Failure to follow these instructions invalidates the
granted warranty.
1.1 General safety
•This appliance complies with the international
safety standards.
•This appliance can be used by children aged from 8
years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a
safe way and understand the hazards involved.
•Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning
and user maintenance shall not be made by children
unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
•Do not use it if the power cable or the appliance
itself is damaged. Contact an authorised service.

•This appliance is intended to be used in household
only. It is not designed for professional use in:
-staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other
working environments;
-farm houses;
-by clients in hotels, motels, and other residential
type environment
-bed and breakfast type environment.
•Your mains power supply should comply with the
information supplied on the rating plate of the
appliance.
•For additional protection, this appliance should be
connected to a household faulty current protection
switch with no more than 30 mA.
•Use the appliance with a grounded outlet only.
•Do not use the appliance with an extension cord.
•Do not squeeze or bend the power cord and do
not rub it on sharp edges in order to prevent any
damage.

•Do not touch the appliance or its plug with wet or
damp hands when the appliance is plugged in.
•Do not pull the power cable when unplugging the
appliance.
•This appliance is intended for private domestic use
only and is not suitable for professional-catering
purposes.
•Never fill the appliance above the maximum level
indicator, boiling water may splash out.
•Do not fill the kettle below the minimum level
indicator.
•Do not open the lid while the water is boiling.
•Position the lid so that the hot steam is directed
away from you.
•Hold the appliance by the handle only.
•Never operate the appliance without any water
inside it.
•Do not fill the kettle when it is fitted on its base.
•Operate the appliance with its original base.

•Always use the appliance on a stable and flat
surface.
•Do not attempt to dismantle the appliance.
•Only use the original parts or parts recommended

•Do not immerse the appliance, or power plug in
water or any other liquids.
•Never use the appliance in or near to combustible
or inflammable places and materials.
•If you keep the packaging materials, store them out
of the reach of children.

1.2 Complance wth the WEEE Drectve and
dsposal of waste products
This product has been made from high-quality parts and materials which
can be re-used and are suitable for recycling.
Therefore, do not dispose of the product with normal household
waste at the end of its service life. Take it to a collection point for
the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. This is indi-
cated by this symbol on the product, in the operating manual
and on the packaging. Please consult your local authorities to
find out where the nearest collection point is.
Help protect the environment by recycling used products.
1.3 Package Informaton
The packaging used for the appliance is made of recyclable mate-
rials. Please ensure that the packaging materials are disposed of
as per the applicable local rules in order to include the materials
in recycling process for environment protection.

3.1 Preparaton
1. Before usng of the applance for
frst tme, clean all parts whch
come nto contact wth water
carefully (See 4.1).
2. Completely roll out the power
cord from the power cord sto-
rage (8) on the bottom. Pass the
power cord through the slot on
the base (7).
3. Fll the kettle wth water.
4. Set the kettle on ts base (7).
Make sure that the kettle s st-
tng n an uprght poston and
that t s sttng on the base cor-
rectly and n a stable poston.
5. Pour out the hot water and rnse
the kettle wth water. Ths wll
remove any remanng manufac-
turng resdues from the nsde
of the kettle.
6. Clean kettle well before ntal
use and dscard water of frst
two bolng cycles.
3.2 Operaton
1. Push the ld release button (3)
on the kettle to open the ld (2).
– Theld(2)opensautomatcally.
2. Fll the water tank wth water.

4. Place the water tank on the base
(7). Make sure that t s sttng n
an uprght and stable poston.
5. Insert the plug nto the wall soc-
ket.
6. Press down On / Off swtch (4).

and heatng process begns.

Lid (2) should always
be closed during the
heating process; oth-
erwise the kettle will
not switch off auto-
matically.
7. After a few mnutes, the wa-
ter wll start to bol. The kettle
swtches off automatcally and
On / Off swtch (4) moves up-
wards.

If you want to stop
the heating manu-
ally, push the On / Off
switch (4) upwards.
Power on indicator
(4) goes off.
8. Dsconnect the plug from the
wall socket.
9. Take the kettle from the base
(7). Only hold t by the handle (5).

WARNING:
Do not
open the lid (2) as hot
water could splash
out. Make sure that
no water splashes
onto the base (7).
10. .Pour the water from the spout
to the cup or glass you want to
use.

4.1 Cleanng

WARNING:
Never
use petrol, solvents
or abrasive cleaners,
metal objects or hard
brushes to clean the
appliance.
1. Turn the applance off and ds-
connect t from the wall socket.
2. Let the applance cool down
completely.
3. Use a damp soft cloth and a lttle
mld cleanser to clean the exter-
or of the applance.
4. The flter (1) can be removed for
cleanng purposes. To do ths:
5. Press the release downwards
and take out the flter (1).
6. Dependng on the level of lme
buld-up, clean the flter (1) wth
water and a lttle lemon juce or
whte vnegar. Use a soft brush.
7. Insert the flter (1) agan from
above untl t clcks nto place.

WARNING:
Never
put the appliance,
base (7) or power
cord (8) in water or
any other liquid.
4.2 Descalng
Descaling extends the life of your
kettle. Descaling period depends
on the water hardness of your area.
1. Fll the kettle wth water, up to
three quarters of the maxmum
level.
2. Add whte vnegar or ctrc acd
n the kettle up to the maxmum
level.
3. Bol the soluton (refer to opera-
ton secton).
4. After the kettle has swtched
off, unplug the applance.
5. Leave the soluton n the kettle
for a few hours.

6. Pour out the soluton and rnse
the nsde thoroughly.
7. Fll the kettle wth clean water
and bol the water.
8. Empty the kettle and agan rnse
t wth water.

If there is still some
scale, repeat the pro-
cedure.

You can also use a
descaler which is ap-
propriate for utensils.
If you use a descaler,
please follow the
instructions of that
descaler.
4 Cleanng and care
A
WARNING:
If you
do not descale the
kettle after a long
time you use it, the
bottom at the inside
of the water tank ful-
ly gets covered with
scales of lime and
the appliance will not
work again. In that
case, it requires to be
repaired by a service
centre.
4.3 Storage
•If you do not plan to use the
applance for a long perod of
tme, please store t carefully.
•Make sure the applance s
unplugged and completely dry.
•Wnd up the power cord (8)
around the power cord storage
(8) on the bottom of the base (7).
•Store the applance n a cool, dry
place.
•Make sure the applance s kept
out of the reach of chldren.
