carefully before you use your
device for the first time.
Retain these user instructions
for future reference.
HOW TO MAKE HOT COFFEE:
1 Place pot on a dry, flat, non-
slip surface. Hold handle firmly.
If necessary turn the lid counter
clockwise to unlock (1A), then
pull the plunger unit straight up
and out of the pot (1B).
Note: Insure the ilter unit is
properly assembled before use.
2 For each cup (1.25dl or 4oz),
put 1rounded tbsp or 1BODUM®
scoop of coarse ground coee
into the pot. CAUTION: Use only
coarse ground coee. Fine grind
can clog the filter and create high
pressure. Place coee maker on
a heat proof, non-slip surface.
3 Pour hot (not boiling) water
into the pot. Leave a minimum
of 2,5cm/1inch of space at the
top. Stir the brew with a plastic
spoon. CAUTION: Metal spoons
can scratch or chip the beaker
and cause damage.
4 Place the plunger unit on top
of the pot. Turn lid to close o
the pour spout opening (4A). Or
if it has locking lid turn it clock-
wise to gently snap into the lock
(4B). Do not press down.
Let the coee brew for at
least 4min.
5 Hold the pot handle firmly
with the spout turned away from
you, then using just the weight of
your hand, apply slight pressure
on top of the knob to lower the
plunger straight down into the
pot. Lowering the plunger slowly
with minimal pressure produces
best results. If the filter clogs or it
becomes diicult to push down
the plunger you should remove
the plunger from the pot, stir the
brew and then slowly plunge
again. WARNING: Using exces-

sive force can cause scalding

6 Turn the lid to open the
spout (6A) and then pour coee.
Or if it has locking lid assure it
is in locked position (6B) before
pouring.
7 Cleaning – Remove the lid
and unscrew the filter assembly.
Clean all parts after each use.

usual amount of coee.
3 Add fresh cold water and stir
with a plastic spoon. CAUTION:
Metal spoons can scratch or chip
the beaker and cause breakage.
4 Put the lid on the coee
press. Place it in your refrigera-
tor and let the coee brew from
12 to 24 hours.
5 After the brew, take the coee
press from the refrigerator and
replace the lid with the plunger
filter lid. Turn lid to close o the
pour spout opening (5A). Or if it
has locking lid turn it clockwise
to gently snap into the lock (5B).

HEISSENKAFFEE ZUBEREITEN:
1 Stellen Sie die Kanne auf eine
trockene, flache, rutschfeste
Oberfläche. Halten Sie den Gri
fest. If necessary, turn the lid
counterclockwise to unlock it
(1A), then pull the strainer direct-
ly up and out of the jug (1B).
Hinweis: Vor dem Gebrauch
sicherstellen, dass die
Filtereinheit richtig zusammen-
gesetzt ist.
2 Füllen Sie je Tasse (1,25dl)
1 gehäuften Esslöel oder
1BODUM® Masslöel mit grob
gemahlenem Kaee in die Kan-
ne. VORSICHT: Verwenden Sie
nur grob gemahlenen Kaee.
Fein gemahlener Kaee kann
den Filter verstopfen und hohen
Druck erzeugen. Kaeekanne
nur in Verbindung mit einem
Untersetzer verwenden.
3 Giessen Sie heisses (nicht
kochendes) Wasser in die
Kanne. Lassen Sie oben noch
mindestens 2,5cm Platz.
Rühren Sie den Kaee mit einem
Plastiklöel um. VORSICHT: Bei
Verwendung eines Metalllöels
kann der Becher zerkratzt
werden und ihn beschädigen.
4 Setzen Sie die Pressfilter-
einheit auf die Kanne. Drehen
Sie den Deckel, um die Ausgus-
sönung zu verschliessen (4A).
Oder, falls die Kanne einen De-
ckel hat, der einrastet, drehen
Sie ihn vorsichtig im Uhrzeiger-
sinn, bis er in der Verriegelung
fest sitzt (4B). Drücken Sie den
Filter noch nicht hinunter.
Lassen Sie den Kaee
mindestens 4 Min ziehen.

5 Halten Sie den Gri der Kan-
ne gut fest und drehen Sie den
Ausguss von sich weg. Verwen-
den Sie nur das Gewicht Ihrer
Hand, um einen leichten Druck
auf den Knopf auszuüben und
den Filter gerade in die Kanne
hinunterzudrücken. Die besten
Ergebnisse erzielen Sie, wenn
Sie den Filterstab mit minimalem
Druck langsam hinunterdrücken.
Ist der Filter verstopft oder lässt
sich der Filterstab nicht leicht
niederdrücken, ziehen Sie den
Stab aus der Kanne, rühren den
Kaee um und drücken ihn dann
nochmals langsam hinunter.
WARNUNG: Durch übermässige
Kraftanwendung kann eine
bereits beschädigte Kanne
zerbrechen und somit heisses
Wasser aus der Kanne schiessen.
6 Drehen Sie den Deckel, um
die Ausgussönung zu önen
(6A) und schenken Sie den
Kaee aus. Oder, falls die Kanne
einen Deckel hat, der einrastet,
vergewissern Sie sich, dass er
vor dem Gießen in der Verriege-
lung ist (6B).
7 Reinigung – Entfernen Sie
den Deckel und schrauben Sie
das Filterelement heraus. Reini-
gen Sie nach jedem Gebrauch
alle Teile.
KALTEN KAFFEE ZUBE
REITEN:
1 Stellen Sie die Kanne auf eine
trockene, flache, rutschfeste
Oberfläche. Halten Sie den Gri
fest. Drehen Sie bei Bedarf den
Deckel gegen den Uhrzeigersinn,
um ihn zu entsperren (1A), zie-
hen Sie dann den Siebstempel
direkt nach oben und aus der
Kanne heraus (1B).
Hinweis: Vor dem Gebrauch
sicherstellen, dass die
Filtereinheit richtig zusammen-
gesetzt ist.
