◤Chapter 2: Main Interface
2-1. Interface Overview
①Menu Bar
■ Contains basic file options such as create new, save, etc. (see Chapter 2-2).
②General Settings
■ Click on the Gear Icon to change the properties of the general settings (see Chapter 2-3).
③Controller Panel / Other Input
■ Click [Controller Panel] or [Other Input] to select a button or a wire input for setting (see Chapter 3-1).
④Profile Setting
■ Shows a list of current profiles for the selected button / wire input. Click on a profile to view settings.
(see Chapter 3-2).
⑤Settings and Variables
■ Shows current settings and variables for the selected button / wire input. (see Chapter 4).

2-2. Menu Bar
①Create New Configuration
■ Click to start a new configuration / setting. (see Chapter 1-4)
②Open Existing Configuration
■ Click to select an existing configuration and setting file (.sdp2) from the host PC.
③Import from Siren Unit
■ Disconnect the siren from its power source prior to connecting it to the PC via a USB --> USB-C cable.
■ Click to read and load the unit’s configuration / settings to the host PC.
■ Do not disconnect the Controller Module while reading is in progress.
■ If the siren system is not connected, this button will be unavailable.
④Export to Siren Unit
■ Disconnect the siren from its power source prior to connecting it to the PC via a USB → USB-C cable.
■ Click to export current configuration / settings to the connected Siren Unit.
■ If the siren system is not connected, this button will be unavailable.
■ Do not disconnect the Siren Unit while burning is in progress.
■ If burning failed, click on [Show Details] to see the error message.
⑤Save
■ Click to save the current configuration / setting file to the host PC for future use.

2-3. General Setting
①Button Backlight Default
■ Drag the slider to adjust the default intensity of the button backlighting. This value will
be applied only when no other backlight intensity is applied by any other button or wire input.
■ If 0% is selected, RED backlight will be set at 10% while Green backlight is set to 0%.
②IGN Shutdown Delay
■ Click to select a shutdown delay when the Ignition Activation is deactivated / turned off; the Siren Unit
will remain active during the Shutdown Delay period, turning off once the timer reaches the set value.
③Software Version
■ Shows the current version of your SDP212 Siren Amplifier Configuration Tool.

◤Chapter 3: Button/Input and Profile
3-1. Panel Button and Other Inputs
①Controller Panel
■ Push-Buttons
Each button can hold an OFF profile and one to four ON profile(s).
By default, all Push Buttons start-up in OFF profile upon restart.
■ PTT Button
PTT Button can only hold an OFF and one ON profile, which are activated by pressing / releasing the
button.
■ 4-position Slide Switch
Each position can hold an ON or OFF profile. (i.e., from left to right: OFF, ON, ON2, ON3)
Four positions and their respective ON profiles are mutually exclusive.
②Other Inputs
■ Load Management
This Load Management can hold an OFF profile and one to four ON profile(s).

Detects current / main input power voltage and changes its profile based on that voltage value.
This input is often used for battery low voltage protection.
■ Logic Input
Each logic Input can hold an OFF profile and one to four ON profile(s).
By default, all Push Buttons start-up in OFF profile upon restart.
■ Analog Input
This Analog Input can hold an OFF profile and one to four ON profile(s).
Detects current wire input voltage and changes its profile based on that voltage value.
■ PTT Input
This Input is triggered via PTT Button on the connected Microphone and can only hold an OFF and
one ON profile, which are operated by pressing / releasing the button.

3-2. Profile Setting
Each profile can store a set of INPUT and OUTPUT actions.
The method of changing the profile is based on the property settings of the respective panel button and
other Input settings (see Chapter 4).

