FAST TEA BREWING FUNCTION
Automatic basket lifting and dipping in the course of tea brewing allow water
tocirculate, increasing brewing speed and degree.
TEMPERATURE AND BREWING DEGREE SETTING
Electronic control allows determination of a brewing degree and brewing
temperature and provides an opportunity to experiment with all sorts of tea,
achieving different shades of taste.

AUTOMATIC / MANUAL TEMPERATURE
AND BREWING DEGREE CONTROL
Three presets for the right choice of a tea brewing mode – strong, medium
andmild, five temperature modes and possibility of manual programming
forbrewing time and temperature allow getting of the perfect taste of a drink,
considering the degree of tea leaves grinding, freshness and tea grade.
DELAYED START FUNCTION
The kettle is turned on automatically at a convenient time thanks to the provided
timer.
TEMPERATURE KEEPING FUNCTION
The kettle maintains the set temperature for an hour after shutdown.

INDICATION OF TIME AND BREWING TEMPERATURE
An electronic sensor provides control of heating, brewing time and water
temperature. Temperature sensor indications are displayed in the real time mode,
allowing control of the process of tea brewing and water heating.
In order to convert degrees Celsius to Fahrenheit hold "Type of tea" and "Brewing
degree" buttons for 2 seconds simultaneously.
GLASS BOWL MADE FROM THE HEATRESISTANT GLASS
The process of tea brewing is a fascinating spectacle. A heat-resistant
glass enclosure allows easy visual inspection of the brewing procces
andwillbeappreciated by true tea connoisseurs.
MEMORY FUNCTION
At the end of tea brewing and water heating cycles determined individual settings
remain in the kettle memory even after its disconnection from mains.
SAFETY AND RELIABILITY
Absolute safety is guaranteed by an automatic shutdown taking place in case
ofoverheating or lack of water. Protection of the kettle base from moisture

BOILING OF WATER
• Press the HOT WATER / CANCEL button in order
to heat some water.
• The display shows current temperature TEMP
andkettle operation indicator ON in the course
ofthe water heating.
• After completion of the water heating process
the kettle will issue 3 beeps and the display
willautomatically display the 60 minutes
countdown TIME SINCE BREW.
TEA BREWING
Select the desired temperature mode:
• Green – green tea
• Black – black tea
• White – white tea
• Herbal – herbal tea
• Oolong – oolong
The display will show brewing temperature
readings BREW TEMP. The display will also
provide brewing time indication BREW TIME.
Set the brewing degree:
• Strong – strong
• Mild – mild
• Medium – medium, average
• The display also shows brewing time indication
BREW TIME.
• Press the TEA / CANCEL button in order to start
the brewing process.
• The display will show the countdown BREW TIME
in the course of the tea brewing process.
• After completion of the brewing process the kettle
will issue 3 beeps and the display will automatically
display the 60 minutes countdown TIME SINCE
BREW.
The brewing process begins only when
thesettemperature is reached.
Individual settings for tea brewing – Custom
• Use buttons and to enter the required
brewing temperature BREW TEMP in the range
of 50-100°C,set the brewing BREW TIME
to10minutes and press the TEA / CANCEL
button.
• The manual control mode will be turned on when
choosing the tea brewing time of more than
10minutes and the display will show «––:––»
aswell as manual controls indication MANUAL
LIFT.
• Press and hold the BASKET button for 2 seconds
in order to lift the basket.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
Delayed start function – AUTO START
Apply in order to program the kettle for turning
onin the period of time convenient for you,
provide brewing settings: tea type and brewing
degree. Press and hold the AUTO START button
for2 seconds.
If you want to boil water to a certain moment
of time, then you shall not enter settings for tea
brewing.
• Use buttons and to enter the current time
(CURRENT TIME) and kettle turning on time
(START TIME). Select the desired operating mode:
water boiling HOT WATER / CANCEL or tea
brewing TEA / CANCEL.
The kettle displays time in the 12-hour format:
• AM – time to noon; PM – afternoon time.

Function of maintaining the desired
temperature – KEEP WARM
You can activate the function before and during
cycle performance or wait until completion
ofthetea brewing cycle or the water boiling cycle
andpress the KEEP WARM button.
The process oftemperature keeping can last up
to 60 minutes within the range of temperature
of70–80
°C.
The function will not be activated if the water
temperature is below 50
°C.
Fast tea brewing function – BASKET
• Press the BASKET button. The display will show
the fast brewing function BASKET CYCLE.
• The basket goes up and down automatically during
the brewing cycle.
• The second pressing of the BASKET button
inthebrewing cycle turns the function off
andthebasket is fixed in the lower position up to
expiration of the brewing time.
Manual control of the basket
• Press and hold the BASKET button for 2 seconds.
• The basket will be taken down and locked in such
position.
• Press and hold the BASKET button in order to raise
the basket to its original position.
RETURN TO THE FACTORY SETTINGS
The kettle control unit saves all previously applied
settings after disconnection from mains In order
to return all changed kettle parameters to their
original state – simultaneously press andhold
buttons AUTO START and KEEP WARM
for2 seconds.
STANDBY MODE
If a user does not launch any operations
onthekettle within the period of 3 minutes,
itisautomatically transferred to the standby
mode. In this mode all display lights are turned
off. Inorder to bring the kettlle out of the standby
mode, perform any of two procedures:
• remove and put the kettle to the base;
• press any button other than HOT WATER /
CANCEL.
ERROR MESSAGES
RESET – flashing indicator, power failure
message. Disconnect the kettle from the power
supply and it turn on again in 5 seconds.
ERROR — flashing indicator, operation error
message. Refer to the authorized BORK service
centre.
RECOMMENDATIONS
• Water quality affects the taste of drinks.
Use only filtered water in order to obtain a good
result.
• Do not leave brewed tea in the bowl at night.
• The crushed tea is cooked faster and stronger
incomparison with the leaf-type. In ordertoavoid
excessive strength and hard taste, adjust
thecooking time depending on the degree of tea
leaf grinding.

