ANTENNA CONNECTION
Connectyour aerial to theback of theTV into the
ANTENNA IN socket.
IMPROVE YOUR SIGNAL
Toimprove picturequality in apoor signal area, use a
signal amplifier (not supplied).
CONNECT YOUR PC TO THE TV
You can use your TV as amonitor for your personal
computer by connecting it with aVGAcable(not
supplied).
Read your computer user guideand check it has a

Turnthepower o on your TV and PC.

remote control
Battery installation
Placetheremote control facedown, then open theA
cover of thebattery compartment.
Install twoAAA batteries. (The+ and - symbol ofB
thebattery must match with themarkson the
remote).

Battery caution
Confirm thereis no objectbetween theremote control
and theremote sensor of theTV set.
Sunshine or other strong lightwill interferewith the
signal sent by theremote control. In this situation turn
theTV set to avoid thedirectlightsource.
Do not puttheremote control in directheat or in a
damp placeas you may damage theremote.
Please use twoAAA 1.5V batteries. Do not mix battery
types. Install thebatteries at thecorrectpolarities.
Do not use rechargeablebatteries. If your TV is to be
stored for aperiod of time, remove thebatteries from
theremote control.

Location
You will need to placeyour TV near your plugsocket (so the
power cablecan comfortably reach) and within reach of your
aerial socket or extension lead.
Connection
Insertyour TV aerial lead into theAntenna inputat theA
sideof theTV.
Insertthebatteries into theremote control. Makesure

they areinserted therightway around, matching the
polarity as indicated insidethebattery compartment.
Switching your TV on
Press theASTANDBY button on therightsideof theTV
once. Ared ashing lightwill appear in thecorner of the
screen.
Press
BSTANDBY on theremote control. TheTV will turn
on and thered lightwill turnblue. This may takeafew
moments.
Selectyour chosen language when prompted from the

list that will appear on screen. Use the button to
scroll to thelanguage you want and press OK button to
confirm.
TUNING YOUR TV

Choose 16:9 when you want to adjust thepicture
horizontally, in alinear proportion to fill theentire

Choose Widewhen you want to adjust thepicture
in anon-linear proportion, that is, moreenlarged
at top sides and no alteration at bottom side.
Zoom1t
Choose Zoom1 when you want to view thepicture
withoutany alteration. However, thetop and
bottom portions of thepicturewill becropped.
Zoom2t
Choose Zoom2 when you want thepictureto be
altered, both vertically extended and cropped.

alteration and screen coverage.

enter thepassword. Theinitial password of the
television is 0000. If you forget your password, you
can alwaysinput9443 to regain control.
Change PasswordV
PressA button to selectChange Password
item. Press button to enter thesubmenu.
When you have inputted thefour digits you

Child LockV
Press button to selectChild Lock.
Press button to set On orO mode. If lock on
modeis set, Child Lock is in activated automatically.
In such case, if Child Lock button (button on the
television) is pressed, thescreen will display Child
Lock, which can beerased by press ofMENU button.
5 secondslater after thelatest press, thescreen
display will disappear automatically. TheChild Lock
modecan beresumed by entering Lock Set menu, set
Child Lock On orO.
Tuning LockV
Press to selectTuner Lock and to set On/
O. (Toset On, someoperation such as search will
benot available. When enter theTuning menu, Tuner
Lock will beon thescreen. If you want to operate
Tuning menu, you need to enter theLock menu to set
Tuner Lock O or operate unlock.)
Source setV
Sourceset is opted for setting up startsource.
Press button to selectO, TV, DTV, SCART,
Component , PC, HDMI , USB in turn. DVDis available
for somemodel.

Channel NO. is opted for setting up preset channel.
Press button to selectpreset Channel. Press
button to selectchannel number.
Source LockV
SourceLock will control theOn or O of hinder
external inputmodes.
Press button to set as on or o.
When thesourcelock is set as on, TV sourcewill
display, at this time, when press SOURCE button,
theTV can switch to corresponding sourceand will
display theSourceis locked.

menu is set, current volumewill becomeset maximum
volume, if current volumeis below maximum volume,
customer set volumewill stay unchanged.
Initial VolumeV
TheTV will remember it after your setting, that will be
thevolumewhen turnon theTV nexttime.
Clear LockV
Press button to selectclear lock mode. Press
button to clear lock all set modes, setting all lock
options to o, and themaximum volumereturns to
100.
Parental LockV
PressAMENU button on theremote control.,then
press button to selectTuning menu, press
button to enter thesub-menu.

