INSTRUCTION MANUAL
BIRD TS 2650B 2D is a banknote-counting machine
which track width and thickness of the banknotes.
BIRD TS 2650B 3D is a banknote-counting machine
which track length, width and thickness of the banknotes.
Machines have a UV sensor to monitor the quality of the
paper.
Machines have two additional modes:
- Counting US$ by testing the presence of magnetic
ink across the whole area of banknotes;
- Counting Euro banknotes by testing (reading) the
face value recorded in the security thread of the
banknotes.
Ma hines give 100% guarantee of authenti ity of
euro banknotes.
Attention!!!
1. When pla ing banknotes follow the pi ture on the
feeder of the ma hine.
2. To have no problems with the ma hine, pla e
banknotes for ounting in the feeder only when it is
empty!

USAGE
1. Turning on the ma hine - after passing the initial test
and indication the type of machine - 2D or 3D model, the
following picture appears on the screen:
____________________________
UV BATCH 0 p s
0 p s
____________________________
This means that the machine is in free counting mode. It
will stop for every 100 banknotes counted. It tracks the width
of the banknotes; with the UV sensor it monitors the quality
of the paper.
Banknotes counted should be taken from the holder. The
machine will continue to count next banknotes, which are
placed in the feeder and so on.
With "+" and "-" keys it is possible to set a batch counting
mode, different from 100. By pressing the "+" key the little
digital indicator display number 20, 40, 0, 60, 80 or 100.
Similarly, by pressing the "-" key each of these numbers
can be reduced so as to obtain the number you want to
batch banknotes.
For example: To make a batch of 47 banknotes, press
the "+" key twice and three times the "-" key. Little digital
indicator will display the number 47.
Once banknote-counting machine is started, it will stop
for every 47 banknotes counted.

BATCH / TOTAL key reset the amount set for bat h.
With UV key it is possible to turn off the ontrol,
whi h tra ks the quality of the banknotes paper.
When the UV is on, and machine suspects a counterfeit
banknote it stops with periodically flashing indication; the
display shows the number of the last banknotes, which must
be removed and separated away. By pressing the RESET
key counting may continue; removed banknotes are not
counted.
Separated 'counterfeit' banknotes must be inspected one
by one to prove their authenticity.
2. Counting other than Euro and U.S. Dollars
urren ies of different denominations by showing total
sum of ounted banknotes (only in 3D model).
Press the BATCH / TOTAL key - switching to "Total"
mode.
On the screen appears the following picture:

In this case, in the feeder can be placed banknotes
/other than Euro and USD/ of different denominations. The
machine will count them, giving a total sum of all counted
banknotes.
If during the counting machine stops and the indication is
flashing periodically remove the number of banknotes
displayed and continue counting by pressing "RESET" key.

3. Counting and testing authenti ity of Euro
banknotes.
Press the MG key. On the screen appears the following

____________________________
While counting banknotes the machine performs testing
for presence of nominal record of the note in its security
thread.
If the machine stops and the indication is flashing
periodically remove the number of banknotes displayed on
the screen. Press RESET and continue counting. Once
counting is complete, place back the removed banknotes
and start counting again. Although initially the machine is
stopped with a resolution that they are counterfeit, upon re-
counting they can be verified that are authentic.
This is because for counting and testing banknotes with
reading the face value recorded in the security thread,
banknote must have very good compression to the magnetic
head. If any of the banknotes conduction through the rollers
was not good, an indication for error can appear, i.e. nominal
record could not be read. It is therefore necessary to recount
the removed banknotes.

giving a total sum of all counted banknotes.
If while counting, the machine stops (like above) and the
indicator flashes periodically, take the number of banknotes
indicated on the display and continue counting by pressing

which is what we wanted. Now the machine will work
with Euro banknotes of the same denomination, will make

every 0 banknotes. If you want this to repeat every time you
start the machine, you must do the following: Press the
RESET button and hold it until the display screen becomes
white (not seen any characters). Release the button RESET.
The image appears again. Turn off the machine. Now the
initial state of the machine will be the combination of what

and indi ate the type of the error:
ErF - x - an indication for counterfeit banknotes. x is a
number indicating how many banknotes you need to remove
and continue counting by pressing RESET;
Erd - x - an indication for registered difference in the
dimensions of banknotes. x is a number indicating how
many banknotes you need to remove and continue counting
by pressing RESET.
In both ases the results of the su essful ounted
banknotes is save.
7.2. Counting stops with onstant light error:
- Doubl (error double) – two or more banknotes were
passed with greater width at the same time.
Remove any banknotes from the holder. Place them
back for counting in the feeder when it is empty.
- Err h (Error chain) - an indication that banknotes are
passing very close to each other and their validation is

impossible. Take the banknotes from the holder and reinsert
them to count in the feeder after it has been emptied;
- Errto (Error timeout) - message that the machine
cannot work; there may be blockage of banknotes. Turn off

MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATION!!!
Answer to a question from the pra ti e:
If you are in counting mode and:
1. Counting and testing authenti ity of Euro
banknotes or
2. Counting Euro banknotes of different
denominations to show total sum of ounted banknotes
and the machine stops, indicating the presence of
"counterfeit" banknotes, remove the number of banknotes
displayed and continue counting by pressing "RESET", as
described above. Once the counting is done, place the
removed banknotes one by one to pass through the machine
rollers. This is necessary because some banknotes are in a
bad look (more wrinkled in the area of the thread) and
because of the dynamic system of counting (many
banknotes at high speed must pass through the magnetic
head) is not performed good reading of the nominal value of
these banknotes and the machine indicates an error.
