BellAire™ Model 7000 Tire Inflator Instructions
• Keep children and others away while operating inflator.
• Keep the inflator dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Always use a clean cloth when cleaning. Never use
typical vehicle fluids such as brake fluid, gasoline, any petroleum products or strong solvents to clean inflator.
• Operate inflator in an open area and away from any objects that could restrict the flow of air to ventilation
openings.
• Do not operate inflator near fire, flammable liquids or in gaseous or explosive atmospheres.
• Always wear eye protection.
• Always use in a safe area away from traffic and other dangers.
• Do not attempt to disassemble inflator. No user serviceable parts inside. Only user serviceable part is fuse
replacement. See maintenance section on page 14.
• Before each use, always check inflator hoses and 12 Volt cord for weak or worn condition and make certain
all connections are secure. Do not use if a defect is present.
• Do not pull or carry the inflator by the power cord or air hose.
• Do not over stretch power cord or air hose.
• Never point an inflator air hose toward yourself, others or animals.
• Never start a vehicle with the inflator plugged into the DC 12 Volt power socket. See operation instructions
on pages 5 through 13.
• Use the inflator for its intended use only. Do not alter or modify the inflator.
• Do not insert metal objects into the DC 12 Volt power outlet. Doing so may blow the inflator fuse.
• Do not store inflator in a damp or wet location. Protect the inflator from rain, snow or other moisture
sources.
• When not in use, make certain the main power switch is in the off position. See #1 in figure 1, page 3. Store
inflator out of the reach of children.
• IMPORTANCE OF PROPER TIRE PRESSURE
— Correct tire pressure is vital to road safety.
— Correct tire pressure can help improve vehicle fuel economy.
— Regularly check tires on vehicles to meet manufacturer’s recommended tire pressure.
— Always check pressures at ambient temperature, never check immediately following a long trip.
• RECHARGEABLE BATTERY CAUTIONS
The inflator’s internal rechargeable battery must be charged before the initial use and at least once every 6
months. If the power is completely drained from the battery and not recharged within a month, the battery
may not be rechargeable. Turn main power switch to the off position before storing inflator for any length of
time. See #1 in figure 1.
— Do not continue to operate the inflator when the red battery indicator light is on by itself.
— Only use the AC adapter, included with this inflator, for recharging the internal battery.
— Plugging into a cigarette light socket or power socket does not recharge the internal battery. Only the AC
adapter, included with this inflator, will recharge the battery.
— Do not charge the battery at temperatures below 40 °F (5 °C) or above 105 °F (40 °C).
— Do not operate the inflator with the AC recharging adapter connected to the inflator to avoid damage to the
charging adapter, internal battery or inflator. Improper connection of the AC recharging adapter while
operating the inflator may void the warranty.
— Never operate the inflator near fire, flammable gas or liquid.
• WARNING: COMPRESSED AIR CAN BE DANGEROUS
— Never allow children to use this inflator.
— Never leave inflator unattended while running.
— Never over-inflate items. Over-inflation could cause property damage or personal injury.
— Check manufacturer’s recommended inflation pressure before starting the inflation process.
• WARNING: VEHICLE EXHAUST WITHOUT PROPER VENTILATION IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS
— Never start and leave a vehicle running in a confined or enclosed space such as a garage. Start and run
vehicles outdoors.

INFLATOR OPERATION
BATTERY INDICATOR LIGHTS
Green, yellow and red battery level lights indicate the inflator’s internal rechargeable battery’s current power condition.
See battery level lighting chart below.
GREEN LIGHT YELLOW LIGHT RED LIGHT BATTERY LEVEL LIGHTS
ON ON ON Full to normal battery power
OFF ON ON Weak battery power – Needs recharging
OFF OFF ON Exhausted battery power – Needs recharging immediately*
* Do not continue to operate the inflator when the red battery indicator light is on by itself.
USING THE AC POWER ADAPTER TO RECHARGE INFLATOR INTERNAL BATTERY
1. Before recharging internal battery, see “Rechargeable Battery Cautions”, page 4.
2. Ensure the main power switch is in the “on” position and the inflator power switch and work light power switch are
in the “off” position. See #1, #2 & #3 in figure 1, page 3.
3. Insert the AC power adapter plug into the “DC In” socket on the front of the inflator. See #11 in figure 1.
4. Plug the 110 AC adapter into a 110 Volt electrical outlet. See #18 in figure 1.
5. The red recharging indicator light should flash indicating the battery is recharging.
6. Before first use, charge inflator battery for 14 to 16 hours. After initial charge and subsequent usage, the battery
requires 7 to 9 hours to recharge. If the unit is used too long after the red battery level light comes on, recharging
time could take up to 20 hours.
7. For best results, charge the battery in temperatures ranging from 65 °F (18 °C) to 75 °F (24 °C). If the inflator has
been exposed to below or above the safe charging temperature range, let inflator adjust in the appropriate climate
for 3 hours before charging.
8. When fully charged, the internal battery should be capable of filling a standard P195/65R15 tire 4 to 5 times.
NOTE: In the event the battery level is low to exhausted, the inflator can still be used if powered by using the 12 Volt DC
power cord attached to a vehicle 12 Volt cigarette lighter socket. The inflator will only draw power from the vehicle 12
Volt cigarette lighter when the 12 Volt cord is plugged in.
For the safety of your vehicle and your new BellAire™ 7000 tire inflator, set your vehicle emergency brake and follow
instructions for use as provided.
INFLATING TIRES
USING A VEHICLE 12 VOLT DC CIGARETTE LIGHTER SOCKET TO INFLATE TIRES:
1. Remove and unwind 12 Volt power cord from the storage compartment. See #22 in figure 1, page 3.
2. Make certain the inflator main and inflator power switches are both in the off position. See #1 & #2 in figure 1.
3. Set emergency brake and start vehicle engine. See “Warning: Vehicle Exhaust Without Proper Ventilation”, page 4.
4. Plug inflator lighter plug into vehicle 12 Volt cigarette lighter socket.
5. Turn on the main power switch only. See #1 in figure 1.
6. Check manufacturer’s recommended tire pressure specifications indicated on the tire sidewall.
7. Choose the desired pressure format (PSI, BAR, or KPA) by pressing the “R” button. Press “R” button until desired pres-
sure format appears on the LCD display. See #5 in figure 2, page 3.
IMPORTANT: The “R” re-set button should never be pressed while the air hose is connected to the tire and the “R”,”+”, “–“
buttons should never be pressed while the tire inflator is running. If the “R” button is accidently pressed, turn the inflator
power switch only to the off position (see #2 in figure 1), then press and hold down “–“ to check the pre-set pressure. See
#6 in figure 2. Adjust “+” or “–“ to set desired pressure.
8. Set the auto shut-off pressure level by pressing the “+” or “–“ buttons. Once the pre-set pressure is set, wait a few
seconds for the display to change back to zero.
9. Extend the air hose from its storage location and attach air hose nozzle to vehicle tire valve stem by threading the
nozzle onto the stem clockwise until secure. See #7 & #9 in figure 1.
NOTE: When the nozzle is connected correctly, wait 5-7 seconds and the gauge will indicate the current tire pressure.
