OVERVIEW
With the 2-Channel VGA Booster, you can view the output
of a VGA adapter on one or two monitors simultaneously. You
can place each monitor up to 700 ft. (213.4 m) away from the
booster, depending on the VGA operating mode.
The booster works with color VGA, monochrome VGA,
8514/A VGA, or XGA monitors. Simply install a jumper for
the type of monitor you are using.
Two front-panel knobs let you choose any cable length
up to 700 ft. (213.4 m) for each output. Since the outputs
operate independently, the cable lengths can be different
for each output. So placing your monitors exactly where
you need them is a breeze!
The booster’s advanced circuitry ensures that your VGA
signal will be free of distortion, giving you crisp, clear,
images on your monitors.
A 6-foot (1.8-m) DB15HD male-to-male input cable is
included with the booster to connect your PC’s CPU to the
booster.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
• In a manufacturing environment, protect your CPU from
dust and damage by keeping it in a nearby office. Meanwhile,
your monitors remain on the plant floor where you can
view them when you need them.
• Add VGA Video Splitters to view up to 20 monitors at once.
For example, in a large retail store, you might want to keep
tabs on inventory as it changes rapidly during a store sale.

Custom Lengths EHN101
The 2-Channel VGA Booster is easy to configure for your
application. It has two front-panel knobs (one for each inde-
pendent output) for configuring cable length, and jumper
settings for configuring monitor type.
• Each output has a single front-panel knob that adjusts to
the length of cable you plan to use. For reliable and easy
setup, all equalization parameters are set automatically, so
you don’t need to internally adjust controls. Knob positions
that correspond to specific cable lengths are shown in the
Specifications section on this page.
• As shipped, the booster is internally jumpered to support a
standard color VGA monitor. You can change these jumpers
to support different monitor types—including color VGA,
monochrome VGA, 8514/A VGA, and XGA. Jumper settings
for each monitor type are shown in the Specifications
section on this page.