PressASUBTITLE button on theremote control,
theSubtitlelanguages menu will bedisplayed.

B button to set theitem SUBTITLE
or OFF, and press OK button to enter. You can
press theEXIT button to cancel thechanges at
anytime.
Note
PressOSUBTITLE button on theremote, it will
display subtitlelanguages menu only in the
DTV mode.
CH.LIST FunctionV
Press CH.LIST button on theremote control theTV will
display Channel List menu.
In TV mode, press button to selectthechannel, and
then press OK button to enter,then you can edit the

In DTV mode, press button to selectthechannel,
and then press OK button to enter .
GUIDE FunctionV
Press GUIDE button on theremote control, will

SleepV
Thesleep timer automatically shuts o theTV after a
preset time(from 5 to 240 minutes).
Press the
ASleep button and then the"Sleep Left
Time" will bediaplayed on thescreen.
Press the
BSleep button again,you can set the
Sleep time.
When you aresatisfied with your choice, press

MENU button to returnto thepreviousmenu or
press theEXIT button to returnto TV viewing.

AUDIO/I/IIV
Press AUDIO button on theremote control, will
display Audio Languages menu.
Press button to selectthedesired settings and
press OK button to enter.
You can press theEXIT button to cancel thechanges

Note
PressOAUDIO button on theremote, it will
display Audio Languages menu only in theDTV
mode.
Eliminate SoundV
When you need to pay attention to surrounded
sounds, or thereis atelephone calling you
or therearesomeguests visiting you, thesound
elimination (mute) function is very convenient.
Press theAMUTE button on theremote control and
“Mute” typefacewill display on thelower partof
thescreen. At this Time, thesound of theTV set is
turned o.
If you want to recover thesound, press the
BMUTE
button again .
Quick program viewV
This function enables quick swap to thelast watched
program. Press Q.view button, and theTV will beback
to theTV source, expectin theUSB and DVDsource.
Suppose thechannel number you used just now
A
is 8 and thechannel number you areusing is 18
(as shownin thefigure).
If you want to returnto thelast watched programB
channel 8, you can simply press theQ.View button.
If you want to returnto channel 18, press theC
button again. Use this function, you can easily
change between thechannel you areusing and
thechannel you used last Time.

Teletext functions
Teletextis an information system, broadcast by certain
channels, which can beread likeanewspaper. It also
provides subtitles for peoplewith hearing difficulties or
those whoareunfamiliar with thelanguage in which a
particular program is being broadcast (cablenetworks,
satellite channels, etc.).
Note
TheOteletext buttons could beworking even if
thereis no teletextsignal, butthereis no teletext
display.

Teletext functionsV
Toselect“teletext”press thebutton on the
handset. Toswitch o teletext, press thebutton again.
“Note all menu functions arenot availablein teletext
mode”. Only afew directbutton control functions are
availablein teletextmode, they are:

Use theP+/P- buttons to browse nextor previous
page.
Page number enteringV
ToselectaTeletextpage, enter thepage number

Toview theTV picturewhilein Textmodepress the
button, this will superimpose theTeletextdata on top
of theTV picture. Press this button again to returnto
Full text.
INDEXV
Press theINDEX button to go to theindex page of
teletext.
Language changeV
Pressing thebutton will change theTeletext
charactersbetween Easternand Western.
HoldV
Pressing thebutton will stop theteletextpage
automatically updating. This featureis very useful
wherethereareseveral teletextpages or data on
thesamepage number.
SizeV
Pressing thebutton changes between full screen
top half bottom half full screen. This featureis
very useful as it magnifies theimage making the
characterseasier to read.
RevealV
Pressing thebutton will reveal hidden text. This
featureis used to reveal information such as answers
to Teletexton-line interactive puzzles.
TimeV
Whilein normal TV modeonly, pressing thebutton
will display theteletexttimein thetop righthand
corner for afew seconds.
Fast text colouredVbuttons
Fast textautomatically displaysthefour most
commonly used pages that thebroadcaster thinks
that you may want to choose next. Press thesame
coloured button on theremote control as the
coloured link at thebottom of theteletextpage to
go directly to that page.
SubcodeV
Pressing thebutton by entering its 4-digit
number to enter asecondary page.
