General Safety Rules
Work area
1. Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluered and dark areas invite accidents.
2. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of ammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may
ignite the dust or fumes.
3. Keep children and bystanders away while operang a power tool. Distracons can cause you to lose control.
Electrical Safety
1) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord to carry the tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts. Replace damaged cords immediately.
Damaged cords may create a re.
(The following applies only to tools with a separate baery pack)
2) A baery operated tool with integral baeries or a separate baery pack must be recharged only with the specied charger for the baery. A charger that
may be suitable for one type of baery may create a risk of re when used with another baery.
Personal Safety
1. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operang a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are red or under the inuence
of drugs, alcohol or medicaon. A moment of inaenon while operang power tools may result in serious personal injury.
2. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Contain long hair. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes,
jewellery, or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
3. Avoid accidental starng. Be sure switch is in the locked or o posion before inserng baer pack. Carrying tools with your nger on the switch invites
accidents.
4. Do not overreach. Keep proper foong and balance at all mes. Proper foong and balance enable beer control of the tool in unexpected situaons
5. Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protecon, Dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protecon must be used for appropriate condions.
Power tool use and care
1. Use clamps or other praccal ways to secure and support the work piece to a stable plaorm. Holding the work piece by hand or against your body is unstable
and may lead to loss of control.
2. Do not force tool. Use the correct tool for your applicaon. The correct tool will do the job beer and safer at the rate for which it is designed.
3. Do not use tool if switch does not turn it on of o. A tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
4. Store idle tools out of reach of children and other untrained persons. Tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users
5. Maintain tools with care. Keep cung tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained tools with sharp cung edge are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
6. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, and any other condion that may aect the tool’s operaon. If damaged, have the tool
serviced before using .Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained tools.
7. Use only accessories that are supplied with your model. Other accessories that may not be suitable for this tool and may create a risk of injury when used.
Recommended and Proper Use
This hand held power tool uses abrasive disks to grind metals or masonry.
This power product is supplied without batteries or charger. This power tool should only be operated combined with the recommended by the manufacturer
genuine Bormann battery and charger.
Specic Safety Rules
Have this tool repaired by a qualied person. This tool is designed to conform to the relevant internaonal and local standards. As such, it should be maintained
and repaired by someone qualied, using only original parts supplied by the manufacturer - This will ensure the tool remains safe to use.
- Check that speed marked on the wheel is equal to or greater than the rated speed of the grinder.
- Ensure that the wheel dimensions are compable with the grinder.
- Abrasive wheels must be stored and handled with care in accordance with manufacturer's instrucons.
- Inspect the grinding wheel before use. Do not use chipped, cracked or otherwise defecve products.
- Ensure that mounted wheels and points are ed in accordance with the manufacturer's instrucons.
- Ensure that the abrasive product is correctly mounted and ghtened before use.
• Run the tool at no-load for 30 seconds in a safe posion.
• Stop immediately if there is considerable vibraon or if other defects are detected. If this condion occurs, check the machine to determine the cause.
- Never use the angle grinder without the safety guard.
- Do not use separate reducing bushings or adapters to adapt large hole abrasive wheels.
- Check that the work piece is properly supported.
- Do not use cutting wheel for side grinding.
- Ensure that sparks resulting from use do not create a hazard e.g. do not hit persons, to ignite flammable substances.
- Always use eye and ear protection.
- Personal protective equipment such as dust mask, gloves, helmet and apron should be worn.
- The wheel continues to rotate after the tool is switched off.
Warning! Prior to mounting an abrasive wheel ensure the expiry date has not exceeded rendering it potentially hazardous.
Secure work. Use clamps or a vice to hold the work. It is safer than using your hands and it frees both hands to operate the tool.
Stay alert. Watch what you are doing. Use common sense. Do not operate tool when you are tired.
Wear proper clothing. Do not wear loose clothing, neck-ties or jewellery (ring, wristwatches etc.) to catch in moving parts. Non-slip footwear is recommended.
Wear protective covering to contain long hair. Roll long sleeves above the elbow.
Use safety goggles (Head protection). Wear goggles approved to the relevant standards at all times. Normal spectacles only have impact resistant lenses, they
are NOT safety glasses. Also, use face or dust mask if application is dusty and ear protectors during all operations.
Sound levels. Some types of machines may have high sound levels when working. In such cases ear protection must be worn.

