Fitting Guide
The Panther Spinal Brace is an orthopedic
back brace that provides abdominal
compression, while restricting motion
and encouraging spinal alignment. Its
design is simple and elegant. Its simplicity
comes from the way you can adjust
the size to comfortable t your body. Its
elegance comes from the use of space
age materials like Kydex, a lightweight
and durable plastic found in aircraft
About the Panther
manufacturing, and the mesh fabric
that surrounds you providing a cool,
comfortable experience. Adjusting the
Panther to t your body is simple. Just open
the Velcro Gator Clips, add or remove the
Segments, adjust the handle length and,
that’s it. After a few minutes, you’ll have
your brace comfortably snugged around
you.

Part Key Description Comments
1 Right Main Belt In any Build, the Main Belts are always the end
components. The right Main Belt‘s Velcro hook
always attaches to the top of the left Main Belt.
2 Left Main Belt
3 Right 5” Segment Although it is 8” long, the 5” Segment is so named
because it adds 5” circumference to the Panther
brace. Therefore, a pair of them adds 10”.
4 Left 5” Segment
5 Right 10” Segment Although it is 13” long, the 10” Segment is so
named because it adds 10” circumference to the
Panther brace. Therefore, a pair of them adds 20”.
6 Left 10” Segment
7 Protective Pouch The Protective Pouch protects the Power Unit and
retains the posterior plastic plate.
8 Power Unit
The Power Unit consists of string, pulleys, and
pull handles and offers dual 5X mechanical
advantage.
9 Velcro Gator Clip There are Velcro Gator Clips on each 5” segment,
10” segment, and on both ends of the Power Unit.

Note: The Panther brace is pre-assembled in Build B.
Find your size and build in the chart. Women, use pants hip size; Men, use pants waist size.
1: Open Protective
Pouch ap
2: Place pull handle on
right side of Power unit.
Open Gator Clip.
3: Insert Main Belt or Segment into Gator
Clip, close Gator Clip, pressing rmly.
Repeat as needed until complete.
4: Repeat 2 & 3 on left side
5: Close Protective Pouch
To create Panther Build, remove / attach belt segments
5. With the brace still at and the pull handles (10) on edges of power unit (8), extend belt fully.

Congratulations! You have t the Panther brace.
Refer to the Panther Instructions for Use pamphlet for tips on wearing and caring for your brace.
Notes:
• For Build #1, if you need to set the circumference to less than 30”, you may do so in one of two
ways: by cutting up to 2 ½” off the back of the Main Belt ends and reinserting them in the Gator
Clips or by overlapping the Main Belt ends up to an additional 5” in front.
• For Build #4, if you need to extend it past 66”, attach more Segments. These can be obtained
from Blue Diamond Orthopedic.
• Right and Left Segments are normally used symmetrically, but you may add only one, if desired.
• Right and left string lengths are normally adjusted symmetrically, but it is OK to make them
different lengths. It’s recommended that the left pull handle crosses onto the Right Main Belt end.
Wrap Panther
around waist.
Center the back
and match it’s
curve to yours.

Lay Right Main Belt
end on top of Left
Main Belt end.
Pull right and left
pull handles tight
and tack them
down in the front.

Hint: It’s easiest to leave the string in the clip and use your nger to pull the string up to wind or unwind it. If you wish, you
may unclip the string, but it takes strong ngers to reclip!
