Quick start guide
The following steps describe the quickest method to get your pressure washer up and
running, however it is essential you fully read the manual to ensure you are familiar with
the general safety features, precautions and functions necessary to operate a high pressure
washer, failure to do so may result in injury, damage to your washer or personal items.

Quick Start Assembly
Wheels
Your Generator requires some basic
assembly. The wheels, feet and handles
should be tted with the accessories
provided. Please follow the illustrations
below for instruction on tting the wheels
to the frame.
The frame has mounting points which
secure the wheel axle in place (g.1). The
Axle (g.2 ‘A’) is positioned through the
mounting point and secured in place with
the nut (Fig.2 ‘B’). When in place (g.3)
the wheel can be placed over the axle
and held with the split pin (g.4)

Rubber Feet
The following describes how to attach
the rubber feet to the Generator frame.
Please follow the illustrations below.
The underside of the Generator frame
has pre-drilled holes (g.5/6 ‘D’) which
are the same size as the threaded stud
on the rubber feet. Insert the rubber foot
(g.7) into the holes and secure with the
nut (g.8)

Handles
The handles attach at the back of the
frame (g.9) and are secured using the
two nuts and bolts provided.
Insert the handle (g.10 ‘E’) in the
bracket, thread the bolt (g.10 ‘F’)
through to hold in place. Secure with nut
(g.10 ‘G’) and tighten.

Preface
Thank you for the purchase of your
Böhmer-AG petrol generator. The
Böhmer-AG generator is powerful, low
noise, economic and easily transported:
widely used for household, outdoor and
other general power requirements. The
operation and maintenance methods are
described in this manual. Before use it is
important you read and understand the
manual in order to safely operate this
generator and to ensure a continued and
extended life of the engine and other
components.
All technical data and illustrations in
this manual conform with the latest
specications at the time of printing.
Because of revisions and other changes,
the contents of the specications and
manual may be slightly different from
the product. Böhmer-AG has the right
to modify at any time, the development,
product or revision without notice.

content of this manual as well as, but not
limited to, the design and features of the
generator: Any organization or individual
may not illegally copy or modify these

This documents is a permanent part of

• Do not attempt to modify the product In any way.
• To ensure good operating conditions, range regular service from an authorised agent.
• Only use replacement parts supplied by the manufacturer.
• Only use fresh, clean and good quality fuel in the engine.
• Never operate the engine without oil.
• Never refuel in close proximity to naked flames, sparks or other sources of ignition
e.g. cigarettes.
• Do not refuel when the engine it hot or engine is running.
• Wipe up and correctly dispose of any fuel spillage immediately within public
guidelines.
• Move away from the refuelling areas before restarting the engine. Store fuel for short
periods only in a suitable container away from heat and direct sunlight.
• Clean the generator thoroughly after each use.
• Regularly check external nuts and fixings to ensure vibration caused by normal
caused y normal use has not loosened them. Remove the spark plug ignition lead
(HT Lead) from the back of the spark plug and position the lead to avoid accidental
reconnection.
• Store the machine in a secure dry location out of reach of children.
• Empty the fuel lank before storage.
• Do not use indoors
• Do not connect to your home electrical circuit

Note: The generator must be operated on a at surface - the unit will shut down on an
uneven surface.
1. Clean dipstick
2. Insert the dipstick into the oil inlet, do not rotate
3. If the oil level is lower than the minimum ‘L’ marking, add oil to maximum ‘H’
marking
4. Tighten the dipstick
Note: Petrol engine oil is the main factor that affects the performance and life of the
gasoline engine. It is recommended not to use additives or two-stroke engine oil
because they lack sufcient lubrication and will shorted the life of the engine.
Check before use
Oil level
Before checking, shut down the engine and allow the unit to cool sufciently.
1. Open the fuel tank cap
2. Check fuel level
3. Fill with unleaded gasoline up to the lter
4. Replace fuel tank cap
Fuel safety
• Petrol is extremely ammable, under certain conditions will explode.
• Only refuel in a well ventilated room.
• Do not allow fuel to overow. If spillage occurs, clean immediately before running.
Ensure cap is tight.
• Avoid repeated or prolonged contact with skin and avoid inhalation.
• Do not leave children unsupervised around the generator.

