As air enters the BioZone unit, it is channeled into the air purification chamber. In
the chamber, the air is exposed to intense levels of germicidal, ultraviolet light
that destroys micro-organisms. The powerful wavelengths contained in the UV-
light react with the gaseous contents of the air to produce a purifying plasma that
contains reactive oxygen species such as atomic oxygen, hydroxyl radicals and
ozone,whichdestroybacteria,viruses,fungi,yeast,mould,algae,andother
harmful micro-organisms (as well as unpleasant odors).
Please see the attached warranty card, if included, or contact your local
distributor. The provisions of this warranty are in lieu of any other written
warranty, whether expressed or implied, written or oral, including any warranty of
merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The manufacturer's maximum
liability shall not exceed the actual purchase price paid by you for the product. In
no event shall the manufacturer be liable for special, incidental, consequential or
indirect damages. This warranty does not cover a defect that resulted from
improper or unreasonable use or maintenance, accident, improper packing, or
unauthorized tampering, alteration or modification as determined solely by us.
This warranty is void if the label bearing the serial number has been removed or

The BioZone Scientific Mini PowerZone II (Mini PowerZone) is an excellent tool
designed to eliminate unpleasant odors at their source. Mini PowerZone is
portable and can be used in any unoccupied space where odors are present.
When properly used, the Mini PowerZone significantly reduces bacteria and
other harmful micro-organisms in the air and on surfaces. Mini PowerZone does
not just mask odors with chemicals or perfumes; it actually destroys the odors
leaving a cleaner, more pleasant environment.

Operation
Mini PowerZone is designed to treat odors and odor producing substances in
an unoccupied space. To ensure the safety of the user, people in the area,
and/or animals; follow these instructions carefully and observe the following
warnings.
Warning: Read Before Using the Mini PowerZone
·Make sure the space is empty with no people or animals inside.
·Set the Mini PowerZone timer, start the unit and leave the
space to be treated.
·Return to the treated space 20 minutes after the treatment time
has ended.
·Personal should avoid entering the treated space while the Mini
PowerZone unit is operating.
·Access to the treated space should be restricted while
treatment is in process.
·Do not look at lamp(s) when lit, UV light may damage eyes.
·High voltage inside, disconnect power source before removing
cover.
Recommendations
·Avoid operating the Mini PowerZone on a metal surface.
·Ensure that the intake and the outlet of the Mini PowerZone are not
blocked.
·Place the Mini PowerZone near a fan or incoming air vent to improve
circulation of the purifying plasma.
·Place the Mini PowerZone near the contaminated area.

Follow the below instructions to install The Mini PowerZone.
Before installation
Inspect the device for damage that may have occurred during transportation. If
the unit was damaged, do not connect it to the power supply. In the event of
damage, immediately inform the supplier or retail outlet where the unit was
purchased.
xThe Mini PowerZone unit must be connected to a power supply which
supplies 100-240VAC, 50-60Hz. There are two options for installation of
the Mini PowerZone unit:
Wall Plug
If the Mini PowerZone unit is provided with a region specific wall plug, plug the
unit into the appropriate wall outlet near the installation location. Figure 1-3
provides instructions to open the housing for wall mounting.
Permanent Connection to the Mains Supply
WARNING: These procedures should only be performed by a
qualified electrician according to national and local electrical
codes. Supply power should be turned off during installation or
when replacing components or checking connections. Never
perform maintenance or cleaning while fixture is energized.
If the Mini PowerZone unit is provided with an un-terminated AC power cord,
connect the unit permanently to a fused, switched circuit of the mains supply
near the installation location. If the Mini PowerZone unit is provided with a wall
plug, this plug may be removed for permanent installation.
Note: According to wiring code, stationary appliances or devices
classified in overvoltage category III require a means for disconnection
incorporated in the fixed wiring if the device is not fitted with a means for
disconnection from the supply mains having a contact separation that
provides full disconnection of all poles.
(The Mini PowerZone requires a means of disconnection in the fixed wiring.)
Please observe these requirements and guidelines
when installing the unit.
xInstall the unit so power can be disconnected before removing the cover for
service.
xSince the unit is not internally fused, the mains supply circuit must be
fused.
xThe unit is intended to operate continuously. Insure the power supply is
continuous and cannot be accidentally turned off.
xThe un-terminated AC power cord installed on the unit conforms to the
following IEC standard wire color coding.
xThe unit’s electrical connection to the mains supply must be connected
according to national and local electrical codes by a qualified electrician.
Installation

