
ASSEMBLY
1. General
A. After the components have been repaired and cleaned, obey the assembly instructions for the
Tuning Select control panel (refer to Repair, Pageblock 23−81−04_6001 and Cleaning,
Pageblock 23−81−04_4001).
B. Do the unpacking of electrical/electronic components as follows:
(1) Obey all the local safety regulations for handling electronic components that contain
electrostatic−sensitive devices (ESDS), as applicable. Many components have microprocessors
and memory devices that can be damaged by electrostatic discharges. Always wear a wrist
strap and make sure you are correctly grounded before you remove the ESDS components from
their packages.
C. Assembly must be performed on a clean workbench in a room free from dust and moisture. Parts
must be protected from impact damage.
2. Assembly
Refer to Figure 1001, Refer to Figure 1002.
NOTE: All item numbers shown in parentheses ( ) are the same item numbers are used in the
Illustrated Parts List (IPL).
A. Assemble the Tuning Select control panel as follows:
(1) Install the electrical connector (100) as follows:
(a) Install the posts (70) on the mounting plate assembly (50) with the screws (75).
(b) Install the connector (100) on the posts (70) with the screws (105).
(2) Install the ATC SEL 1 STBY 2 rotary switch (90) as follows:
(a) Install the ATC SEL 1 STBY 2 rotary switch (90) on the mounting plate assembly (50) with
the washer and the nut (part of (90)).
NOTE: When you install a new switch, remove and discard one nut, one lock washer and
one rubber washer supplied by the vendor.
(b) Remove the tags and connect the electrical wires to the switch (12).
(3) Install the FMS TUNE INHIBIT toggle switch (95) on the Tuning Select control panel as follows
(for CC670−51111−3, CC670−51111−7, CC670−51111−27, and CC670−51111−31 only):
(a) Install the FMS TUNE INHIBIT toggle switch (95) on the mounting plate assembly (50) with
the nut, the locking ring (part of (95)) and the washer (110).
NOTE: When you install a new switch, remove and discard one nut and one lock washer
supplied by the vendor.
(b) Remove the tags and connect the electrical wires to the switch (95).
(4) Install the RTU 2 INHB switch/light (20) as follows:
