QUICK START GUIDE

STEP 1 - Connect Local to Remote via fiber cable
BEFORE YOU GET STARTED
Make sure that all the drivers required for your
USB devices are installed.
CONNECT LOCAL TO REMOTE
Place the units where desired, and connect
the fiber extension link cabling into the
Link ports (RJ-45) of the Local and
Remote Extenders.

FOR IC404A-R2: MULTIMODE FIBER CABLE (NOT INCLUDED), MAXIMUM LENGTH: 1600 FEET (500 M)
OR
FOR IC406A-R2: SINGLE-MODE FIBER CABLE (NOT INCLUDED), MAXIMUM LENGTH: 6.2 MI. (10 KM)
REMOTE EXTENDER,

CHOOSING FIBER CABLE
For IC404A-R2, you must use multimode
fiber optic cable, up to a maximum length
of 1600 feet (500 m) between the local and
remote extenders.
For IC406A-R2, you must use single-mode
fiber optic cable, up to a maximum length
of 6.2 miles (10 km) between the local and
remote extenders.

STEP 2 - Connect the Local Extender to your computer

CONNECT LOCAL TO COMPUTER
Connect the Local Extender into your
computer using the included USB 2.0 cable.

STEP 3 - Connect the Remote Extender to AC power

CONNECT REMOTE TO POWER
Connect the Remote Extender to the AC
adapter and plug it into a power source.

STEP 4 - Attach the USB device(s) to Remote Extender

Remote Extender.
