3 AUTHORIZED USE
Non-authorized use of the ow controller Type 8750 may be
a hazard to people, nearby equipment and the environment.
▶Thedeviceisdesignedasasimplesystemfordetermining
andcontrollingthevolumetricowrateofgases.
▶Donotexposethedevicetodirectsunlight.
▶Donotusethedeviceoutdoors.
▶Useaccordingtotheauthorizeddata,operatingconditions,
andconditionsofusespeciedinthecontractdocuments
andoperatinginstructions.ThesearedescribedinChapter
“7Technicaldata”.
▶Usethedeviceonlyinconjunctionwiththird-partydevices
andcomponentsrecommendedandauthorizedbyBürkert.

6 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
6.1 General description
TheuidowratecontrollerType8750isacompletesystemfor
measuringandcontrollingthevolumeowofgasesaccordingtothe
dierentialpressureprinciple.ThesystemconsistsofanELEMENT
controlvalveType2301withtheprocesscontrollerType8693as
wellastwopressuresensors.Itissuppliedasafullyassembled
systemincludingspecialhousing.

•Buscommunication(EtherNet/IP,PROFINET,PRO-
FIBUSDPV1,ModbusTCP)

•Theowcontrollerissuppliedwithacongurationforthe

Thepressuredropismeasuredbythecontrolvalveas“mea-
suringorice”.Themeasuredpressuredierencecanbeused
tocalculatethenominalvolumeowofthemediumforagiven
densityandtemperature.Forthispurpose,theowcharacteristic
ofthecontrolvalveissavedintheprocesscontroller.
