Beforeusingyournewappliancefortherst
time,itismostimportantthatyoureadand
followtheinstructionsinthisbooklet,evenif

Thisappliancehasbeendesignedtooperate
fromastandarddomesticpoweroutlet.Itisnot
intendedforindustrialorcommercialuse.
BeforeFirstUse
Carefullywipetheexterioroftheapplianceto
removeanydustthatmayhaveaccumulated.
Drywithadrytowel.Donotuseharshabrasive
cleaners.Removeanylabelorstickers.Wash
theaccessoriesinwarmsoapywater,drywith
adrytowel.Donotimmersethesupplycord
ormotorpartofthisapplianceinwaterorany
otherliquids.
Washthejuicingbowl,strainer,strainerholder,
auger,foodpusher,juicecupandpulpcup
inwarmsoapywaterwithasoftclothornylon
brush.Rinseanddrythoroughly.
Note: These parts are not dishwasher
safe.
Thisappliancehasabuilt-insafetylock;this
featureensuresthatyoucanonlyswitchon
theapplianceifyouhaveassembledthe
JuicePresscorrectlyonthemotorunit.When
assembledcorrectly,thebuilt-insafetylockwill
beunlocked.

BeforeyouassembletheJuicePress,ensure
thatthepowercordisunplugged.
1.Placethemotorbaseonaatdrysurface
suchasacounter-top.
2.Underneaththejuicebowlisthepulp
extractionsilicon,whichisusedtoremove
thepulpfromthespoutofthejuicingbowl.
Ensurethatthesiliconisrmlyinsertedinto
thewhole.(seeg.1)

UsingyourJuicePress
1.Cleanfruitandvegetablesthoroughly,ready
forjuicing.
2.Ifjuicingfruitwithstonesorhardseeds,pitthe
fruit.Removeanyhardinedibleskins,i.e.skin
ofmelons,pineapplesandmangoespriorto
juicing.
Ifcitrusfruitsarebeingused,removetheskin
priortojuicing.
3.Ifpiecesoffruitorvegetablesareverylarge,
chopthemtoasizethatwilltdownthe
JuicePress’sfoodchute.
4.Ensurethesafetyclampsarelockedin
positionontopoftheJuicePresslid.
5.TurnthecontrolswitchToOntojuicefruits.
6.Pressthefoodpusherslowlydownuntilallfruit
orvegetableshavegonethroughtheJuice
Press.Donotpressthefoodpusherrapidlyas
theJuicePresswillnotbeaseffective.
7.CAUTION:donotputyourhandoranyother
objectinthefoodchuteduringoperation.
8.Thejuicefromthefruitand/orvegetableswill
owdirectlyintothejuicecupandthepulp
willbecollectedinthepulpbin.

9.Whenjuicingiscomplete,ensurethatthe
JuicePress’scontrolswitchissettotheOFF
position,thepoweristurnedoffattheoutlet
andtheJuicePressisunplugged.Itisnow
safetodisassembletheunit.
10.IftheJuiceBowlisstuckanddoesnotdetach
fromthebase,Pressthereversebutton“R”
for3-5seconds.Repeatthisprocess2-3times.
Thenpushthebowlupwardwhileturning.
11.Thestrainerisequippedwithanauto-
cleaningbrush.

2.Removethepulptankandjuicecup.