Vibration levels. Hand held power tools produce different vibration levels. You should always refer to the specifications and the relevant Health and
Safety guidelines.
Dust extraction. If your tool is fitted with a dust extraction facility, always ensure that it is connected and being used with a dust extractor. Vacuum cleaners
can be used if suitable for the material being extracted.
Check damaged parts. Before use, any blade guard or other part that is damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and
perform its intended function. Check for alignment of moving parts, free running of moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting and any other conditions that
may affect its operation. A guard or other part that is damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by an authorised service centre unless otherwise
indicated in this instruction manual. Have defective switches replaced by an authorised service centre. Do not use the tool if the switch does not turn it on and
off.
Have your tool repaired by a qualified person. Use of this electric tool is in accordance with the relevant safety requirements. Repairs should only be
carried out by qualified persons using original spare parts, otherwise this may result in considerable danger to the user.
Safety Recommendaons For The Correct Use Of Abrasive Products
General
Bonded abrasive products are breakable and shall therefore be handled with utmost care. The use of damaged or improperly mounted or used abrasive
products is dangerous and can cause serious injuries.
Delivery, handling and storage
Abrasive products must be handled and transported with care. Abrasive products must be stored in such a manner that they are not subjected to mechanical
damaged and harmful environmental inuences.
Selecon of the abrasive product
Informaon on the label or the abrasive product stang restricons of use, safety indicaons or any other instrucons must be followed. In case of doubt
concerning the selecon of abrasive products, the user shall request informaon from the manufacturer or supplier.
Visual inspecon and ring test
Abrasive products must be subjected to a visual inspecon as received before mounng. In addion, a ring test shall be executed for vitried wheels with
D>80mm. Damaged abrasive products shall be destroyed.
Mounng before starng and informaon for grinding
The mounng of abrasive products shall be carried out according to the instrucons provided by both the wheel and the machine manufacturer. Mounng of
abrasive products must be carried out by a qualied trained person. Aer inial mounng, the wheel must be test run for a reasonable me - the specied
maximum operang speed of the wheel shall not be exceeded.

Installing the protecon guard (Picture 1)
1. The guard should be posioned so as to protect the user and persons from parcles, sparks and possible projecons of pieces of the disc.
2. Once adjusted in the desired posion, ghten the fast set screw so that the guard cannot be moved by hand.

How to install the disc in 6 steps ( Pictures 2, 3, 4)
1. Before any intervenon, always disconnect the power tool from the baery pack.
2. Insert the centering washer unl it clicks into place.
3. Select the appropriate disk for the work to be performed. Insert and center the disc.
Warning!
Never reuse discs that were originally larger and due to wear and tear have become smaller to the point of entering this grinder. Larger discs are not designed
for high speeds of smaller grinders.
4. Pay aenon to the thickness of the disc to be installed to posion the tensioning nut on the correct side.
5. Lock the sha by pressing the buon and simultaneously turn the sha unl it is secured.
6. Secure the disc with the spanner wrench. Do not apply too much ghtening force. This will make it dicult to remove the disc or even damage it. The rotaon
of the machine is self-xing.
Deburring and thinning operaon
• When powering up, wait unl the machine reaches maximum speed before starng work.
• Tilt the angle grinder according to the needs of the work, within the recommended angles. Make sure that the workpiece is securely fastened.
• Do not apply too much pressure. A decrease in rotaon worsens the result and the eciency of the roughing work. Do not generate excessive heat on the
disc and the part. Make stops.
• Hold the grinder rmly and, with proper posture, apply circular movements back and forth.
• Always use both hands, and with the auxiliary handle installed.

Warning!
If, despite maintaining the correct lt, the work starts having poor performance, it is a sign that the disc is worn out or a higher power is required. Wait for the
machine to immobilize the movement before lowering or put it down.
• Never use any liquids to perform works with this power tool.
• Do not obstruct the air vents of the machine.
• Disconnect the power tool from the baery at the end of the operaon.
Never use the Spindle lock buon or rest the disc on a surface to stop the movement faster.
Never touch the disc immediately aer the operaon as it may be hot.
If the machine is subjected to heavy and long-term use, excessive heang and acvaon of the thermal protecon system of the baery is possible, causing a
deceleraon of the machine or even a temporary stop. In this situaon, wait for the baeries to cool to resume operaon
This power tool has an electronic overload protecon system that is acvated in the event of a locking. If you noce that the system has been triggered, shut
o the machine, correct the working condions and switch it back on. Although this system has protecon, it is only acvated with a full lock and the constant
drive tends to degrade the machine. Avoid exposing the equipment to such situaons repeatedly.
Cung operaon
1. Hold the machine rmly and do not perform side movements to avoid fragmenng the disc.
2. Posion the face or neck always behind the acng plan of the disc.
3. Always use both hands, and with the auxiliary handle installed. Follow the cut in the direcon in which the disc makes the downward movement; the sparks
and parcles created by the cut will be projected downwards. Never use cung disc for deburring.

