1.0Introduction:
BGD151 RotaryViscometerisused inmeasuringviscosityfriction and absoluteviscosityofliquid.It
hasfourrotorsofNO.1-4and can bechosentouseinaccordwithviscosityofthe liquidtobedetermined
rotation speed.It iswidelyused todetermined viscosityofvariousliquidsuchasoil,paint, plastic,food
medicine, adhesive, etc. It iswidelyapplied inthe fieldofpetrochemistry, medicine, food, light industry,
textileindustry,scientificresearch, etc.

3.0Test Environment:
3.1 When installingthe viscometer,locatethe instrumenton asturdybenchapartfromenvironmentof
strongdraught ﹑strongmagneticfield ﹑strong electricalfield ﹑strongelectromagneticpulse
disturbance.
3.2 Besurethatitissaferforan operator,attachthepowercordtotheappropriatepowersource
(groundedoutlet).
3.3 TestingEnvironment: 23℃±2℃, relativehumidityshouldnot beover75%.
3.4 Sampletemperatureshouldbe23℃±2℃.
4.0OperationandUsage:
4.1 Takethe instrument out fromthe box, put it on theworktable.
4.2 Adjustthetwobolts(inthe bottombaseofmachine)till the machine islevel(the bubbleisinthe
middleofthe circle)
4.3 Attachthepowercordtothe appropriatepowersource
4.4 Pourthesampleintothecontainerandstirituniformly(the diameterofcontainerisnotless than
70mm).Controlthe temperatureofthe liquidaccurately.
4.5 Install theprotection shelfon the viscometer(revolvetowardsrightisinstallingand towardsleft is
unloading)
4.6 Install the selected spindleon the connectingscrew(revolvetowardsleft istighten and towardsright
isloose)
4.7 Whirlthe rise-fall knoband makethe machine fall slowly. The spindleisimmerged till itssignislevel
withthe surfaceoftested liquid.
4.8 Turnonthe viscometerpowerswitchwhichison the side ofviscometerand the spindlebeginto
whirlinthe liquid.After20-30 secondsorthe fingerissteady,readthevalue offinger.
Note:Ifthespeedofwhirlistoo fasttoreadthevalueoffinger,you canputdownthe
controlling poleand turnoffthepowerswitch.
4.9 It isbetterthat containingthe value offingerisbetween 30to90.
5.0SelectionofSpindlesandspeed:
Theprincipleofviscositymeasurementnotonlytakesintoconsideration of theviscometerrotation,
but alsodependson the correct spindletobeused. The tableasbelowgivethe correct useofspindleto
the viscositymeasurement.

First, operatorshouldestimateapproximatelythe value ofviscosityoftheirtestedsampleand select
appropriatespindleand rotationspeed.

6.0Cautions:
6.1 The Machine mustbeused withprescriptivefrequencyandvoltage.Otherwisethe testingresult will
beincorrect.
6.2 Changethe rotationspeed when themachine isworking.
6.3 Ifyou haveinstalled the spindle, donot turnon the machine when no anyfluid.
6.4 Donotdisassemblythe machine adarboretumand donotaddanylubeonthegearwheelof
machine.
6.5 Install theyellowprotectingsheathwhen conveyingthe machine.
6.6 Clean anddrythe spindlecarefullyaftereverytesting
