1 Important safety and
environmental instructions
This section contains safety instructions that will
help protect from risk of personal injury or property
damage.
Failure to follow these instructions will void all types
of warranty.
1.1 General safety
• This appliance complies with the international safety
standards.
• Do not use the appliance outdoors and in the
bathroom.
• No responsibility or warranty claim shall be assumed
for damages arising from misuse or improper handling
of the appliance.
• Never attempt to dismantle or separate the mounted
parts of the appliance.
• Only use the original parts or parts recommended by
the manufacturer.
• Always use the appliance on a stable, flat, clean, dry
and non-slip surface.
• Ensure that the product is turned off before moving it.

• Do not put any substances apart from coffee and
sugar into the cooking reservoir. The water fills the
cooking reservoirs automatically.
• After use, press the on/off button to switch off the
machine. Be careful not to leave it on.
• Turkish Coffee Machine is designed to operate at
4-37°C at 80% relative humidity.
• At temperatures below 4°C, your product will not
operate since the water in the water reservoir will
freeze.
• Do not drink the Turkish coffee using the cooking
reservoir.
• Do not put any other substances (milk etc.) into the
water tank other than water.
• Due to the manufacturing technology, steam and
odour may arise at the heating element of your
product during initial use. This is normal for your
machine. It will return to normal after being used for
a few times.

• When re-locating your product, make sure that there
is no water left in it. Take out the water reservoir. Hold
the product on its left-hand side and lift nearly 10 cm.
After the remaining water is emptied, put down the
machine and re-insert the empty water container.
• Do not move the appliance when it is still hot or when
there is liquid inside the cooking reservoirs.
• Avoid contacting hot surfaces. Hold the cooking
reservoirs only by their handle; otherwise there is
the risk of burning. Cooking reservoirs will get heated
during use.
• The base (heating surface) on which the cooking
reservoirs are placed gets hot during operation.
Therefore, do not touch those areas while using and
until the appliance gets cold.
• Arçelik Household Appliances comply with the
applicable safety standards; therefore, in case of any
damage on the appliance or power cable, it should
be repaired or replaced by the authorised service
provider to avoid any danger. Faulty or unqualified
repair work may be dangerous and cause risk to the
user.

• For additional protection, this appliance should be
connected to a household residual current circuit
breaker of maximum 30 mA. For advice, refer to an
electric technician.
• Connect the appliance to a grounded outlet protected
by a 16 ampere fuse.
• Never use the appliance if the power cable or the
appliance itself is damaged.
• Do not use this appliance with an extension cord.
• Dry the seats of cooking reservoirs before plugging in
the appliance and seating the parts.
• Do not immerse the appliance, power cord, or power
plug in water or any other liquids.
• Never touch the appliance or its plug with damp or
wet hands.
• Position the appliance in such a way that the plug is
always accessible.
• Prevent damage to the power cable by not squeezing,
bending,orrubbingitonsharpedges.Keep thepower
cable away from hot surfaces and naked flame.

• Make sure that there is no danger that the power
cable could be accidentally pulled or that someone
could trip over it when the appliance is in use.
• Unplug the appliance if any failure occurs.
• Unplug the appliance before each cleaning and when
the appliance is not in use.
• Do not pull the power cable of the appliance to unplug
the appliance from the outlet and do not wrap its
power cable around the appliance.
• If the power cable or the appliance itself is damaged,
do not use it. Contact an authorised service.
• Your mains power supply should comply with the
information supplied on the rating plate of the
appliance.
• Never use the appliance in or near to combustible or
inflammable places and materials.
• Do not use the appliance next or close to heat
resources (hob, grill, heater core, stove etc.).
• Keep the appliance away from steam resources and
avoid using it in environments containing excessive
steam.

• Do not use the cooking reservoirs with any other
heater (hob, etc.) apart from the appliance.
• The appliance is designed to be used in houses,
kitchens of the employees at offices, stores and other
working environments, and in the guest rooms at the
hotels, motels and other accommodation places. This
appliance is not fit for professional use.
• Do not use the appliance for anything other than its
in tended use.
• The coffee machine can only be used to make coffee.
• Extreme caution is advised when being used near
children and persons who are restricted in their
physical, sensory or mental abilities.
• This appliance may be used by children who are at
the age of 8 or over and the people whose physical,
perceptive or mental skills are impaired or who are
inexperienced or not knowledgeable about the
appliance as long as they are supervised or informed
and made understood the safe use of the appliance
and the encountered dangers. Children should not
play with the appliance.

1.2 Complance wth the WEEE drectve and
dsposal of the waste product
This product does not include harmful or prohibited materials
specified in the "Regulation for Supervision of the Waste
Electric and Electronic Appliances" issued by the Ministry of
Environment and Urbanisation. This appliance conforms to the
WEEE regulation. This appliance was manufactured from high
quality parts and materials which are recyclable and re-usable.
For this reason, do not dispose of this appliance with the domestic or oth-
er types of wastes at the end of its service life. Take it to a collection point
which is dedicated to recycling of electric and electronic appliances. Ask
the local authority in your area for these collection points. Help protect
the environment and natural resources by recycling used products.
1.3 Package nformaton
Package of the product is made of recyclable materials in accord-
ance with our national legislation. Do not dispose the package

3.1 Intal use
1. Make sure that the applance
stands uprght on a balanced,
flat, clean, dry and non-skd sur-
face.
3.2 Fllng the water
reservor
1. Holdng the water reservor ld
(10), open the water reservor
(12).
2. Check the water reservor (12)
through the water reservor le-
vel wndow (11) and fll t.

the ‘’I’’ poston
3. Insert the cookng reservor (19),
wthout addng anythng, nto
the cookng seat (20 or 21).
4. Press the sngle servng coffee
button (2 or 6).
5. After 4 to 5 seconds, once the
pump’s operatng nose s gone,
press and hold the sngle servng
coffee button (2 or 6) for 3 se-
conds to end the process.

3.5 Amounts
This is an easy-to-use appliance
designed to prepare Turkish coffee.
You can cook foamy Turkish coffee
that suits to your tastes by using
the appropriate amounts given in
the table.
The amounts given below are for
reference only. You can adapt them
to your personal preferences.

• These quantities are for a me-
dium-size cup and single serving.
• You can use the coffee measure
(17) supplied with the Turkish
Coffee Machine to put coffee.
• Use fresh coffee for a tasty and
foamy Turkish coffee.
3.6 Sleep mode
If you do nothing with your ma-
chine for 3 minutes, it will emit a
beep sound and switch to Stand-
by automatically. Once you place/
remove the cooking reservoir (19)
to/from the cooking seat (20 or
21), the appliance will be energised
with a warning sound.