but it is possible to feel it. Moreover, a new sensation

a new story.
The first secret of tea is known to everyone – tea
gives subtle sensations that create the quality of your
day.
Nowadays tea has firmly reached the glory
ofa "healthy drink", it has a unique ability
toreach heaven and earth and take all that is rare
andnecessary for human health. In recent years
a passion for a good cup of tea has become thesame
attribute of a refined taste, as well as the choice
offine art, fine wines, designer furniture.
Fortunately for us, tea can be both a luxury element
and democratic good-quality product which
isappropriate for use in everyday life.
Green, yellow and jasmine tea can not stand high
temperatures since essential components quickly
burn in the boiling water. The taste is best disclosed
ata temperature value of about 80
°C.
The best varieties of white tea are made from buds
oftea trees, covered with natural fluff.
Therefore the white tea is treated carefully
andbrewed at the water temperature not exceeding
85
°C.

Oolongs are made from a fairly large and mature
leaves, often having a quickset. Such leaves
canbebest brewed using boiling water with

Cliffed oolongs and pu-erhs have a more severe
degree of fermentation, optimum brewing
temperature– 95
°C.
Black tea reveals its taste and aroma at 100
°C.

Disconnect the kettle from the mains supply before
cleaning and wait until it cools down.
It shall be prohibited to immerse the kettle, its base,
itscord or plug into water or other liquid in order
toavoid the risk of an electric shock. Do not wash
thebody and the base of the kettle under tap water.
Wipe the bowl and base with a soft damp sponge
ora cloth.
Do not clean the kettle using abrasive cleaners
andscouring pads.
Remove the plastic cover in order to clean the tea
basket.
Removable parts – kettle cover, tea basket, cover
ofthe tea basket and measuring spoon shall
bewashed in warm soapy water or inthedishwasher.
The anti-scale filter shall be wiped with a damp cloth.
DESCALING
Remove the scale as needed. Use special
tools to remove scale and follow instructions
ofmanufacturers of descaling means.
STORAGE
The device is recommended to be stored
intheassembled condition in a cool dry place,
isolated from places of storage of acids and bases
atthetemperature from 5 to 30
°C and relative
humidity of not more than 65
%.
Protect the device from extreme temperature
fluctuations.

• Connect the device to a grounded outlet

• This device is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
andknowledge.
• This device is intended for use only in home
conditions.
• Make sure that all packing materials have been
removed before switching the device on for the first
time.
• It shall be prohibited to immerse the kettle, its base,
its cord or plug into water or other liquid in order
toavoid the risk of an electric shock.
• Do not allow the power cord to come into contact
with the hot surface, since the cord may be
damaged.
• Install the device on a levelled flat surface only.
• Do not place the kettle close to items that can
bedeformed by heat.
• The minimum distance from the kettle to objects –
20 cm.
• Use the kettle only for heating of water or brewing
of tea.
• Do not turn the device on if there isn't any water
in it.
• Do not fill the kettle with water above the mark
"WATER MAX" in case of water heating or above
the mark "TEA MAX" in case of tea brewing.
• Be careful when handling the kettle filled with hot
water or with tea. In order to avoid burns, do not
touch the device housing, use the handle.
• Do not remove the kettle from the base during
operation.
• Do not wash the body and base of the kettle under
tap water.
• It shall be prohibited to allow ingress of foreign
bodies and liquids into the housing, since it can
lead to damage.

• Formation of scale can cause increased operating
noise, incorrect operation of the temperature sensor
and longer water boiling. We recommend toremove
the scale as it is formed, ref. the "Cleaning and
maintenance" section for more information.
• Do not pour cold water into the hot empty kettle,
wait until the kettle is cooled down completely.
• Avoid direct sunlight influence. Do not install
thedevice near other sources of heat.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or hard metal
elements for device cleaning.
• Unplug the power cord from an electrical outlet
when leaving the device unattended, at the end
of use and before cleaning, moving and prior
tostorage.
• Transportation of the device shall be allowed only
in the original packaging, as well as in the fixed
position.
• Check the power cord, plug and housing regularly
for damage. If any kind of damage has been
detected – immediately stop device application
andbring it to the nearest service centre for testing,
replacement or repair.
• It shall be prohibited to remove or damage
theinformation plate of the device and its
serial number They are necessary for accurate
identification of the device in the event
ofa malfunction.
• The device shall be disposed in accordance with
law requirements of the country, in which it is used.
CORRECTIVE MEASURES
• In case of a fault the device shall be stopped
immediately and sent to your nearest BORK service
centre for testing, replacement or repair.
• For safety reasons, all procedures on repair
andmaintenance of the device shall be performed
only in authorized BORK service centres.

In order to avoid misunderstandings, we ask you kindly to carefully study the user manual, terms
of the warranty, check correctness of the warranty card. The warranty card is valid ifa user
has a correct and legible specification of the following information: model, serial number
oftheproduct, date of sale, clearly visible seals of the seller, buyer's signature. The model
andserial number ontheproduct shall comply with those indicated in the warranty card.
The warranty shall be deemed null and void if any of these conditions are violated and when
data, specified in the warranty card, is altered, deleted or overwritten. If the date of sale can
notbeestablished in accordance the warranty period and lifetime shall be calculated from

• force majeure circumstances (fire, flood, lightning).
Replacement of faulty parts of the product (parts, components, assembly units) during
the warranty period shall not lead to establishment of a new warranty period for the entire
product, or a part replaced.