Regular inspecon and cleaning reduces the necessity for maintenance operaons and will keep your tool in good working condion.

Conduct a rst-aid procedure adequate to the injury and summon qualied medical aendance as quickly as

No metal parts may enter the sha to slide the baery (risk of short circuit).
Never use the charger moist or wet condions. Suitable for indoor areas only.
Make sure the system voltage corresponds to the charger type plate details. There is a risk of electric shock.
Cable connecons to be separated by pulling the plug only. Pulling the cable could damage both the cable
and plug. As a result, electric safety would no longer be guaranteed.
Never use the charger when the cable, plug or the machine is damaged by external inuences.
In case of damage, deliver the product to an authorized service center.
Make sure the cooling funcon is not limited by covering the cooling slots. Do not operate the appliance near
heat sources or on a ammable surface.
Never open the charger. Contact a specialised workshop in case of any defect.
The Bormann charger to be used only to charge the baery. There can be malfuncon or re if dierent
chargers are used.
The outer baery surface must be clean and dry before the baery starts to get charged.

Vapours may leak out in case of unauthorised use or when using a damaged accumulator.
Bring fresh air and seek medical advice if experiences dicules. Vapours may irritate the respiratory system.

Never use damaged, defecve or deformed accumulators. Never open or damage the accumulator or let it
fall on the ground.
Never charge the baery in an environment with acids and easily ammable materials.
Protect the baery against heat and re.
Protect the battery against moisture and liquids.
Battery to be used at the ambient temperatures between 10°C and +40°C only.
Never put the baery on heaters and do not expose it to strong sunlight for a long me.
After being subject to heavy load, let the battery cool down first.
Short circuit - do not bridge the accumulator contacts with metal parts.
The accumulator must be packaged (plasc bag, box) or accumulator contacts must be sealed up for accumu-
lator disposal, transport or storage.

Accumulators are supplied parally charged and must therefore be fully charged before being used the rst
me.
Charge the accumulator when the appliance is running slowly or it stops.
A li-ion baery maybe charged at any me without any shortening of its life. Charging process interrupon
will not damage the accumulator.
A li-ion baery is protected by the electronic cell protecon against deep discharge.
A signicantly shorter operang me of a charged baery means the baery life is over and the baery must
be replaced.
Original spare baeries to be used only.

The disposal instrucons are based on the icons placed on the appliance or its package.
Any damaged or disposed devices must be delivered to appropriate collecon centres.
Dispose off the batteries in an environmentally friendly manner.
Li-ion batteries are subject to the disposal obligation. Have any defective batteries disposed off by a
specialised shop. The battery must be taken out before the appliance is scrapped. Damaged batteries may
harm the environment and your health if toxic vapours or liquids leak out of such batteries.
Therefore, never send a defecve baery by post, etc. Please contact your local recycling centre.
Dispose the baeries when they are no longer funconal. We recommend applying an adhesive tape
on the poles to protect them against short circuit.
Never open the baery.

The packaging protects the machine against damage during transport materials are usually chosen
based on environment aspects and waste treatment principles and are recyclable. Returning the
packaging into material circulaon saves raw materials and reduces waste producon. Parts of
packagings (e.g. foils, styropor) can be dangerous for children.

Keep parts of the packagings out of reach children and dispose them soon as possible.

Zone de travail
1. Gardez la zone de travail propre et bien éclairée. Les zones encombrées et sombres sont propices aux accidents.
2. N'utilisez pas d'outils électriques dans des atmosphères explosives, par exemple en présence de liquides, de gaz ou de poussières inflammables. Les outils

