Your Speaker Dock should be treated with care. The information below has been
provided in the interest of safety and will help you to enjoy this product and the
benefits it brings for many years.
• Keep the product and all its parts out of reach of small children.
• This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Keep it dry. Avoid exposure to precipitation, humidity and liquids which could all
aect the product circuitry.
• Do NOT leave it in high temperatures as electronic devices and plastic parts may
warp in heat.
• Do NOT leave it in low temperatures as moisture can form inside the product,
which may damage the circuit board.
• Do NOT block or cover slots, holes or openings on the product by placing on soft
furnishings such as carpets, rugs or beds as these are provided for functionality
and/or ventilation to ensure safe operation of the product
• Do NOT store in dusty or dirty areas.
• Disconnect your Speaker Dock from the mains power supply during
thunderstorms.
• Always check that you have completely switched o your Speaker Dock, before
you change or disconnect the power supply.
• Only use the power supply that came with the product. Using an unauthorised
power supply will invalidate your guarantee and may irrecoverably damage the
product.
• Where the mains power plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect
device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
• Do NOT attempt to open the product. This product does not contain any user
serviceable parts. Unauthorised handling of the device may damage it and will void
your warranty.
• Do NOT use your Speaker Dock near emergency/intensive care medical
equipment; if you have a pacemaker fitted or during an electrical storm.
• Do NOT use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents or detergents to clean the
product. Wipe with a damp (not wet) soft cloth to clean.

What’s in the box?

Where to put your speaker dock
It is important that you consider carefully in advance where your product will be
situated and make sure that it is:
• on a flat and stable surface
• within 1.4 metres of a power socket
• away from bright sunlight or heat sources, such as a radiator
• not in a humid or very damp place such as a bathroom
Setting up
1. Connect the mains power lead into the socket on the back of the dock and plug
the power adaptor into the mains power wall socket and switch on.
2. Switch on the power button on the back of the dock and then press the ‘Standby/
Mode’ button on the top of the speaker dock.
3. Briefly press the ‘Standby/Mode’ button to switch between ‘iPod’ and ‘Aux in’
mode.
• iPod mode: The LED on the front of the product will be blue.
• Aux in mode: The LED on the front on the product will be red. Please
see Page 7 for ‘Aux in’ mode.
4. Open the cover on the top of the speaker dock to reveal the iPod / iPhone / iPad
dock connector.
5. In ‘iPod’ mode, line up the connector on the bottom of your iPod / iPhone /
iPad with the dock connector on the top of the speaker dock and push down to
connect. The dock will begin to charge your iPod / iPhone / iPad, if necessary, and
will begin to play the music stored on your iPod / iPhone / iPad.
Charging will stop automatically when your iPod / iPhone / iPad is fully charged
(check your iPod / iPhone / iPad display).
Note: Care should be taken when connecting your iPod / iPhone / iPad to the dock
connector on your speaker dock product to avoid damage. Please ensure to line up
your iPod / iPhone / iPad with the dock connector before pushing down.

Switch on/o
To turn the speaker dock on:
• Press the on/o switch on the back of the speaker dock to ‘On’ and press the
‘Standby/Mode’ button on the top of the speaker dock. The product will switch on.
To turn the speaker dock o:
• Press and hold the ‘Standby/Mode’ button for approximately 5 seconds to go to
‘Standby’ mode. The mode LED on the front of the speaker dock will turn o.
• To switch o your product, press the on/o switch on the back of the speaker
dock to ‘O’. The product will switch o.
Note: To completely disconnect your speaker dock product, please switch o the
mains power at the plug socket.
Changing modes
Briefly press the ‘Standby/Mode’ button to switch between ‘iPod’ and ‘Aux in’ modes.
• iPod mode: The LED on the front of the product will be blue.
• Aux in mode: The LED on the front of the product will be red.
Docking an iPod / iPhone / iPad
Note: If you use a cover with your iPod / iPhone / iPad, please remove it before
attempting to dock your product.
• Open the cover on the top of the speaker dock to reveal the iPod / iPhone / iPad
dock connector.
• In ‘iPod’ mode, line up the connector on the bottom of your iPod / iPhone / iPad
with the dock connector and press down to connect. The dock will begin to play
the music on your iPod / iPhone / iPad.
To remove your iPod / iPhone / iPad from the dock:
• Press and hold the ‘Standby/Mode’ button for approximately 5 seconds to go to
‘Standby’ mode. The mode LED on the front of the speaker dock will turn o.
• Grip the iPod / iPhone / iPad by the sides and pull up.
• Press the cover switch on the top of the speaker dock to release the cover, which
can then be folded down over the dock connector.

Charging an iPod / iPhone / iPad
When an iPod / iPhone / iPad is docked, the iPod / iPhone / iPad will begin to charge
automatically.
Notes:
The iPod / iPhone / iPad will charge when the speaker dock is connected to mains
power, including in ‘Standby’ mode. Charging will stop when your iPod / iPhone / iPad
is fully charged. (Check your iPod / iPhone / iPad display).
If you use a cover with your iPod / iPhone / iPad, please remove it before attempting to
dock your product.
Playing from a docked iPod / iPhone / iPad:
You can use the controls on your iPod / iPhone / iPad as normal when it is docked with
your speaker dock.
Adjusting the volume
• To increase the volume: Press the ‘Vol +’ button on the top of the speaker dock.
• To decrease the volume: Press the ‘Vol -’ button on the top of the speaker dock.
Note:
If you experience problems with playback from your Apple product, please ensure that
it has been updated with the latest software version
Aux in mode
Using the Aux in socket on the back of the speaker dock you can connect an external
sound source with a Line or Headphone analogue output to play through your speaker
dock.
These may include -
• iPod, iPhone or iPad models that cannot be docked to the unit
• MP3 players
• CD or tape walkmans
• Personal computers or laptops
Connecting to the Audio Input jack
In Aux in mode, connect a 3.5mm Audio Input cable (not included), between the
headphone or LINE/AUX output of the personal audio player and the Aux in socket on
the back of the speaker dock.
To gain optimal volume levels, adjust the output volume level on both the external
secondary device and on your speaker dock.

If you are experiencing problems with your speaker dock there are some quick and
easy checks that you can do, which may help to solve the problem.
Problem Solution
No sound/low volume: • Adjust the volume using the Vol + button.
• Check that the mains power lead is connected at the
back of the product, the mains power wall socket is
switched on, the speaker dock is switched on at the
back, you have pressed the ‘Standby/Mode’ button
and are in ‘iPod’ mode.
• Check that your iPod / iPhone / iPad is switched on
and that a music track is selected and playing.
• Check that your iPod / iPhone / iPad is not paused.
• Remove your iPod / iPhone / iPad and then reconnect
it.
• In ‘Aux in’ mode, check that the volume control is
turned up on the external source
Your iPod / iPhone /
iPad does not dock
• If you use a cover with your iPod / iPhone / iPad,
please remove it before attempting to dock your
product.
• Remove your iPod / iPhone / iPad and check that the
connector on the dock and your iPod / iPhone / iPad
are clean and free from obstructions.
Your iPod / iPhone /
iPad is not charging
• Check that the mains power lead is connected at the
back of the product, the mains power wall socket is
switched on and the speaker dock is switched on at
the back.
• If you use a cover with your iPod / iPhone / iPad,
please remove it before attempting to dock your
product.
• Check that your iPod / iPhone / iPad has been pushed
fully home onto the dock connector.
