Setting Up
Before you begin...
Thank you for selecting this multimedia accessory pedestal from Bose
®
. Designed as a
simple and attractive solution, it allows you to connect and play a variety of auxiliary compo-
nents using your Wave
®
radio/CD or Wave
®
radio.
Benefits of the pedestal include:
•Wave
®
radio sound from a wide range of auxiliary audio sources
• Compact design that fits the lines and the functions of your Wave
®
radio/CD (Figure 1a) or
Wave
®
radio (Figure 1b)
• Quality construction and performance

Simplifying connections to your Wave
®
radio
While the connectors are in slightly different locations on the back of the two different pedes-
tals, both provide the same connection options. They include three RCA input jacks and three
power outlet plugs on the rear panel. There is also a slot through which the Wave
®
radio
power cord passes to reach a wall outlet. The two additional power jacks on the pedestal are
for plugging in added components. Or you may choose to connect the Wave
®
radio power
plug to one of those pedestal jacks, as shown in Figure 2 on page 5.
When all the other connections are made, simply plug the pedestal power cord into an AC
(mains) wall outlet in your room. That supplies you with power enough for the radio and the
added components.

Setting Up
One at a time
For each separate component you add, there is a simple two-step process:
1. Connect the ends of one RCA cable:
• to the audio output of the component you will use with the radio, and
• to one of the three pairs of INPUT jacks on the pedestal (Figure 5).
When inserting the connectors, be sure to connect red-to-red and white-to-white
at each end. This ensures consistent right and left channel connections for proper
performance.

Getting The Sound
Using your pedestal with components connected
With auxiliary sound sources connected to your pedestal, you can easily command Wave

INPUT 1, 2, or 3 on the back of the pedestal. Those numbers coincide with the AUX buttons
on the pedestal front panel, which you will press to select the component you want to hear
(Figure 7).
