Keep these instruction manual in a safe place for future reference. If the device is sold or passed on,
the instruction manual must be passed on to any subsequent owner/user of the product.
4 General safety instructions
DANGER
Risk of an electric shock!
This device contains electronic parts that are powered by a power source (AC adapter and/or batter-
ies). Improper use of this product may result in electric shock. Electric shock can cause serious or fatal
injuries. It is therefore imperative that you observe the following safety information.

•Never leave children unattended when handling the device! Follow the instructions carefully and
do not attempt to power this device with anything other than power sources recommended in this
instruction manual, otherwise there is a danger of an electric shock!
• Disconnect the power supply by pulling the mains plug when the appliance is not in use, in case of
a longer interruption of operation and before any maintenance and cleaning work.
• Place your device so that it can be disconnected from the power supply at any time. The power
outlet should always be near your appliance and should be easily accessible, as the plug of the
power cord serves as a disconnect device from the mains supply.
• To disconnect the unit from the mains, always pull the mains plug and never pull the cable!
• Check this device, cables and connections for damage before use.
• Never attempt to operate a damaged device, or a device with damaged electrical parts! Damaged
parts must be replaced immediately by an authorized service agent.
• Operate the device only in a completely dry environment and do not touch the device with wet or
damp body parts.

Improper use of this product may result in suffocation, especially for children. It is therefore imperative
that you observe the following safety information.
• Keep packaging materials (plastic bags, rubber bands, etc.) away from children! There is a danger
of choking!
•This product contains small parts that can be swallowed by children! Choking hazard!

Explosion hazard!
Improper use of this product may result in fire. It is essential that you observe the following safety in-
formation in order to avoid fires.
• Do not expose the device to high temperatures. Use only the supplied AC adapter or the recom-
mended batteries. Do not short-circuit the device or batteries or dispose of in fire! Excessive heat
and improper handling can cause short circuits, fires and even explosions!
NOTICE
Danger of material damage!
Improper handling may result in damage to the unit and/or accessories. Therefore, use the device only
in accordance with the following safety information.
• Do not disassemble the device! In the event of a defect, please contact your dealer. They will con-
tact the Service Center and can arrange the return of this device for repair if necessary.
• Do not expose the device to high temperatures and protect it from water and high humidity.
• Do not immerse the unit in water!
• Do not subject the device to excessive vibrations.
• Only use accessories and spare parts for this device that comply with the technical specifications.
• Use only the recommended batteries. Always replace weak or empty batteries with a new, com-
plete set of batteries at full capacity. Do not use batteries from different brands or types or with dif-
ferent capacities. Remove batteries from the device if it is not to be used for a longer period of
time!
• Do not use rechargeable batteries (accumulators).

7Before commissioning
NOTICE
Avoid connection faults!
In order to avoid connection problems between the devices, the following points must be observed
during commissioning.
1. Place the base unit (receiver) and sensor (transmitter) as close together as possible.
2. Connect the power supply to the base unit and wait until the indoor temperature is displayed.
3. Establish power supply for the sensor.
4. Set up/operate the base unit and sensor within the effective transmission range.
5. Make sure that the base unit and the radio sensor are set to the same channel.
When changing the batteries, always remove the batteries from both the base unit and the sensor and
reinsert them in the correct order so that the radio link can be re-established. If one of the two devices
is operated via a mains power connection, the power connection must also be briefly disconnected for
this device when the batteries are changed. If, for example, only the batteries in the sensor are re-
placed, the signal may subsequently not be received at all or not be received correctly.
Note that the actual range depends on the respective construction materials used for the buildings as
well as the respective position of the base unit and the outdoor sensor. External influences (various ra-
dio transmitters and other sources of interference) can greatly reduce the possible range. In such
cases, we recommend finding other locations for both the base unit and the outdoor sensor. Some-
times moving the sensor by just a few centimeters is enough!
8 Power supply
NOTICE!The base unit can be operated both with the supplied power adapter or with batteries.
Base unit
1. Press and hold the locking button on the adapter fixture of the AC power adapter. At the same
time, insert the desired plug adapter into the adapter fixture and screw it in as far as it will go in the
"LOCK" direction . Release the locking knob.
2. Insert the DC barrel connector into the connection socket on the base unit.
ATTENTION! Make sure that the plug adapter is firmly and securely fastened in the adapter fix-
ture of the AC power adapter before proceeding!
3. Insert the AC power adapter with the previously mounted the plug into the power outlet.
4. The device is powered on directly.
5. Wait until indoor temperature is displayed on the base unit.
6. To replace the plug adapter, hold down the locking button and turn the plug adapter in the "OPEN"
direction and remove it from the adapter holder. Then perform step 1 to mount another plug ad-
apter.
NOTE: Alternatively, operation using batteries (2 x AAA/LR03) is also possible. The display
goes into sleep mode during battery operation and can be activated by pressing the snooze
button for approx. 15 sec. To do this, proceed as follows:
7. Remove the battery compartment cover.
8. Insert batteries into the battery compartment. Make sure that the batteries are correctly aligned
(+/- poles).
9. Replace the battery compartment cover.
10. Wait until indoor temperature is displayed on the base unit.

