Introduction
The SE-USB1-EP is an in-wall solution to
extend the existing PoE network in the
home or oce. The product is powered
by a single PoE+ input and supports
one PoE output port for connecting
PoE-powered devices such as a wireless
AP or IP camera (PD device) and one
Data Ethernet port for a Gigabit Ethernet
data connection. In addition, the device
has one USB type A socket which can
charge smartphones, tablets or other USB
powered devices.

Front panel
The front panel consists of one PoE out
port, one data port, and one USB port.

auto-connect mode to PD device.

with auto-negotiation and auto

Provides maximum 5V/2A output
for power only.
LED indicators
Feature Description
LINK
LED
Blinking: Valid port connection
and data is transmitting/receiving.
O: Port disconnected.
1G LED Steady: Connection speed is
1000 Mbps.
O: Connection speed is
10/100 Mbps.
Note: The unlabeled LED on the PoE Out port
is unused.
Rear panel
One Ethernet port gets power from the
PoE switch and works as an uplink port. It
should be connected to 802.3at PSE port
for getting 30W power.
Port descriptions
Feature Description
PoE+ in The 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet
port supports auto-negotiation
and auto MDI-X. Can also receive
power from Ethernet cable (high-
power support).
Note: A Powered Device (PD) is able to
receive power through an Ethernet cable
connected to its PD port.

Installation
Installing into the wall
1. INSTALL ELECTRICAL BOX TO WALL
2. INSERT THE ETHERNET CABLE CONNECTOR
TO THE PD PORT PROPERLY
3. INSTALL SE-USB1-EP TO ELECTRICAL BOX
4. INSTALL WALL COVER TO SE-USB1-EP4. INSTALL WALL COVER TO SE-USB1-EP
3. INSTALL SE-USB1-EP TO ELECTRICAL BOX
1 Remove the wall plate.
2 Insert the Ethernet cable connector
into the PD port.
3 Secure the switch to the box with the
supplied screws.
4 Mount the wall plate (wall plate not
included).
Connecting network cables
1 Crossover or straight-through cable:
All the ports on the switch support
Auto-MDI/MDI-X functionality. Both
straight-through or crossover cables
can be used to connect the switch
with PCs as well as other devices like
switches, hubs or router.
2 Category 5, 5e, or 6 UTP/STP cable:
To make a valid connection and
obtain the optimal performance,
appropriate cables corresponding
to dierent transmitting/receiving
speed is required. To choose a
suitable cable, please refer to the
following table.
