INTRODUCTION
To be used with a lap-sash seatbelt by a child whose shoulders are above the lower shoulder
height marker with head restraint in lowest position (approximately 4 years of age) until the
child’s shoulders reach the upper shoulder height marker with head restraint in highest position
(approximately 8 to 10 years of age).
Can also be used with child harness that is approved for use with this booster seat.
Continue to use this booster seat until the child reaches this limit. Children are safest in a
booster seat until their shoulders reach the upper shoulder height marker of the booster seat.
Do not use this booster seat until child’s shoulders are above the lower shoulder height marker.

Carefully read all of the instructions for installation in this book. If in doubt about the method
of installation, consult Britax Childcare or agent or a child restraint fitter or, in New Zealand,
consult the agent for the vehicle.
This booster seat can be used by a child whom has reached the upper shoulder height marker
of their forward facing child seat. It may be suitable for a child of approx 4 yrs old progressing
from rearward facing child restraint. Ensure the child's shoulders are above the lower height
marker of this booster seat to enable use.
This booster seat should be used until the child no longer fits in this seat or the child can sit in
the car’s seat with their lower legs able to hang over the car's seat cushion.
This Booster Seat is fitted with the VERSATETHER™ catch that allows it to be used with an
approved child harness. This booster seat is suitable for use with the following child harness:
Britax Safe-n-Sound Protecta PLUS™ Series 220/2013.
This booster seat is not designed to be reclined.
THIS RESTRAINT MUST BE USED IN CARS WITH FORWARD-FACING SEATS WITH A
LAP-SASH SEATBELT OR WITH A SEATBELT AND CHILD HARNESS.
THIS RESTRAINT MUST BE ATTACHED TO A CHILD RESTRAINT UPPER ANCHORAGE
POINT IN THE CAR. REFER TO CAR OWNER'S HANDBOOK FOR LOCATION OF UPPER
ANCHORAGE POINTS. REFER TO A CHILD RESTRAINT FITTING STATION IF NO UPPER
ANCHORAGE POINTS ARE IN THE MOTOR CAR.
No child restraint can guarantee absolute protection from injury in every crash. However, to
ensure that your child gets all the protection designed into the restraint PLEASE READ AND
FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY.
This child restraint is not suitable for use on an aircraft.
This instruction book is stored in the pocket on the rear of the booster seat. This is a
shared pocket with the top tether strap.

• DO NOT USE WITH JUST A LAP BELT. You must use with lap-sash seat belt, or with a
seat belt and child harness.
• The lap part of the seatbelt must be firmly across the thighs and the sash belt fitted
diagonally across the chest and on the shoulder.
• If used with a child harness, the lap belt must be adjusted firmly first, and then the harness,
so that the lap belt is not lifted off the child’s lap when the harness is adjusted.
• Use the restraint exactly as shown in the instructions.
• Supervision of children is needed because they may be able to undo the buckles and/or
special features.
• DO NOT LEAVE CHILDREN UNATTENDED IN THE CAR
• Do not alter or modify this restraint.
• Repairs must only be done by the manufacturers or agent.
• Do not allow the restraint to come into contact with polishes, oils, bleach and other
chemicals.
• Destroy the restraint if it has been in a severe crash, even if no damage is visible.
• DO NOT USE THIS RESTRAINT WITHOUT THE COVER.
• IF AN AIRBAG IS FITTED IN THE SEATING POSITION WHERE THE CHILD RESTRAINT
IS TO BE FITTED, FOLLOW THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURER’S WARNINGS AND
INSTRUCTIONS.
• The child in the seat must not slump or slouch such that the lap belt is on the abdomen.
The lap belt on the abdomen is dangerous. The lap belt positioning SecureGuard™ Anti
Submarining Device must always be used.
• Always secure the loose end of the top tether strap. Do not use the child restraint where this
strap may fall into a split in the seat back or off the side of the seat.
• ALWAYS ATTACH HOOK AND REMOVE SLACK.
• VERSATETHER - ONLY USE FOR ATTACHMENT OF CHILD HARNESS.
• DO NOT ATTACH THIS CHILD RESTRAINT TO ANY ISOFIX LOW ANCHORAGE. ISOFIX
low anchorage is cars are designed to withstand only those loads imposed by children aged
up to approximately 4 years of age in a correctly fitted and approved ISOFIX compatible
child restraint.
• This child restraint is not approved for use with any connectors that connect to the car's
ISOFIX low anchorages.
