Itisassumed thatyou havethe Husky-15 &16Khitchinstalled properly.Ifnot, haveyour
hitchinstalled byacertifiedtechnician.

SPECIALDANGERMESSAGE
The actofuncoupling yourfifthwheeltrailerfromyourtowvehicleis,singularly,the mostdangerousacttobe
performed when RVing.Manyaccidentshaveoccurred wherebroken bones,severed limbsand even deathby
crushing haveresultedfrominadvertentlydropping the fifthwheeltrailerwhen aperson hasplacedpartofhis/
herbodybetween the towvehicleand the frameofthe fifthwheeltrailer.All oftheseaccidentsarecompletely
avoidablebyfollowingafewsimplerules,evenwithoutinstallingBedSaverTM onyourhitch.
·Chock yourtrailerwheels.
·Extend yourfrontjacks until you see no weightison the hitch.
·NEVERplaceanypartofyourbodybetween the trailerframeand towvehicleorhitch.
·NEVERallowanyhelperorobservertoplaceanybodypartbetween the trailerframeand tow
vehicleorhitch.
BedSaverTM preventsdamage toyourtowvehiclewhen an inadvertentreleasehappens.BedSaverTM mayNOT
preventinjurytosomeone violating thesimplerulesabove.

Installation
RequirementsforplacementofBedSaverTM SidePlates
The BedSaverTM SidePlatesaremountedwiththebeveledcornerslocated onthe bottomand towardthe rearofthetow
vehicle.
Note:You will find alabelon eachSide Plate.The labelsshouldbe placed tothe outside ofthe hitch.
Step1
Referring to Figure 1&2 belowand using twoofthe boltsand Nyloklock nutssupplied withthe kit, position the LeftSide
Plateontolefthitchverticalsupportsuchthatthe top holepairsofthe Side Platealign withthe top pairofboltholesinthe
lefthitchverticalsupport. Insertthe twoboltswiththe shanksinwardand install twonuts.Do nottighten the nuts.

Inspectyourwork and check tobe certainall nutsand boltshavebeen properlytightened.Asample
installation isshownin Figures 5&6.
Step3
Referto Figure 3, belowfordetails.Using the remaining fourboltsand Nyloknutssupplied withthe kit, attachthe Cross
tube Weldmenttothe leftand rightSide Plates.Insertthe boltswiththe headson the outside and fingertighten the nuts.
Step4
Inspectthe Side Platesand Cross tube forproperplacement, referto Figure 4.When satisfied thatitappearscorrect,
tighten the eightnutssecuring the Side Platestothe hitchframe,then tighten the fournutsand boltsattaching the Cross
tube tothe Side Plates.Torqueall nutsto65 foot-pounds.
NOTE:When tightening the Side Platestothe hitchframesides,itmaybe necessary tolift the Side Plateforproper
alignmentandleveling.
