Failure to follow these instructions invalidates the
granted warranty.
1.1 General safety
•This appliance complies with the international
safety standards.
•This appliance can be used by children aged from 8
years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a
safe way and understand the hazards involved.
•Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning
and user maintenance shall not be made by children
unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
•Do not use it if the power cable or the appliance
itself is damaged. Contact an authorised service.

•This appliance is intended to be used in household
only. It is not designed for professional use in:
-staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other
working environments;
-farm houses;
-by clients in hotels, motels, and other residential
type environment
-bed and breakfast type environment.
•Your mains power supply should comply with the
information supplied on the rating plate of the
appliance.
•For additional protection, this appliance should be
connected to a household faulty current protection
switch with no more than 30 mA.
•Use the appliance with a grounded outlet only.
•Do not use the appliance with an extension cord.
•Do not squeeze or bend the power cord and do
not rub it on sharp edges in order to prevent any
damage.

•Do not touch the appliance or its plug with wet or
damp hands when the appliance is plugged in.
•Do not pull the power cable when unplugging the
appliance.
•This appliance is intended for private domestic use
only and is not suitable for professional-catering
purposes.
•Never fill the appliance above the maximum level
indicator, boiling water may splash out.
•Do not fill the kettle below the minimum level
indicator.
•Do not open the lid while the water is boiling.
•Position the lid so that the hot steam is directed
away from you.
•Hold the appliance by the handle only.
•Never operate the appliance without any water
inside it.
•Do not fill the kettle when it is fitted on its base.
•Operate the appliance with its original base.

•Always use the appliance on a stable and flat
surface.
•Do not attempt to dismantle the appliance.
•Only use the original parts or parts recommended

•Do not immerse the appliance, or power plug in
water or any other liquids.
•Never use the appliance in or near to combustible
or inflammable places and materials.
•If you keep the packaging materials, store them out
of the reach of children.

1.2 Complance wth the WEEE Drectve and
dsposal of waste products
This product has been made from high-quality parts and materials which
can be re-used and are suitable for recycling.
Therefore, do not dispose of the product with normal household
waste at the end of its service life. Take it to a collection point for
the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. This is indi-
cated by this symbol on the product, in the operating manual
and on the packaging. Please consult your local authorities to
find out where the nearest collection point is.
Help protect the environment by recycling used products.
1.3 Package Informaton
The packaging used for the appliance is made of recyclable mate-
rials. Please ensure that the packaging materials are disposed of
as per the applicable local rules in order to include the materials
in recycling process for environment protection.

3.1 Preparaton
1. Before usng of the applance for
frst tme, clean all parts whch
come nto contact wth water
carefully (See 4.1).
2. Completely roll out the power
cord from the power cord sto-
rage (8) on the bottom. Pass the
power cord through the slot on
the base (7).
3. Fll the kettle wth water.
4. Set the kettle on ts base (7).
Make sure that the kettle s st-
tng n an uprght poston and
that t s sttng on the base cor-
rectly and n a stable poston.
5. Pour out the hot water and rnse
the kettle wth water. Ths wll
remove any remanng manufac-
turng resdues from the nsde
of the kettle.
6. Clean kettle well before ntal
use and dscard water of frst
two bolng cycles.
3.2 Operaton
1. Push the ld release button (3)
on the kettle to open the ld (2).
– Theld(2)opensautomatcally.
2. Fll the water tank wth water.

4. Place the water tank on the base
(7). Make sure that t s sttng n

5. Insert the plug nto the wall soc-

6. Press down On / Off swtch (4).

Lid (2) should always
be closed during the
heating process; oth-
erwise the kettle will
not switch off auto-
matically.
7. After a few mnutes, the wa-
ter wll start to bol. The kettle
swtches off automatcally and
On / Off swtch (4) moves up-
wards.

If you want to stop
the heating manu-
ally, push the On / Off
switch (4) upwards.
Power on indicator
(4) goes off.
8. Dsconnect the plug from the
wall socket.
9. Take the kettle from the base
(7). Only hold t by the handle (5).

WARNING: Do not
open the lid (2) as hot
water could splash
out. Make sure that
no water splashes
onto the base (7).
10. .Pour the water from the spout
to the cup or glass you want to
use.

4.1 Cleanng

WARNING: Never
use petrol, solvents
or abrasive cleaners,
metal objects or hard
brushes to clean the
appliance.
1. Turn the applance off and ds-
connect t from the wall socket.
2. Let the applance cool down
completely.
3. Use a damp soft cloth and a lttle
mld cleanser to clean the exter-
or of the applance.
4. The flter (1) can be removed for
cleanng purposes. To do ths:
5. Press the release downwards
and take out the flter (1).
6. Dependng on the level of lme
buld-up, clean the flter (1) wth
water and a lttle lemon juce or
whte vnegar. Use a soft brush.
7. Insert the flter (1) agan from
above untl t clcks nto place.

WARNING: Never
put the appliance,
base (7) or power
cord (8) in water or
any other liquid.
4.2 Descalng
Descaling extends the life of your
kettle. Descaling period depends
on the water hardness of your area.
1. Fll the kettle wth water, up to
three quarters of the maxmum
level.
2. Add whte vnegar or ctrc acd
n the kettle up to the maxmum
level.
3. Bol the soluton (refer to opera-
ton secton).
4. After the kettle has swtched
off, unplug the applance.
5. Leave the soluton n the kettle
for a few hours.

6. Pour out the soluton and rnse
the nsde thoroughly.
7. Fll the kettle wth clean water
and bol the water.
8. Empty the kettle and agan rnse
t wth water.

If there is still some
scale, repeat the pro-
cedure.

You can also use a
descaler which is ap-
propriate for utensils.
If you use a descaler,
please follow the
instructions of that
descaler.
4 Cleanng and care
A
WARNING: If you
do not descale the
kettle after a long
time you use it, the
bottom at the inside
of the water tank ful-
ly gets covered with
scales of lime and
the appliance will not
work again. In that
case, it requires to be
repaired by a service
centre.
4.3 Storage
•If you do not plan to use the
applance for a long perod of
tme, please store t carefully.
•Make sure the applance s
unplugged and completely dry.
•Wnd up the power cord (8)
around the power cord storage
(8) on the bottom of the base (7).
•Store the applance n a cool, dry
place.
•Make sure the applance s kept
out of the reach of chldren.