• Only use unleaded gasoline in this generator with an octane number higher than
86.
• The use of lead free (unleaded) petrol in the engine can reduce the accumulation of
carbon in the engine and extend the life of the generator.
• Never use a mixture of old or contaminated petrol (or oil). Avoid getting water in the
fuel tank.
• Fuel may damage paint or plastic. When you rel be careful not to spill.
Air filter
The air lter is installed on the intake system of the engine. It allows clean air to ow
into the engine to provide the correct air/fuel mixture.
1. To check/clean
2. Open air lter cover
3. Check air lter to ensure it is free of dirt build-up
4. If dirty, remove lter and clean with a solvent cleaning solution
5. Squeeze to remove water and allow to dry
6. add a few drops of oil
7. squeeze tight to distribute oil and remove any excess
8. Install air lter and cover
Starting your gasoline generator
1. Make sure the AC Circuit Breaker is switched to OFF (g.11)
2. Turn the Fuel Tap to ON (g.12)
3. Put Choke lever to the ON position by sliding to the left (g.13)
4. Flick the ignition switch to the ON position. (g.14)
5. Gently pull the handle on the recoil start until you feel
resistance, then pull up quickly. Be careful not to over pull or to
allow recoil cable to snap back. (g.15)

1. For models with electric start, you can skip step 5 of the previous starting methods
as described. Your model still comes with a recoil starter as a backup / alternative
starting medhod. However the key ignition will start the unit using a starter motor.
2. Follow steps 1-4 in the previous ‘Starting your gasoline generator’ section.
3. Turn the ignition key to the ON position. (g.16)
4. Fully turn the key to the right for no more than 3 seconds at a time. The generator
will start.
5. Note: To use the recoil backup, turn the key ignition to the on position, avoiding
turning all the way to the right. Then proceed to pull recoil as described in previous
medhod 5 in the previous ‘Starting your gasoline generator’ section.

Note: When started, slide the Choke lever back to the OFF
position by sliding to the right.
Warning: In order to avoid damaging your generator or
connected equipment, and to prevent electrical shock:
Be sure to earth the generator.

AC connection
1. To start follow the starting procedure
2. Connect the device to one of the 3-pin sockets
3. Flick the Circuit Breaker switch to the ON position. This allows surge protection for
connected devices
Shut down procedure
1. Switch the AC Circuit Breaker to the OFF position.
2. Flick the ignition ON/OFF switch to the OFF position. For models with Key Start then
proceed to turn the key to the OFF position.
3. Turn the fuel tap to the OFF position.
DC connection
1. Connect your device’s Black wire to the Black negative terminal, the Red wire to the
Red Positive terminal
2. Follow the starting procedure

Oil change
Maintenance tasks
1. Unscrew the oil dipstick (g.17 ‘A’)
2. Undo the oil plug and drain the oil
3. Install and tighten the drain plug
4. Add oil to the upper limit of oil cap
(g.17 ‘B’)
5. Install dipstick
Note: Recommended oil - 4-stroke petrol
oil API class of SE, SF or equivalent to SG
class SAE10W-30 oil

3. Carefully clean up any carbon build-up
4. Measure/check spark plug gap. Adjust

Storage
If you do not use your generator for a long
period of time, please follow these steps
for storage:
1. Remove fuel from the fuel tank
2. Clean the fuel lter and sediment cup
and reinstall
3. Drain fuel from carburettor
4. Unscrew the oil dipstick and drain plug,
remove oil.
5. Tighten the drain plug and add new oil,
then install dipstick
6. Pull the Recoil Starter handle until you
feel resistance and allow to slacken
7. Store in a clean and dry area
Troubleshooting
Issue:
The generator will not start.
Solutions:
1. Check fuel
2. Check whether ignition switch is set to
ON position
3. Remove spark plug and check for
spark
4. Check oil is lled up to the threads
5. Contact supplier

Unit will not generate electricity