DonotplaceiceorfrozenfruitintotheJuice
Press.Donotpushthefooddownwithexcessive
force.Thefoodpusherisdesignedtogently
pushfooddownthechuteiffoodbecomes
stuck.
Insertfoodataregularspeed,allowingallthe
pulptobeextracted.Formaximumefciency,
donotrushthisprocess.
Whenjuicingleafygreensorwheatgrass,it
issuggestedthatyoumixitwithfruitsorother
hardvegetablesforoptimalresults.Juicenuts
onlywithotherfoodssuchassoakedsoybeans
orliquids.Checktherecipesattheendofthe
operatinginstructionsforideas.
Thejuicefromfreshfruitandvegetablesishigh
innutritionalcontent.Juicefromfreshfruitand
vegetablesisanimportantpartofabalanced
diet.
Whenselectingfruitandvegetablesforjuicing,
alwaysselectfreshandwellripenedspecimens.
Freshfruitandvegetablescarrymoreavour
andjuicethanthosethatarenotproperly
ripened.Juiceisbestconsumedwhenfreshly
madeasthisiswhenitsvitaminandmineral
contentishighest.
YourJuicePresscanhandlemostvarietiesoffruit
andvegetables.Ifusingfruitwithhard,inedible
skin(i.e.watermelons,pineapple,mangoes
etc.)alwayspeeltheskinbeforeplacinginthe
JuicePress.Theskinofcitrusfruitshouldalso
beremovedbeforefruitisplacedintheJuice
Press.Forbettertastingcitrusjuice,alsoremove
theinnerwhitepeelfromthefruit.Fruitswith
stonesorhardseeds(i.e.mangoes,nectarines,
apricots,andcherries)shouldbepittedbefore
juicing.Asmallamountoflemoncanbeadded
toapplejuicetopreventthejuicebrowning.
TheJuicePressisnotsuitableforjuicingvery
hardandstarchyfruitsorvegetablessuchas
sugarcane.Whenjuicingfruitandvegetables
ofdifferentconsistencyitmayhelptojuice
differentcombinations,i.e.juicesoftfruitrst,(i.e.
oranges)thenfollowwithhardfruit(i.e.apples).
Thiswillhelpyouachievemaximum
juiceextraction.Ifjuicingherbsorleafy
vegetables,wrapthemtogethertoforma
bundlebeforeplacingintheJuicePressor
combinethemwithotheringredientsonlow
speed.
NOTE: The Juice Press will only function
correctly if all parts have been assembled
correctly, the hopper is in position.

Maintenance
Regularmaintenanceofyourappliancewill
keepitsafeandinproperoperationalorder.
BeforeCleaning
Whennotinuseorbeforecleaning,always
disconnecttheappliancefromthemainssupply.
Cleaning
AlwaysensurethattheJuicePressisturned
offandthepowercordisunpluggedfromthe
poweroutletbeforecleaning,disassemblingor
assemblingandstoringtheappliance.
1.Immediatelyaftereachuse,usethenylon
brushtothoroughlycleanthenemeshholes
ofthestrainer.Brushtheinsideofthestrainer
underrunningwater,holdingituptowards
thelighttoensurethenemeshholesarenot
blocked.
2.UsethelterbrushprovidedwiththeJuice
Press.Thisbrushhasbeenspeciallydesigned
tocleanthestrainer.Simplyplacethestrainer
insidethebrushandunderrunningwater
twistthebrushleftandrighttoremovethe
pulpfromthestrainer.Youwillneedtouse
thesmallbrushprovidedtocleantheinside
ofthestrainer,thisshouldalsobedoneunder
runningwater.(seeFig.12)

Iftheholesareblocked,soakthelterbasket
inhotwaterwith10%lemonjuicetoloosenthe
blockedholes.
Tips:
Ifthestrainercannotbecleanedimmediately
afteruse,soakthelterbasketinhotsoapy
waterimmediatelyafterjuicingiscomplete.If
pulpislefttodryonthestrainer,itmayclog
thenemeshholes,therebylesseningthe
effectivenessoftheJuicePress.Donotsoakthe
strainerinbleach.
3.Washthejuicebowl,auger,strainerholder,
pulpcupandjuicingcupinwarmsoapy
waterwiththesmallnylonbrushorasoft
cloth.Rinseanddrythoroughly.
Note:Do not place any part of the
Juice Press in the dishwasher.
Tips:
Discolorationoftheplasticpartsmayoccur
withbrightlycoloredfruitandvegetables.To
helppreventthis,washpartsimmediatelyafter
use.Ifdiscolorationdoesoccur,theplastic
partscanbesoakedin10%lemonjuiceand
waterortheycanbecleanedwithanon
abrasivecleaner.Donotsoakthelterbasket
inbleach.Donotsoakthemotorbase.
4.Wipethemotorbasewithasoftdampcloth
anddrythoroughly.Donotuseabrasive
scouringpadsorcleanerswhencleaning
themotorbaseasthesemayscratchthe
surface.Wipeanyexcessfoodparticles
fromthepowercord.
