1.1 General safety
•Do not use the appliance outdoors or in the
bathroom.
•Operate the appliance with its original base. Do not
use the base for any other purpose.
•Do not use the appliance with damp or wet hands.
•Before using of the appliance for first time, clean all
parts which come into contact with water carefully.
Please see details in the “Cleaning and Care”
section.
•Prevent damage to the power cord by not squeezing,
bending or rubbing it on sharp edges. Keep the cord
away from hot surfaces and open flames.
•Never use the appliance in or near to combustible,
inflammable places and materials.
•Operate the appliance with delivered parts only.
•Operate the appliance with its original base. Do not
use the base for any other purpose.
•Always use the appliance on a stable, flat, clean
and dry surface.

•Hold the appliance by the handle only. There is a
danger of burns. Avoid contact with hot surfaces as
well as with the emitting steam.
•Position the lid so that the hot steam is directed
away from you.
•Do not open the lid while the water is boiling. Be
careful while you are opening the lid after the water
has boiled. The steam which comes out of the kettle
is very hot.
•Make sure that when using the kettle, the lid always
remains closed properly.
•Never fill the kettle above the maximum level
indicator. If it is overfilled, then boiling water may
splash out.
•Do not fill the kettle below the minimum level
indicator.
•Never operate the appliance without any water
inside it.
•Do not fill the kettle when it is fitted on its base.

•Our BEKO Household Appliances meet applicable
safety standards, thus if the appliance or power
cord is damaged, it must be repaired or replaced by
the dealer, a service centre or a similarly qualified
and authorized service person to avoid any dangers.
Faulty or unqualified repair work may cause danger
and risks to the user.
•Make sure that that there is no danger that the
power cord could be accidentally pulled or that
someone could trip over it when the appliance is
in use.
•Check if the mains voltage on the rating label
corresponds to your local mains supply. The only
way to disconnect the appliance from the mains is
to pull out the plug.
•Do not use the appliance with damp or wet hands.
•For additional protection, this device should be
connected to a household faulty current protection
switch with no more than 30 mA.

•Do not immerse the appliance, base, power cord or
power plug in water or in other liquids and do not
clean parts in dishwasher.
•Disconnect the power plug after using the appliance,
before cleaning the appliance, before leaving the
room or if a fault occurs. Do not disconnect the plug
by pulling on the cord.
•Use a grounded outlet.
•Prevent damage to the power cord by not squeezing,
bending or rubbing it on sharp edges. Keep the cord
away from hot surfaces and open flames.
•Do not use an extension cord with the appliance.
•Never use the appliance if the power cord or the
appliance is damaged.
•Dry the appliance before connecting it to mains
supply.
•Do not use the appliance for anything other than
its intended use. The kettle is designed for boiling
water. Do not use the kettle to heat any other liquids
or tinned, jarred, bottled food.

•This appliance is intended to be used in household
only. It is not designed for professional use in:
-staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other
working environments;
-farm houses;
-by clients in hotels, motels, and other residential
type environment
-bed and breakfast type environment.
•Do not leave the appliance unattended as long as
it is in use. Extreme caution is advised when the
appliance is being used near children and people
with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities.
•Keep all packaging materials away from children.
•Always keep the appliance and its cord out of reach
of children aged less than 8 years.

•This appliance can be used by children aged from
8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack
of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved. Children shall not play with the
appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not
be made by children unless they are older than 8
and suprvised.

1.2 Compliance with WEEE regulation and disposal of the waste
product
This product does not contain harmful and forbidden materials described
in the “Directive on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous
Substances in Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment” (WEEE) issued
by the T.R. Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. Complies with the
WEEE Directive.
This product has been manufactured with high quality parts and materials which
can be reused and are suitable for recycling.Therefore, do not dispose of the
product with normal domestic waste at the end of its service life. Take it to a
collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. Please
consult your local authorities to learn the nearest collection point. Help protect
the environment and natural resources by recycling used products. For children’s
safety, cut the power cable and break the locking mechanism of the loading door
so that it will be non-functional before disposing of the product.
1.3 Package information
Packaging materials of the product are manufactured from recyclable
materials in accordance with our National Environment Regulations. Do
not dispose of the packaging materials together with the domestic or
other wastes. Take them to the packaging material collection points
designated by the local authorities.

