2. Safety Instructions
2.1 General Safety
BLUETTI products are developed to be safe and reliable. Please read this guide for
important safety information about your device. The guide is intended to help you
be more comfortable and productive while using this device. Failure to follow these
guidelines for proper setup, use, and care for your device may cause damage to this
unit and injury to yourself or others.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS!
• DO NOT expose the unit to fire, liquids, sweat, dirt or other contaminants, as these
may cause the battery to explode or leak flammable liquid or gas.
• DONOT place the uniton an unstable or tilted surface.
• Make sure the place where you are using the unitis well ventilated and spacious.
• DO NOT touch the unit, cord, plug or other electrical components with wet hands.
• Keep the unit away from children and pets.
• DO NOTmodify, attempt to insert foreign objects into the battery, or immerse or
expose it to water or other liquids. Batteries may explode if damaged.
• Battery fluid is corrosive and may be toxic. If a battery leaks, keep the leaked fluid
away from touching your skin, eyes, clothes, or other surfaces. Immediately flush
the affected areas with water, and seek medical help.
• DO NOT ignore those warning indicatorson components or products made
by manufacturers.
• DO NOTdismantle, cut, crush, puncture, or otherwise damage the unit in any way.
• Warning: DO NOT insert foreign objects into the fan, vents, ports, or other
openings.
• NEVER use a damaged batteryor component. Improper use or misuse of
damaged batteries or components may cause damage to your device or injury to
yourself as a result of battery fluid leakage, fire, overheating, or explosion.
• Use approved battery and accessories ONLY. Improper use, or use of unapproved
or incompatible batteries or components may result in a risk of fire, explosion, or
other hazards, and may invalidate the official regional or regulatory approvals and
your product warranty of this unit.
• Turn OFF the unit IMMEDIATELY in case of malfunction, and contact BLUETTI
support if this manual cannot explain the malfunction adequately to you.

• Use ONLY a dry powder fire extinguisher in case of fire.
• DO NOT attempt to modify, replace the internal battery or any other components
of the unit by anyone other than qualified personnel. If necessary, take it to an
authorized service center as incorrect reassembly may result in a risk of fire or
electric shock.
• DO NOT power ON the system if it has not been properly installed or
commissioned.
2.2 Maintenance
• When not using the unit for extended periods of time, power it off and remove all
electrical connections.
• Charge the unit to 80% SOC every 3 months for best battery life.
• Dry, non-abrasive cloths to wipe will be perfect. The power station is a versatile tool
for various adventures, simple cleaning would be required from time to time to
keep the unit in a good condition.
• Ensure proper ventilation in use or store and keep away from any combustible
materials or gases.
2.3 Handling and Storage
• Please charge the unit to 50%-70% capacity every time before storing it.
• To preserve the battery health, please discharge and fully charge the unit at least
once every 6 months.
• Use mechanical assistance as needed (e.g. trolleys and adjustable
height workbenches).
• Keep the unit in a dry and cool place.
• DO NOT place the unit on its side or upside down.
• DO NOT stack anything on top of the unit either in storage or in use.
• Avoid exposing the unit to rain or wet environment, and direct sunlight
(320F- 113 0F , 00C-450C ), clean and dry environment is strongly recommended.
• BLUETTI Power Stations are NOT permitted to be carried on board as checked or
carry-on baggage.
• Dispose of the unit and related accessories in accordance with local laws,
regulations and other provisions.

3. EP500Pro INTRODUCTION
3.1 Introduction
The BLUETTI EP500Pro excels with a dual-core controller (ARM controller and DSP
controller), an AC Inverter Module and a DC-to-DC module. The controller can
perfectly manage and control the MPPT module by integrating digital and analog
signals. The AC inverter makes AC reverse fast charging possible with bidirectional
topology.