The Mini PowerZone II unit is supplied with a timer. The timer allows the user to
set the treatment time, start thetreatment,andreturnafter the area is treated
and the purifying plasma has dissipated.
Set the Mini PowerZone Timer
Press the Up Arrow once to increase time by 10
minute steps.
PressandholdtheUpArrowtorapidlyincrease
the time.
PressandholdtheUpArrowuntilthedisplay
shows: “C:_:_ _ _” to operate the unit
continuously.
Press the Down Arrow once to decrease time by
10 minute steps.
PressandholdtheDownArrowtorapidly
decrease time.
Press and hold the Down Arrow until the display
shows: “10.00.0” to set the minimum time of 10
minutes.
Start the Mini PowerZone timer and Mini
PowerZone II operation by pressing the ON/OFF
button.
Pause the MPZ timer and stop the Mini
PowerZone II operation by pressing the ON/OFF
button while the unit is running.
Note:When the Mini PowerZone is plugged in, the timer remembers the
previously used time setting.
ATTENTION
!
Servicing the Mini PowerZone requires a qualified
maintenance professional.
Disconnect power before cleaning or servicing the Mini
PowerZone.
Clean the Vented End Caps and Lamp(s) if using the Mini PowerZone in an
unusually dusty environment, cleaning should be done every (3) months to allow
the Mini PowerZone to operate at maximum efficiency.
Service data available on display
Press the up and down arrows simultaneously for 5
seconds to show the number of hours of operation
(dXXXX) and the number of on/off cycles (CXXXX).
Eg. (d 1245 , C 896) = 1245 hours of operation, 896
on/off cycles.
Timer Function
Service the Mini PowerZone

Lamp Cleaning and Replacement Procedure
ATTENTION: Avoid touching the glass portion of the lamp(s)
with bare fingers. Use gloves or a cloth to handle the lamp(s).
If the glass is touched, use isopropyl alcohol to wipe the glass
surface clean.
1) Disconnect the power supply from the Mini PowerZone.
2) Allow 10 minutes for the lamp(s) to cool.
3) Unlock the cover with the BioZone Key.
4) Open the cover using the BioZone Key to separate the cover from the
base.
5) Unplug the lamp connector(s) from the lamp(s). (See Figure A.)
6) Remove the lamp(s) from the lamp clips.
7) Wipe the lamp(s) with alcohol to clean the glass surface.
8) Place the cleaned lamp or new lamp into the lamp clips.
9) Connect the lamp connector observing the correct orientation of the
pins.
10) Ensure that the lamp connector wires do not interfere with the cover
closing.
11) Re-install the cover and press firmly on the top near the lock to
ensure it
is completely closed.
12) Close the Mini PowerZone with the BioZone Key to lock the unit.
Dispose of the lamp(s) according to local hazardous
waste disposal laws. The lamp(s) are disposed of at the
same facilities as household fluorescent bulbs or CFL
bulbs. The lamp contains mercury.
Activate Security Mode
Press the BioZone Security Key into the lower
pin hole and hold for 10 seconds. The display
shows “SECur” when security mode is activated.
Thedisplayshows“S____”whentheMini
PowerZone II timer is locked.
Press the BioZone Security Key into the pin hole below
the ON/OFF button for 1-second to unlock the timer.
The timer relocks automatically within 20 seconds.
Press the BioZone Security Key into the pin hole below
the ON/OFF button for 10 second to deactivate
Security Mode. The timer displays “oPEn” when the
Security Mode is deactivated.
The Mini PowerZone resists tampering while in Security Mode. In Security
Mode, the timer and on/off buttons are not available to unauthorized individuals.
