1.4 Description of SFP optical ports
In he Hyperion-301 version por s marked wi h numbers 9 and 10 suppor SFP modules wi h
speed 100M/1000M/2.5Gbps, and por s marked wi h numbers 7 and 8 suppor SFP modules wi h
speed 100M/1Gbps, which are also combo por s wi h wo RJ45 elec ric por s.
In he Hyperion-302 version, he por s marked wi h numbers 3 and 4 suppor SFP modules wi h
he speed of 100M / 1000M / 2.5Gbps, and he por s marked wi h numbers 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 suppor
SFP modules wi h he speed of 100M / 1Gbps.

2 POWER SUPPLY
–Two power inpu s - redundan

and 60V/ 180mA

3 POE POWER SUPPLY (OPTION)

–The power available on each RJ45 por shall no exceed 30W.
–For 55VDC power, he maximum o al PoE power is 240W
4 FIRST START-UP
Af er connec ing power supply wi h appropria e parame ers o he inpu s, he PWR LEDs should
ligh up green in he beginning. If only one of he power supply inpu s is used, only one PWR diode
corresponding o his inpu will ligh up. The o her LEDs indica e ha he device is s ar ing up and
is working properly. The device can be managed via any E herne por or USB in erface via an RS-
232 console.

6 MANA EMENT
Managemen of he device applies HTTP and SNMP pro ocols, and i is possible hrough any
E herne por of he device. Addi ionally, access o some of he device's parame ers is available
hrough SSH or console USB. Drivers console CLI accessible via he USB por loca ed on he CD
included wi h he device.
Note!!!: In the indicated models of switches, the firmware update from a version older than:
HYPERION-105 – v120
HYPERION-300 – v120
HYPERION-303 – v120
HYPERION-200 – v308
HYPERION-400 – v308
HYPERION-500 – v308
This will remove passwords for users existing in the configuration (including the "admin"
user).
After the upgrade, the password for each user will be blank the first time they attempt to log
in to management via WWW or CLI.
In case of the firmware is downgraded to a version lower than the one indicated above, the
users will be completely removed and a default user "admin" will be created with no
password – empty.
7 EMER ENCY RESTORIN ACCESS TO THE DEVICE
There is a mechanism for genera ing a emporary password o access via www or elne or CLI.
If you en er he password incorrec ly via elne or CLI 5 imes or by en ering he %bi s ream% com-
mand in he password field, a emporary code will be genera ed. The code should be sen o Bi -
S ream suppor available from 8:00 o 16:00 a 817438643 ex . 28 or by e-mail: suppor @bi -
s ream.pl o receive a emporary 6-hour password o access your device.
If you do no have access o he device managemen (wrongly en ered vlan parame ers, e c.),
you can res ore he defaul configura ion wi h he "DEF" bu on. Holding down he "DEF" bu on for
5 seconds will dele e he configura ion wi hou losing he IP address, while holding down he bu on
for more han 10 seconds will res ore he configura ion o fac ory se ings.
8 CONFORMITY TO STANDARDS AND RECOMMNEDATIONS
BITSTREAM devices were designed pursuan o obliga ory s andards and recommenda ions
in respec of he range of da a ransmission, elec romagne ic compa ibili y and service safe y.
8.1 Electromagnetic compatibility
The device was designed pursuan o he s andard EN 55022, EN-55024. BITSTREAM devices
are designa ed o func ioning in closed premises.
Notice: This de ice is a class A de ice. In the residential en ironment may cause radio frequency in -
terference. In such cases, you can require the user to take appropriate measures.
8.2 Safety
In respec o safe y of service, BITSTREAM devices were designed and es ed for opera ion
safe y along wi h he EN 60950 s andard.
Configura ion and ins alla ion of he device should be execu ed by au horised persons familiar
wi h he service manual. The producer shall no be responsible for any occurrence ha could resul
from usage and ins alla ion ha migh no conform o his manual.
8.3 Data transmission