4. Installation ( for home back up system )
• The installation should be done by a licensed electrician.
• DO NOT place the power station near heat sources. It is prohibited to place the
equipment in an environment with flammable, explosive gas or smoke. It is also
prohibited to operate the equipment in this environment.
• DO NOT operate in wet conditions. If the equipment becomes wet, please let the
unit dry completely before using.
• DO NOT move the unit while operating as vibrations and sudden impacts may
lead to poor connections to the hardware inside.
• Before starting any work, turn off and isolate all electricity to the property at the
main panel.
• Take measures to prevent the electricity from turning back on while working, such
as a safety tag and lockout.
• Test the circuit's voltage before proceeding to verify that the course is off.
• Remove the idle package materials from the site before commissioning, such as
cartons, foam, plastic, cable ties, etc.
• Never touch electrical contacts or wiring without proper protection and safety
gear.
• Seal all the wiring ports with fireproof and water-proof materials to prevent
possible electric shock or other risks.
• Repaint any paint scratches caused during transportation or installation timely,
or it may cause equipment damage and personal injury.
• Keep the unit firmly secured to the ground or other solid objects, such as a wall or
mounting bracket.

4.1 Personnel Requirements
The personnel responsible for the installation and maintenance must first undergo
rigorous training to understand all necessary safety precautions and grasp the
correct method of operation, and can take measures to reduce the danger to
himself or other personnel to be at the lowest limit.
4.2 Anti-static requirements
When installing the sub-panel with the main panel, you must wear an anti-static
gloves or wrist strap which should be appropriately grounded. Do not touch any
bare components directly with your hands.
4.3 Drilling
• Wear goggles and protective gloves at all times.
• Shield and protect the unit during drilling to prevent debris from falling into it and
remove all debris after drilling.
• Drill holes on the unit are forbidden, as this may damage the unit's
electromagnetic shielding performance. The metal shavings may cause short
circuits on the circuit board.
4.4 Installation environment requirements
• DO NOT block the opening vents or dissipation system when the unit is running to
prevent high temperatures and fires.
• The unit should be installed in an area away from liquids. It is forbidden to install
near or below water pipes, air outlets, windows and other locations that are prone
to water or liquids entering into the equipment. Failure may result in short circuit.
• If liquid is found inside the unit, turn it OFF immediately.

6. BLUETTI APP
6.1 Introduction
BLUETTI app allows you to monitor and control the EP500Pro inverter system in the
palm of your hand via Bluetooth or WiFi, with features like In-time Alarm, Error Mes-
sage, Data Collection, Operation Status, Parameter Configuration, and Firmware Up-
grade.
6.2 Download
Scan the QR code below to download the BLUETTI App, or search for "BLUETTI" in
the App Store/Google Play.

6.3 Operation
Note: Please make sure Bluetooth or WiFi is enabled on EP500Pro.

Step 1:
• Search for “BLUETTI” in App Store or Google Play Store to download the BLUETTI
App to remotely control your EP500Pro.
• Tap the "Login" to register your BLUETTI account. Fill in the necessary information
to continue.
• Check your email for verification code from BLUETTI server, and fill in the code to
activate your BLUETTI account.

Step 2:
• Scan the unique QR code on EP500Pro to add the unit to the available device list
in the App, and fill in the password of your 2.4G Wi-Fi network to activate the com
munication function of EP500Pro for data syncing.

• For Bluetooth connection, tap on the homepage and select the SN (Serial
Number) of your device. Find the SN on the unit or from the "Product Info.".
• Tap to customize the working mode and parameters of your EP500Pro on the
Setting page.

• EP500Pro supports Over-the-air (OTA) firmware upgrade via BLUETTI app. Tap
"About Device" on the Settings page and check the firmware version.
Notes:
• Keep your phone no more than 16.4ft/5m away from the unit during
the upgrade.
• You cannot turn on EP500Pro via BLUETTI App.
• If the WiFi connection fails, go to Settings (on your phone)
- scroll down and tap "BLUETTI", then allow the network (iOS).
- tap "App Management" and "BLUETTI", then allow the network (Android).
