Intended use
Your BLACK+DECKER stick blender has been designed for
blending, mixing, beating, whipping, whisking and chopping
food and beverage ingredients depending on the product. Do
not use this appliance for any other purpose. This product is
intended for household use only.
Safety instructions
Warning! When using mains-powered appliances,
basic safety precautions, including the following, should
always be followed to reduce the risk of re, electric
shock, personal injury and material damage.
uRead all of this manual carefully before using the
appliance.
uThe intended use is described in this manual. The use of
any accessory or attachment or the performance of any
operation with this appliance other than those recomended
in this instruction manual may present a risk of personal
injury.

Using your appliance
uMake sure that the appliance is switched off before
connecting to or disconnecting from the power supply.

uSwitch off and wait for the motor to stop running before
disconnecting the appliance from the power supply.

disconnect the appliance from the power supply rst.
uIf the power supply cord is damaged during use,
disconnect the appliance from the power supply
immediately. Do not touch the power supply cord before
disconnecting from the power supply.

After use

Electrical safety
Your charger has been designed for a specic voltage. Always
check that the mains voltage corresponds to the voltage on
the rating plate. Never attempt to replace the charger unit with
a regular mains plug.
#This tool is double insulated in accordance
with EN 60335; therefore no earth wire is
required. Always check that the power supply
corresponds to the voltage on the rating
plate.
!To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not
immerse the cord, plug or motor unit in water
or other liquid.

uRemove all packaging from the appliance.
u Clean the appliance before rst use.
Assembly
Warning! Before assembly, make sure that the appliance is
switched off and unplugged.
Fitting and removing an attachment (Fig.1)
uUse the blending attachment (3 or 4) for blending liquids
or mashing solids.
uUse the whisk attachment (6) for mixing, beating,
whipping and creaming liquids.
uUse the chopping blade (11), Measuring jug (9), blade
mounting base (12) and blade housing (13) for chopping
vegetables etc.
uUse the ice chopping blade (15), Measuring jug (9), Ice
chopping bowl (12) and blade housing (13) for chopping
ice etc.
Use
Blending
uPlace the ingredients into a measuring jug or a suitable
container.
uUsing a stabbing motion, push the blades (3 or 4) into
the ingredients until the correct consistency is reached.
u When blending liquids or uid ingredients, use short
pulses to prevent spillages.
uKeeping the blades (3 or 4) submerged will help to
prevent spillages. Take extra care when blending hot
ingredients.
Mixing
uPlace the ingredients into a measuring jug or a suitable
container.
uMix the ingredients until the correct consistency is
reached.
uKeeping the beater submerged will help to prevent
spillages. Take extra care when mixing hot ingredients.
Chopping (Fig. 2)
Warning! The measuring jug (9) must be used with the
chopping blade (11). Do not use the chopping blade with
any other bowl. Do not use the chopping Blade without the
supplied measuring bowl tted.
uPlace blade mounting base (12) in the measuring bowl (8)
Then place the chopping (11) onto blade mounting base
(12).

uPlace the ingredients in the measuring bowl (9).
uFit the motor housing (2) into the gearbox (13) and rotate
anti-clockwise to lock in position. Place the motor &
gearbox into the measuring jug (9) making sure the blade
ts into the recess in the gearbox
uChop the ingredients until the correct consistency is
reached.
uOnce chopping is completed, unplug the appliance & allow
the blades to stop moving before removing any parts or
approaching parts that move in use.
Ice Chopping (Fig. 2)
Warning! The measuring jug (9) and the ice chopping bowl
(15) must be used with the ice chopping blade (10). Do not
use the ice chopping blade with any other bowl. Do not use
the ice chopping Blade without the supplied ice chopping
bowl tted.
uPlace the ice chopping blade (10) in the ice chopping
bowl (15). Place the ice chopping bowl into the measuring
jug as shown in (Fig.2) to catch the ice residue.
uPlace the ice in the ice chopping bowl (15).
uFit the gearbox (13) and rotate it in an anti-clockwise
direction to lock it in place.
uFit the motor housing (2) into the gearbox (13) and rotate
anti-clockwise to lock in position. Place the motor &
gearbox into the measuring jug (9) making sure the blade
ts into the recess in the gearbox
uChop the ingredients until the correct consistency is
reached.
uOnce chopping is completed, unplug the appliance & allow
the blades to stop moving.

Switching on and off
uTo switch the appliance on, press the speed control
switch (1).
uKeep the switch pressed for continuous operation.
uTo switch off, release the switch.
Warning! Do not operate the appliance continuously for
more than 30 seconds. After operating the appliance
continuously for 30 seconds, let it cool down for at least
1 minute before operating it again. This can be repeated up
to ten times then the appliance must be left to cool at room
temperature.
Warning! After switching off always allow the motor to stop
before approaching the blade.
Cleaning and maintenance
Warning! Switch the appliance off and unplug it before
cleaning or maintenance. Be careful when cleaning the
blades; they are sharp.
Warning! Do not immerse the appliance, the cord set or the
plug in water or any other liquid.
uWash the attachments in warm soapy water and
dry well.
uWipe the motor unit (2) with a damp cloth. Do not use
any abrasive or solvent-based cleaner.
Always clean the appliance immediately after use. Do not let
food dry on to the blades as this will make cleaning difcult.

Utilizzo
Blending

versamenti. Prestare la massima attenzione quando si
mescolano ingredienti caldi.
Tagliare a pezzetti (Fig. 2)
Attenzione! Il misurino (9) deve essere utilizzato con la
lama spezzettamento (11). Non usare la lama spezzettamento
con qualsiasi altra ciotola. Non utilizzare la lama
spezzettamento senza la ciotola di misura forniti già montati.
uBase (12) nella ciotola di misura (8) Montaggio Luogo

nella ciotola spezzettamento ghiaccio (15). Mettere la
ciotola spezzettamento ghiaccio nel bicchiere di misurazi-
one come mostrato in (Fig.2) per prendere il residuo di
ghiaccio.
uPosizionare il ghiaccio nella ciotola spezzettamento del
ghiaccio (15).
uMontare la scatola del cambio (13) e ruotare in senso
antiorario per bloccarlo.
uMontare la carcassa del motore (2) nel cambio (13) e
ruotare in senso antiorario per bloccare in posizione.
Posizionare il motore e cambio nella caraffa di misura (9)
assicurandosi che la lama si inserisce nella cavità nella
scatola del cambio.
u Tagliare gli ingredienti no a raggiungere la consistenza
corretta.
uUna volta spezzettamento è completata, scollegare
l'apparecchio e permettono alle lame si fermano.

Accensione e spegnimento.
uPer accendere l’elettrodomestico, premere il selettore
della velocità (1).
uTenere premuto il selettore per un funzionamento
continuato.
uPer spegnerlo, rilasciare il selettore.
Attenzione! Non far funzionare l’elettrodomestico
continuamente per più di 30 secondi. Dopo averlo fatto
funzionare continuamente per 30 secondi, lasciare che si
raffreddi per almeno 1 minuto prima di farlo funzionare di
nuovo. Questo ciclo può essere ripetuto no a dieci volte,
dopo di che l’elettrodomestico deve essere lasciato
raffreddare a temperatura ambiente.