■ Click on copy icon
■ Click on delete icon to delete an additional ON profile. OFF profile and the last remaining ON profile
cannot be deleted. (at least one ON profile must be retained)

◤Chapter 4: Settings and Variables
4-1. Overview
①Properties
■ Change the settings of each button / function wire input (see Chapter 4-2).
②Inputs
■ Change the Input actions for each Profile state of each button / wire input (see Chapter 4-3).
③Outputs
■ Change output actions for each Profile state of each button / wire input (see Chapter 4-4).
④Tone
■ Change tone actions for each Profile state of each button / wire input (see Chapter 4-5).
⑤Priorities
■ Change precedence of each button / wire input (see Chapter 5).
4-2. Properties
①Name
Key in a name in the cell to rename the button; this name will be used to refer to this button / input for
the remainder of the setting process.
②Abbreviation and Icon
■ For Panel Buttons
Key in an abbreviation, or select an icon from the Icon from the Icon List below the abbreviation field.
■ For Other Inputs
Key in an abbreviation that will show in the abbreviation field as well as on the Button.

③Trigger VOLT (available on selective inputs only)
■[VOLT+]: Trigger this input wire via +VDC switching.
■[VOLT-]: Trigger this input wire via –GROUND switching.
④Button Mode
Each button/input is assigned a "button mode". The button’s operation and setting variables are based
on the button mode. Button modes other than [GENERAL] allow special operations /functions:
■ [MAN]:
Use for activating MANUAL Tone, Override Tone, and/or changing HF Tone.
Capable of holding an OFF, and one ON profile.
Can only be set to Press On, Release Off.
Only one button or one wire may be set to this Mode.
■ [Horn-ring Transfer]:
Use for activating Air Horn Tone, and/or Changing HF Tone.
Capable of holding an OFF, and one ON profile.
Can only be set to Press On, Release Off (momentary).
Only one button or one wire can be set to this Mode.
■ [Hand-Free]:
Use for Hand-Free Mode.
Can hold a list of HF tones, up to 8 tones.
Capable of holding an OFF, and one ON profile.
Can only be set to Press On, Press Off (momentary).
Only one button or one wire can be set to this Mode.
■ [Mixer]:
Use for activating Dual Tone effect, where the siren speakers each deliver two siren tones
simultaneously.
Only one button or one wire can be set to this Mode.

■ [Record-n-Play]:
Use for recording and playing a short message through the siren speaker(s). (up to 20
seconds)
Capable of holding an OFF, and one ON profile.
Can only be set to Long Record & Press Play.
Only one button or one wire may be set to this Mode.
Can set the number of times the message is played (looped).
● Recording Operation:
1. Press & hold the button for 3 seconds; button will display in RED.
2. Hold microphone to speaking position, press & hold PTT button to start recording
(up to 20 seconds).
3. Release PTT button to finish recording; button will display in GREEN.
4. Press the button once to replay.
■ [Volume Adj.]:
Use for Adjusting Volume Levels of PA, Siren and/or Radio Re-broadcasting.
Capable of holding an OFF, and one ON profile.
Can only be set to Press On, Press Off.
■ [Volume Set]:
Use for Setting specified Volume Levels of PA, Siren and/or Radio Re-broadcasting.
Only one button or one wire may be set to this Mode.
■ [MIC]:
Use for activating Microphone for PA Broadcast through the siren speaker.
Only available on PTT button.

⑤Profile Cycle
NOTE: Only available when “Double Press Off” or “Hold Off” switch type is selected.
■[One Way]
Profile will progress in OFF > ON > ON2 > ON3 > ON4 (whenever applicable).
Unless amended by other means (e.g. other button or input action), profile will not cycle back to OFF
profile.
If Switch type is in “Double Press Off” or “Hold Off”, use the respective method to advance to OFF
profile.
■[Cycle]
Profile will progress in OFF > ON > ON2 > ON3 > ON4 > OFF > ON > ON2 > … (wherever
applicable).
⑥Restart Save Status
NOTE: Not available with Release Off switch type.
■[Don’t Save]:
Starts up in OFF profile upon restart.
■[Save]:
Save its profile status upon powering off the unit, starts back up in that profile upon restart.
⑦Off Delay
■ Drag the slider to set a delay time when the input is amended to OFF profile.
⑧Repeat Time
NOTE: Available for Record-n-Play button Mode only.
■ Set the number of times the Record-n-Play message is looped / repeated.

