Operating Instructions
Follow this manual and proceed in accordance with
the application conditions and specification data of
the device, as referred to in the data sheets. The
position indicator shall be integrated into the process
according to the general technical guidelines. Take
appropriate actions in order to avoid unintended
operation or mutual interference in the process.
Strict observance of these conditions by the user
ensures a reliable operation and a long service life.
Specific Use
The position indicator 1062 is designed for use to
electrical position feedback and optical position
indication. It can be fitted with the Bürkert valves
2000, 2001, 2002, 2030 and 2031.
Safety Rules
Safety rules must be observed. The position
indicator should be connected by trained staff only.
Caution: Disconnect voltage before opening any
position indicator! Do not switch the valve as long as
open - danger of injury !

LED green: Valve open
red: Valve closed
Yellow: Voltage indicator
Ambient temp.:-20 to +60 °C
Protection class: IP 65 (DIN 40 050)
Certification: Mechanic and inductive switching
elements according to VDE, IEC, UL, CSA. Inductive
NAMUR-switch element in Ex i.

Assembling Instructions

Plug PG
• • Unfasten grub screw 
then carefully remove spindle 
from the body.
O-Ring
POSITION FEEDBACK 1062
••The spindle of valves in control function
B is already in the upper position.
Valves in control function A or I shall thus
be pressurized, that the valve spindle
remains on top.
(The valve shall be pressurized during the
entire installation time).
Unscrew transparent cover .
Unscrew signal cover 
with Allen key.
••Only valve 2031 with C (40 mm) actuator:
Remove cover then indicator .
Install cover  supplied with the 1062.




•• Connect guiding piece of spindle 
into valve cover .
Fasten spindle with
the valve spindle .
•• Carefully place body upon
guiding piece , rotate into
required direction and fix with
grub screw .

• Unscrew cover  .
• Pull cable through PG
cable gland , peel-off 100 mm
from the cable and connect
according to wiring diagram
(see next page).
• Install cable into guide on bottom
of body .
Fasten PG cable gland .
• Screw back cover .
•• Only valve 2031 with C actuator:
Label specification tag .
If the position feedback indicator in operation
should be changed to another valve, set both
trip cams to the distances shown in the figure.
•• NOT valve 2031 with C actuator:
Label specification tag .
Stroke must not be adjusted (self-adjusting).
In case the position feedback indicator in operation
should be changed to another valve, set the lower
trip cam to the height of 35.5 mm.