12. Insert the batteries into the battery compartment. Make sure that the batteries are correctly aligned
(+/- poles).
13. Move CH slider to the position for the desired transmission channel (setting CH1, CH2 or CH3 with
indication on the display).
NOTE: When operating an outdoor sensor, channel 1 is recommended as the default setting.
14. Replace the battery compartment cover.
9 Battery level indicator
1. When the level of the batteries in the base station or in the wireless sensor reaches a critical level,
the battery level symbol appears in the appropriate area on the display.
2. When replacing one set of batteries, always remove the batteries from the other part of the unit
and reinsert them in the correct order (see chapter "Setting up power supply"). Replace the batter-
ies to be changed in the corresponding part of the device with a completely new set with full capa-
city. This ensures that the connection between the devices will be reestablished again correctly.
10 Automatic time setting
After the power has been restored, the unit automatically searches for the radio signal. It takes ap-
proximately 3-8 minutes for this process to be completed.
If the radio signal is received correctly, the date and time are set automatically and the reception sym-
bol is displayed.
If no radio signal has been received, proceed as follows:
1. Press the UP button for approx. 2 seconds to initiate the reception of the radio signal again.
2. Press the UP button for approx. 2 seconds to initiate the reception of the radio signal again.
3. If still no radio signal is received, the time must be set manually.
11 Manual time setting
1. Press the [SET] key for approx. 2 seconds to enter the time setting mode.
2. Digits to be set are flashing.
3. Press [UP] or [DOWN] key to change the value.
4. Press the [SET] key to confirm and switch to the next setting.
5. Sequence of settings: 12/24 > time zone > hours > minutes > day/month display change > year >
month > day > language > temperature unit
6. Finally, press the [SET] key to save the settings and exit setting mode.
NOTICE!If no key has been pressed for 20 seconds, the setting mode is automatically exited.
The changes made up to that point are saved.
12 Alarm setting
Setting the alarm time
1. In the normal display mode, press the [SET] key repeatedly to switch to the alarm time display
(AL).
2. Press the [SET] key for about 2 seconds to enter the alarm time settings mode.
3. The digits to be set for the alarm time flash at the position where the time is displayed in the nor-
mal display mode.

4. Press [UP] or [DOWN] key to set the desired value.
5. Press the [SET] key to confirm and switch to the next setting.
6. Sequence of the settings: Hours > minutes
7. Finally, press the [SET] key to save the settings and exit settings mode.
Enable/disable the alarm
8. In the normal display mode, press the [SET] key repeatedly to switch to the alarm time display
(AL).
9. Press the [UP] or [DOWN] key to activate the wake-up call. The symbol is shown on the display.
10. Press the [UP] or [DOWN] key again to deactivate the wake-up call. The symbol is no longer
shown on the display.
13 Snooze function
1. When the alarm sounds, press the snooze/light key to activate the snooze function. The alarm
sounds again after 5 minutes.
2. When the alarm sounds, press any other key to stop the alarm until the set alarm time is reached
again.
3. If no key is pressed, the alarm is automatically switched off after 2 minutes.
NOTICE!The wake-up call starts with a short beep. Several short beeps follow if the wake-up
call is active for more than 20 minutes.
14 Temperature/humidity alert setting
1. Press and hold the [ALERT] key for about 3 seconds in the normal time display mode to enter the
temperature alarm setting mode.
2. Digits to be set are flashing.
3. Press [UP] or [DOWN] key to change the value.
4. Press the [ALERT] key to confirm and switch to the next setting.
5. Sequence of settings: Outdoor temperature upper limit > Outdoor temperature lower limit > Out-
door humidity upper limit > Outdoor humidity lower limit > Indoor temperature upper limit > Indoor
temperature lower limit > Indoor humidity upper limit > Indoor humidity lower limit > Exit.
6. If no setting has been made after 10 seconds, the temperature setting mode is automatically
closed. The settings made up to that point are saved.
Activate/deactivate temperature alarm
7. In the normal display mode, press the [ALERT] key to switch to the temperature alarm mode.
8. Press the [UP] or [DOWN] key to activate or deactivate the temperature alarm. The warning sym-
bol is displayed for the activated range.
9. If one of the set limit values is reached, the symbol for the temperature alarm flashes and a warn-
ing tone (two beeps per second) sounds for about 5 seconds. This is repeated at intervals of 1
minute each until the temperature falls below the limit value again.
10. When the alarm sounds, press any key to stop the alarm.
15 Receiving measurements automatically
Once the power supply is enabled, the base station will display the measurement readings for indoors.
Readings from the outdoor sensor will be displayed within 3 minutes after powering it on.
If no signal is received, proceed as follows:
Press the CH button for about 3 seconds to initate reception of measurements again.