⑨Switch Type
■ Each button can be set as one of the following switch types:
■[Disabled]:
Disable this button and turn off all functions activated by this button.
■[Press On, Release Off]
■[Press On, Press Off]
■[Press On, Double Press Off]
■[Press On, Hold Off]
■[Press On, Timer Off]:
Set a Count-down Timer from 0.5 to 60 seconds that turns OFF upon time-out.
■[Double Press On, Timer Off]:
Set a Count-down Timer from 0.5 to 60 seconds that turns OFF upon time-out.
■[Analog]
Sampling Time:
Select a time period from 20 to 200 mili-seconds for sampling each incoming voltage.
Ascending voltage trip point (threshold):
Set trip point for each Profile during ascending voltage.
Descending voltage trip point (threshold):
Set trip point for each Profile during descending voltage.

4-3. Input Actions
Each profile offers a set of actions to amend the status of other inputs upon the activation of the profile.
①[Controller Panel] and [Other Input]
■ Select to show the list of Buttons or Other Inputs.
②Action
■[None]: No action performed.
■[Go to Next Profile]: Advance the profile of the input to the next profile setting.
■[Set to OFF]: Turn the profile of the input to OFF.
■[Set to ON]: Turn the profile of the input to ON.
■[Set to ON2]~[Set to ON4]: Turn the profile of the input to the particular profile.

4-4. Output Actions
Each profile can select a set of actions for the Wire Output and Controller LEDs throughout the duration of
the activation of the profile.
①Wire Output
Each profile contains a set of selectable actions to turn ON or OFF for each OUTPUT throughout the
duration of activation.
■[None]: No action performed.
■[Turn ON]: Turns the output ON.
■[Turn OFF]: Turns the output OFF.
②TA Indicator
Set the display mode for TA Indicator Light on your Controller:
■[None] Does not perform any action.
■[Off] OFF override.
■[Left] TA Indicator displays progression from the right to the left.
■[Moving Right] TA Indicator displays progression from the left to the right.
■[Center-out] TA Indicator displays progression from the middle, out to both sides.
■[Warning Mimic] TA indicator mimics active warning pattern.

③Backlight
Each button / input, regardless of the number of profiles, can store an override Backlight brightness for the
controller. The brightness will be applied throughout the duration of the activation of its ON profile.
■Check Box: Check to allow overriding of brightness on this button / input.
■Intensity Setting:
Red Light (ON): select a brightness level for ON~ON4 profile; cannot be set below 10% brightness.
Green Light (OFF): select a brightness level for OFF profile.

4-5. Tone Actions
Based on the button mode, the available Tone Actions may vary.
①Siren Speaker
Select the desired action for the two speaker output.
■[None]: Does not perform any action; disregard any selected tone in Tone Setting.
■[Turn ON]: Turn the tone action ON; must select at least (1) tone setting from the Tone Setting list.
■[Turn OFF]: Turn the tone action OFF; disregard any selected tone in Tone Setting.
②Controller Buzzer
Select the desired action for the controller buzzer output.
■[None]: By default, a short beep will activate upon press and release of a push button.
■[Long Beep]: Produces a long, uninterrupted beep during the ON profile of a push button.
■[Turn Off]: Turns OFF all default short beeps.
■[Continuous Beep]: Activate a continuous beep during the ON profile of a push button; an interval time
must be selected.
③Tone Chart
Shows a list of selectable tones available.
NOTE: Does not affect any settings unless selected and set to a Tone Setting slot on the right.

④Tone Setting
Based on the button mode, the available Tone Actions may be different.
■[General]:
a. Primary Tone
Select a Tone to be broadcasted when activated.
b. Override Tone
Select a Tone to be broadcasted when activated with “Tone Change” function (i.e. MAN or Horn-Ring
Transfer button/input).
c. Mixer Tone
Select a Tone to be broadcasted when activated with “Mixer” function (i.e. Mixer button/input).
d. Finish Style
Select a finish style when this button/input is deactivated.
Instant Cut
Stops the Tone immediately.
Complete Cycle
Stops the Tone after completing a tone cycle.
e. Volume
Set a broadcast volume for this button/input.
■[MAN]:
a. Primary Tone
Select a Tone to be broadcasted when activated.
b. Finish Style
Select a finish style when this button/input is deactivated.
Instant Cut
Stops the Tone immediately.
Complete Cycle
Stops the Tone after completing a tone cycle.
