4.1 Handset
DECT base station The DECT base station is also a charging station and
speaker for phone calls, answer machine, music playback,
Internet Radio, etc.
1MMENU key • Press once to access the menu options
2TPHONE ON key • Press once to access the Dialler.
• Press once to answer a call.

• Navigate up, down, left and right.
• Press Up/Down to increase or decrease volume.
5OPHONE OFF
key
• Press once to turn on the handset.
• Press and hold to open the options menu that lets you turn
off the phone or return to the Home screen.

4.3 Basic operations of the iHome Phone
You can operate the iHome Phone by touching the surface of the screen using the Stylus
pen (included) or with your finger.
4.3.1 Using the stylus pen
The stylus pen is tucked away inside a holder (see page 6).
To remove the stylus, simply pull out the pen.
Whenever you want to replace the stylus back into the holder, make sure that the clip is
facing up and the pen is inserted with the tip first. Then, gently push the stylus into the
holder.
Familiarize yourself with the stylus actions until you can navigate the various screens on
your iHome Phone.
4.3.2 Using your finger
Action Function Operations
Tap • Select onscreen items such as
application and settings icons
• Select onscreen buttons
• Type using the onscreen keyboard
Gently tap an item on the screen to
select the item that you wish to
activate.
Tap and
hold
Open the available options for an
item, for example, tap and hold a
contact or a link on a web page.
Think of this as using the right-click
button on a mouse.
Tap an item on the screen and hold
in place for 2-3 seconds.
Drag Move items on the screen or shift the
view on the screen.
Apply light pressure against an item
on the screen then, without raising
your finger, move it across the
screen until you have reached the
target position.
Slide Quickly move vertically or
horizontally across the screen.
Flick Quickly browse a list of items in a
vertical direction.
Flick is similar to slide, except that
flick involves swiping the screen in
lighter and quicker strokes.

4.3.3 Calibrate the touch screen
1From the home screen, press M.
2Tap Settings > Sound & display > Calibration.
3Use the stylus pen to press the center of the cross "+" as accurately as possible in the
four corners of the screen, and finally at the center of the screen.
4Repeat Step 3 to verify the calibration.
5After touch screen calibration, your iHome Phone will save the new touch screen data.
This process might take up to a few minutes.
4.3.4 Using Navigation Control
Press the navigation controls +, -, <or >to move around and highlight an item on the
screen. When an item is highlighted, tap on it to confirm your selection.
4.3.5 Status Icons
The icons in the status bar at the top of the screen give you information on the current
status of your iHome Phone:

Battery is fully charged
Battery low
Battery is charging
Screen lock is activated
SD is inserted
Wireless connection is on
DECT signal strength

4.3.6 Notifications panel
When the status bar displays a STATUS icon, tap and hold the status bar and slide
downward to open the notifications panel.
You can also press Mand tap Notifications to open the Notifications panel.
To hide the notifications panel, press Bor tap and hold the bottom bar of the
notifications panel and then slide upward.
