if it is dam aged in any
way. Never att em pt t o use it wit hout t he grease filters fit ted or
if t he filters are excessively greasy!
oNever flam bé cook under t his cooker hood.

oMake sure that it has been installed by a suit ably qualified
person, as per t he inform at ion cont ained in Baum at ic’s
inst allat ion inst ruct ions.
oFind the cont rol panel, which is locat ed at t he front right hand
side of the canopy.
oThere are several but tons on t he cont rol panel, which perform
separat e funct ions.

I M PORTAN T: Aft er t he cooker hood is connected to t he power
supply, t he t im e of day should be set. However it is only possible to
set t he t im e if t he light is not swit ched on and t he cooker hood fan
is not running.
oPress and hold the t im er but t on unt il t he hour digit s of t he LED
display flash.
oUse t he speed selection butt on to increase the hour num ber
shown on the LED display and the light ON/ OFF but ton t o
decrease the hour num ber shown on the LED display.
oI f “ 23” appears on t he LED display, t he speed selection but t on
will no longer operat e and if “ 00” appears on t he LED display,
the light ON/ OFF but t on will no longer operat e.
oWhen the correct hour digit s appear on the LED display, press
and hold the tim er but ton unt il the m inut e digits of the LED
display flash.
oUse t he speed select ion button to increase the m inut e num ber
shown on t he LED display or t he light ON/ OFF but t on t o decrease
the m inut e num ber shown on the LED display.
oI f “ 59” appears on t he LED display, t he speed selection but t on
will no longer operat e and if “ 00” appears on t he LED display,
the light ON/ OFF but t on will no longer operat e.
oWhen the correct m inut e digits appear on the LED display, press
the tim er but ton for a third tim e to confirm the tim e of day.
