Safety First
•Please call a BTEK authorized service provider for service or repairs.
•Ensure that the area used for this equipment, is safe for this equipment.
•Allow only qualified personnel to work on electric / electronic components.
•Do not use this equipment for anything other than its intended use.
•Ensure equipment is plugged into stable power sources.
•Keep equipment away from high voltage, vibration, and high draft areas.
•Keep equipment cords and cables secured and protected.
•Perform periodic inspections to keep equipment in good working order.
•Never apply a load over the capacity of your scale.
•Keep the area around your scale free of debris.
SAFETY WARNING
Always unplug or remove power source from equipment before cleaning with water
unless it has been installed by professionals that determine otherwise.
After cleaning is done always ensure equipment is completely dry before returning to
or plugging into power source unless it has been installed by professionals that determine

Introduction
The information provided in this manual is a guide on installing the B-TEK, LLC. Monorail series
scale. This document is intended as a guide only, the actual installation should only be
performed by qualified personnel.
All sales of goods are subject to the standard warranty and the standard terms and conditions
published by B-TEK, LLC.
Should you have any questions regarding the B-TEK Monorail scale, contact your local B-TEK,
LLC. scale representative.

Indicator Wiring
The above diagram covers BTEK indicators cables and summing
boards that are or can be used with the monorail scale.
If an indicator outside the ones listed in the above diagram is being
used, use the supplied manual for that indicator to get the correct
terminal wiring specs.

Installation
NOTES:
The BTEK Monorail Scale should be installed by a professional. It is
important to ensure that when installed, the unit is structurally sound,
it is advised to consult with building maintenance and or structural
engineers to ensure proper installation to rails and ceiling structure.
The monorail should be installed as level as possible.
It is also recommended that the monorail be installed on straight rails
and not on a turn or curve.
Dead rails: Attaches to existing rail
with splice bolts or welding.
Live rail: Scale portion of the monorail.
Additional Support Brackets: Typically used with all thread and is
mounted to a solid permanent structure above the scale. Please consult
with building engineer or other qualified personnel to ensure structure
mounting integrity.
