INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
SUPERLIGHT TENTS
Combine the ultimate in lightweight, technically-advanced materials in
tent construction with the unmatched, time-tested single-wall tent designs
of Bibler and you get the Superlight Tents by Black Diamond. Built for the
unique demands of the alpinist/summit mountaineer, climber and ultralight
backpacker, these tents are ideal for anyone looking for an unparalleled
combination of strength, weather-protection and weight savings.
We offer canopies made of EPIC by Nextec®fabric, ideal because of its
unique combination of extreme breathability and high water-resistance. Our
floors are made of silicone-impregnated 30d Ripstop nylon, which is twice
as strong as regular PU-coated nylon at two-thirds the weight. Lastly, in
order to shave off even more weight, we offer DAC Featherlite poles with the
Superlight series, improving overall shelter strength-to-weight ratios.
SKYLIGHT
This spacious three-person shelter
features a three-pole design with an
attached vestibule. With a hybrid EPIC/
mesh construction and weighing just over
four pounds, the Skylight is the lightest
tent of its size on the market. The rear
two-thirds of the tent is constructed from
EPIC fabric for excellent breathability and
high water-resistance while the front third
of the tent consists of mesh netting and
EPIC. The vestibule and front third of the canopy can be rolled back in nice
weather for net protected views or rolled down in nasty conditions creating
dependable protection and a spacious vestibule.

GUIDING LIGHT
As our largest and roomiest
Superlight tent, the Guiding Light is
a stable four-person tent constructed
from EPIC fabric for dependable
protection and excellent breathability.
This luxuriously lightweight base-
camp style tent has two full-zip
EPIC and mesh doors at the ends.
Awnings over doors allow for plenty
of ventilation without exposing the interior. Optional vestibules can be
attached at either end for added spaciousness.

LIGHTHOUSE
Built on the roomy Bibler Eldorado footprint,
the Lighthouse boasts enough floor space to
sleep two climbers quite comfortably. The pole
design (in fact borrowed from the popular Bibler
Ahwahnee) incorporates a full side door for an
open-air feeling. The Lighthouse’s roof tops out at
109 cm (43 in), providing ample headroom, while
a full netting door on the interior of the canopy
allows air to circulate on nice weather nights.
An EPIC fabric canopy is paired with a highly
technical SilNylon floor to produce a durable
abode for any backcountry adventure.

the Firstlight is Black Diamond’s
premier Superlight shelter. Ideal
for the minimalist alpine or weight-
conscious climber, the Firstlight
features an innovative door design
that peels open to the floor, allowing easy exit and entry, while a netting
door on the interior of the canopy provides ventilation and views on mild
nights. The Firstlight is also equipped with a small back screen window for

HILIGHT
Three pole intersections in the frame design make
