Description+
We!have!become!aware!of!a!potential!hazard!with!SimpliMet!™!XPS1!Mounting!Press!manufactured!between!
September!1,!2012!and!April!12,!2016,!with!serial!numbers!XPS1-00101!to!XPS1-00890.!!This!problem!may!manifest!
itself!in!a!bolt!failure!in!the!mold!assembly!mechanism,!which!may!result!in!the!possible!ejection!of!the!sheared!bolt.!!

The!containment!cover!assembly!included!with!this!kit!is!designed!to!encapsulate!the!mold!assembly!and!bolts!in!the!
event!of!a!failure.!

1. Open!the!upper!mold!closure!mechanism.!
!
Note:!For!information!about!how!to!close!the!mold!
mechanism,!refer!to!the!Operator’s!Manual!or!download!

2. Hold!on!to!the!rear!of!the!cover!with!both!hands.!!
Apply!the!cover!assembly!by!pressing!the!
containment!cover!all!the!way!forward!against!
the!lower!mold!mechanism.!

3. Align!the!containment!cover!with!lower!mold!
mechanism!and!the!mold!closure!post.!
!
!
!
!
!
4. Once!correctly!aligned,!the!magnets!will!securely!
snap!the!containment!cover!into!place.!

8. In!order!to!remove!the!containment!cover!for!
maintenance!or!mold!cleaning,!open!the!upper!
mold!closure!mechanism!and!then!lift!the!rear!
corners!of!the!cover.!!Reinstall!the!cover!before!
use.!