Utilisation et entretien des outils électriques

• Arrêtez-vous immédiatement en cas de vibrations importantes ou si d'autres défauts sont détectés. Si cette situation se produit, vérifiez la machine pour en
déterminer la cause.
- N'utilisez jamais la meuleuse d'angle sans la protection de sécurité.
- N'utilisez pas de douilles réductrices ou d'adaptateurs séparés pour adapter les roues abrasives à grands trous.
- Vérifiez que la pièce à travailler est correctement soutenue.
- Ne pas utiliser la molette de coupe pour le meulage latéral.
- Veillez à ce que les étincelles résultant de l'utilisation ne créent pas de danger, par exemple en ne touchant pas les personnes, en enflammant des substances
inflammables.
- Utilisez toujours des protections pour les yeux et les oreilles.
- Il convient de porter des équipements de protection individuelle tels que masque anti-poussière, gants, casque et tablier.
- La roue continue à tourner après l'arrêt de l'outil.
Avertissement ! Avant de monter une meule abrasive, assurez-vous que la date de péremption n'est pas dépassée, ce qui la rendrait potentiellement dangereuse.
Sécuriser le travail. Utilisez des pinces ou un étau pour maintenir l'ouvrage. C'est plus sûr que d'utiliser vos mains et cela libère les deux mains pour utiliser l'outil.
Restez vigilant. Regardez ce que vous faites. Faites preuve de bon sens. N'utilisez pas l'outil lorsque vous êtes fatigué.
Portez des vêtements appropriés. Ne portez pas de vêtements amples, de cravates ou de bijoux (bague, montre-bracelet, etc.) susceptibles de se prendre dans les
pièces mobiles. Il est recommandé de porter des chaussures antidérapantes.
Portez des protections pour contenir les cheveux longs. Roulez les manches longues au-dessus du coude.
Utilisez des lunettes de sécurité (protection de la tête). Portez en permanence des lunettes de protection homologuées selon les normes en vigueur. Les lunettes
normales n'ont que des verres résistants aux chocs, ce ne sont PAS des lunettes de sécurité. Utilisez également un masque facial ou anti-poussière si l'application
est poussiéreuse et des protections auditives pendant toutes les opérations.
Niveaux sonores. Certains types de machines peuvent présenter des niveaux sonores élevés pendant le travail. Dans ce cas, il faut porter des protections auditives.

Niveaux de vibration. Les outils électriques portatifs produisent différents niveaux de vibration. Vous devez toujours vous référer aux spécifications et
aux directives pertinentes en matière de santé et de sécurité.
Extraction des poussières. Si votre outil est équipé d'un dispositif d'extraction de la poussière, assurez-vous toujours qu'il est connecté et utilisé avec un
extracteur de poussière. Les aspirateurs peuvent être utilisés s'ils sont adaptés au matériau à extraire.
Vérifiez les pièces endommagées. Avant l'utilisation, toute protection de lame ou autre pièce endommagée doit être soigneusement vérifiée pour
déterminer si elle fonctionnera correctement et remplira sa fonction prévue. Vérifiez l'alignement des pièces mobiles, le libre fonctionnement des pièces
mobiles, la rupture des pièces, le montage et toute autre condition pouvant affecter son fonctionnement. Un protecteur ou une autre pièce endommagée
doit être correctement réparé ou remplacé par un centre de service agréé, sauf indication contraire dans ce manuel d'instructions. Faites remplacer les
interrupteurs défectueux par un centre de service agréé. N'utilisez pas l'outil si l'interrupteur ne permet pas de le mettre en marche et de l'arrêter.
Faites réparer votre outil par une personne qualifiée. L'utilisation de cet outil électrique est conforme aux exigences de sécurité en vigueur. Les
réparations ne doivent être effectuées que par des personnes qualifiées utilisant des pièces de rechange d'origine, sinon cela peut entraîner un danger
considérable pour l'utilisateur.
Recommandations de sécurité pour l'utilisation correcte des produits abrasifs
Général
Les produits abrasifs agglomérés sont cassables et doivent donc être manipulés avec le plus grand soin. L'utilisation de produits abrasifs endommagés ou mal
montés ou utilisés est dangereuse et peut provoquer des blessures graves.
Livraison, manutention et stockage
Les produits abrasifs doivent être manipulés et transportés avec précaution. Les produits abrasifs doivent être stockés de manière à ce qu'ils ne soient pas
soumis à des dommages mécaniques et à des influences environnementales nuisibles.
Sélection du produit abrasif
Les informations figurant sur l'étiquette ou le produit abrasif indiquant les restrictions d'utilisation, les indications de sécurité ou toute autre instruction
doivent être respectées. En cas de doute concernant le choix des produits abrasifs, l'utilisateur doit demander des informations au fabricant ou au
fournisseur.
Inspection visuelle et test des anneaux
Les produits abrasifs doivent être soumis à un contrôle visuel tels qu'ils sont reçus avant le montage. En outre, un essai circulaire doit être effectué pour les
meules vitrifiées de D>80mm. Les produits abrasifs endommagés doivent être détruits.
