Battery precautions
1. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
2. Use only alkaline AA batteries of the same or equivalent
type.
3. Insert batteries with the correct polarity.
4. Keep batteries away from children.
5. Dispose of exhausted batteries according to local legal
requirements. Do not dispose them by throwing away
with normal household rubbish.
6. Avoid short circuiting the contacts in the battery
compartment and battery terminals.
7. Remove batteries from the unit if it will be not used for
long period of time.
8. Exhausted batteries should be removed from the
battery compartment to prevent over-discharge, which
can cause leakage and may cause damage to the
clock.
Battery installation
- Insert 1 X AA (1.5V) battery observing the correct
polarity, as shown on the diagram. Replace battery cover.
Reflex control / Sterowanie ruchem dłoni
Congratulations on your purchase of the Braun BNC005 reflex control alarm
clock, designed by Braun to make mornings easier. After the third burst of the
alarm tone, the snooze function can be activated by a simple movement of a
hand in the vicinity of the clock face (maximum operating distance 40 cm/16 in).
The movement of the hand in front of the clock should be diagonal and slightly
above the green infrared sensor. At the same time the clock face will illuminate
automatically. The alarm sound will start again 4 minutes later, and this
process will repeat for up to 40 minutes. The alarm function can only be totally

switched off by pressing the red button.

W tym samym czasie tarcza jest automatycznie podświetlana. Dźwięk alarmu
włączy się ponownie po 4 minutach, a cały proces dżemki można powtarzać do
max 40 minut. Alarm budzika można całkowicie wyłączyć naciskając czerwony
przycisk.

This clock has a «battery check system» (bcs), which
constantly checks the battery's voItage leveI. When the
battery’s energy drops below a certain level, the second
hand moves in 2-second intervaIs. This indicates that the
battery should be replaced.
Kiedy zużycie baterii osiąga minimalny poziom, wskazówka sekund przesuwa

Setting the time / Ustawianie czasu budzika
Press the button at the back of the clock so that the button pops out. Only turn
this button in a clockwise (direction as indicated on the back of the clock).
Important: After setting the time, press the button back into the housing.

Setting the alarm / Ustawianie budzika
Turn the green wheel on the side of the clock in the direction of the arrow until
the desired alarm time is shown. Only turn in the direction of the arrow to avoid
damaging the movement.
Ustawić czas budzika (alarmu) przez obracanie zielonego kółka z boku budzika
w kierunku strzałki. Przesuwać tylko w kierunku strzałki by nie uszkodzić
mechanizmu.
Alarm on/off / Budzik on/off
Press the green button on the top of the clock to switch on the alarm function.
The alarm function can only be totally switched off by pressing the red button.
To avoid accidentally switching on the alarm, the lock switch should be turned
on when travelling: press the switch marked «lock» all the way to the left, in the

direction of the «on» button.
Włączanie budzika – nacisnąć zielony przycisk na górze budzika. Wyłączanie
budzika –nacisnąc czerwony przycisk. Podczas podróży można przez
przypadek włączyć budzik, dlatego w celu uniknięcia takiej sytuacji należy
zablokować budzik przesuwając przycisk „lock” do lewej, w stronę przycisku
„on”.
Torch light / Podświetlenie
By pressing either the red or the green button the light can be turned on, and
the clock can thus be used as a torch. Important: To work properly, the clock
should be used only at temperatures above freezing (0°C).
Podświetlenie można włączyć naciskając czerwony lub zielony przycisk, budzik
może służyć jako mała latarka. Ważne: Budzik będzie dobrze działał w
temperaturach powyżej 0 st. C.
Guarantee / Gwarancja
2 year guarantee against material and workmanship defects (except battery).
The guarantee is valid in those countries where the alarm clock is officially
being sold. Broken or cracked lens screens are not covered under the
guarantee.
