Bluetake Technology BT400 G3 User manual

Hardware Requirement:
1. A Bluetooth equipped computer
(It can be a Bluetooth embedded computer or a Bluetooth USB
adapter installed computer. BLUETAKE Bluetooth USB Adapter is
highly recommended for this requirement.)
2. A BLUETAKE Bluetooth headset or headphone
(BLUETAKE BT400 G3 Bluetooth Headset, BT400 G5 Bluetooth
Headset and i-PHONO BT420 Bluetooth Hi-Fi Sports Headphone
are highly recommended for this requirement.)
Software Requirement:
1. Windows XP/2000 operating system
(Windows XP is recommended for this requirement)
2. Skype Internet Telephony Software or MSN
Messenger
(Please make sure the audio conversation function of MSN
Messenger can be used with your existing Internet service.)
3. WIDCOMM BTW Bluetooth Software v1.3.2.7 or later
versions
(Please refer the BLUETAKE offered online instruction to install
WIDCOMM BTW Bluetooth Software in Windows XP SP2 operating
system)
Notice:
A. Please make sure your Skype / MSN Messenger account and
Internet access service are working
B. Please make sure your computer’s Bluetooth functions are
available to use.
C. Please make sure your Bluetooth headset (headphone) is fully
charged to keep the long talking.
1. Bluetooth Configuration
<1-1> Make sure your Bluetooth headset (headphone) is
in the pairing mode.
BT400 G3
Power off the BT400 G3 Bluetooth Headset and then
press and hold the pairing button until the status LED
indicator twinkles blue and red light.
BT400 G5
Power off the BT400 G5 Bluetooth Headset and then
press and hold the power button until the status LED
indicator twinkles blue and red light.
i-PHONO BT420
Power on the i-PHONO BT420 Bluetooth Hi-Fi Sports
Headphone and then press and hold the pairing button
until the status LED indicator twinkles blue and red
light.
<1-2> Pair the Bluetooth headset (headphone) with the
computer.
a. Double-click “My Bluetooth Places” icon at
Windows desktop.
b. Click “Bluetooth Setup Wizard” at the Bluetooth tasks
menu of “My Bluetooth Places” window.
c. Afterward “Bluetooth Setup” dialogue box will show up.
Select “I know the service I want to use and I want to
find a Bluetooth device that provides that service.”
and then click “Next”.
d. Select “Headset” and then click “Next”.
e. After the computer searched, you can the headset icon
which shows the device name of your Bluetooth
headset (headphone). Select the headset icon and
click then “Next”.

f. Click the “Bluetooth Tray” icon at Windows toolbar
while you see the “Bluetooth PIN Code Required”
pop-up message.
g. Afterward “Bluetooth PIN Code Request” dialogue box
will show up to ask you the PIN code for Bluetooth
pairing. Enter “0000” (4 zeros) in the dialog box and
then click “OK”.
h. After the Bluetooth pairing is completed, you will see
the Bluetooth Setup Wizard Completing Page. Uncheck
“Start the connection” and check “Create a shortcut
and then…”
i. Click “Cancel” to finish the pairing procedure and then
you can see the shortcut icon of your Bluetooth headset
(headphone) is added in “My Bluetooth Places” window.
<1-3> Connect the Bluetooth headset (headphone) and
the computer.
a. Double-click the shortcut icon of your Bluetooth
headset (headphone) in “My Bluetooth Places” window.
b. You will hear the ring tone from the Bluetooth headset
(headphone) while the paired computer is trying to
connect it. Press the talk button of the Bluetooth
headset (headphone) to accept the connection request.
c. After the connection is established, you will see the
shortcut icon is turned into “green”.
2. System Configuration
<2-1> Open “Control Panel” of the Windows system and
then double-click “Sounds and Audio Devices” icon.
<2-1> Make sure that "Bluetooth Audio" is selected for
“Sound Playback” and “Sound Recording” items under the
“Audio” tab in “Sounds and Audio Devices Properties”
window.
Now, the paired and connected Bluetooth headset
(headphone) becomes the computer’s speaker and
microphone.

3. Software Configuration
Sound input/output setting of Skype
a. Open “Skype”and login
by your account.
b. Click “File” and select
“Options” in the drop
down menu.
c. Make sure that
“Bluetooth Audio” is
selected for “Audio In”,
“Audio Out” and
“Ringing” items under
the “Hand/Headsets”
tab in “Option” window,
and then click “Save” to
finish the settings..
d. Now, your BLUETAKE Bluetooth headset
(headphone) is ready to use with Skype.
Thereafter, you only need to follow up this guide from
“1-3”step if you want to operate the Bluetooth headset
(headphone) application.
Sound input/output setting of MSN Messenger
a. Open “MSN Messenger”and login by your account.
b. Click “Tools” and select “Audio/Video Tuning Wizard”
in the drop down menu.
c. Make sure that “Bluetooth Audio” is selected for
“Microphone” and “Speakers” items in “Audio/Video
Tuning Wizard” window and then click “Next” to finish
the settings.
d. Now, your BLUETAKE Bluetooth headset
(headphone) is ready to use with MSN Messenger.
Thereafter, you only need to follow up this guide from
“1-3”step if you want to operate the Bluetooth headset
(headphone) application.
Appendix
Q: How to disconnect the Bluetooth headset (headphone)?
A: Right-click the shortcut icon of your Bluetooth headset
(headphone) in “My Bluetooth Places” window and select
“Disconnect” in the following pop-up menu.