3.1 Preparation
1. Before using of the appliance for
first time, clean all parts which
come into contact with water
carefully (See 4.1).
2. Completely roll out the power
cord from the power cord
storage (8) on the bottom. Pass
the power cord through the slot
on the base (7).
3. Fill the kettle with water.
4. Set the kettle on its base (7).
Make sure that the kettle is
sitting in an upright position
and that it is sitting on the base
correctly and in a stable position.
5. Pour out the hot water and
rinse the kettle with water.
This will remove any remaining
manufacturing residues from the
inside of the kettle.
6. Clean kettle well before initial
use and discard water of first two
boiling cycles.
3.2 Operation
1. Push the lid release button (3) on
the kettle to open the lid (2).
– The lid (2) opens automatically.
2. Fill the water tank with water.

tle on the base (7)
while filling it with
water.
3. Close the lid (2) until it clicks into
place.
4. Place the water tank on the base
(7). Make sure that it is sitting in
an upright and stable position.
5. Insert the plug into the wall soc-
ket.
6. Press down On / Off switch (4).
– Power on indicator illuminates
and heating process begins.

Lid (2) should always

erwise the kettle will
not switch off auto-

7. After a few minutes,the water will
start to boil. The kettle switches
off automatically and On / Off
switch (4) moves upwards.

If you want to stop
the heating manu-
ally, push the On / Off
switch (4) upwards.
Power on indicator
(4) goes off.
8. Disconnect the plug from the
wall socket.
9. Take the kettle from the base (7).
Only hold it by the handle (5).

WARNING: Do not
open the lid (2) as hot
water could splash
out. Make sure that
no water splashes
onto the base (7).
10.Pour the water from the spout
to the cup or glass you want to
use.
CLet the kettle cool
down between each
heating process.

4.1 Cleaning
A
WARNING: Never use
petrol, solvents or
abrasive cleaners,
metal objects or hard
brushes to clean the
appliance.
1. Turn the appliance off and dis-
connect it from the wall socket.
2. Let the appliance cool down
completely.
3. Use a damp soft cloth and a little
mild cleanser to clean the exte-
rior of the appliance.
4. The filter (1) can be removed for
cleaning purposes. To do this:
5. Press the release downwards
and take out the filter (1).
6. Depending on the level of lime
build-up, clean the filter (1) with
water and a little lemon juice or
white vinegar. Use a soft brush.
7. Insert the filter (1) again from
above until it clicks into place.

WARNING: Never put
the appliance, base
(7) or power cord (8)
in water or any other
liquid.
4.2 Descaling
Descaling extends the life of your
kettle. Descaling period depends
on the water hardness of your area.
1. Fill the kettle with water, up to
three quarters of the maximum
level.
2. Add white vinegar or citric acid
in the kettle up to the maximum
level.
3. Boil the solution (refer to
operation section).
4. After the kettle has switched off,
unplug the appliance.
5. Leave the solution in the kettle
for a few hours.
6. Pour out the solution and rinse
the inside thoroughly.
7. Fill the kettle with clean water
and boil the water.
8. Empty the kettle and again rinse
it with water.

CIf there is still some
scale, repeat the pro-
cedure.

You can also use a
descaler which is ap-
propriate for utensils.
If you use a descaler,
please follow the
instructions of that
descaler.

WARNING: If you do
not descale the ket-
tle after a long time
you use it, the bottom
at the inside of the
water tank fully gets
covered with scales
of lime and the ap-
pliance will not work
again. In that case,
it requires to be re-
paired by a service
centre.
4 Cleaning and care
4.3 Storage
•If you do not plan to use the
appliance for a long period of
time, please store it carefully.
•Make sure the appliance is
unplugged and completely dry.
•Wind up the power cord (8)
around the power cord storage
(8) on the bottom of the base (7).
•Store the appliance in a cool, dry
place.
•Make sure the appliance is kept
out of the reach of children.
