Canon CLC 1110 User manual

The CLC 1110 is an ideal output device for both the commercial and corporate
worlds because it’s loaded with Canon technology. With its advanced engine
and powerful controller, it’s ready to tackle color-critical applications like
brochures, mailers, signage, and proofs. The CLC 1110 easily handles ICC
profiles, offers advanced color management applications, and brings you
enhanced calibration features. This system pushes the boundaries of digital
color output. It simulates the non-linear curve density of the conventional
printing press, providing you with near-offset quality in any short-run,
print-on-demand situation.
Colors produced on the CLC 1110 are rich and vibrant—the result of Canon’s
Finer, Brighter (FB) Toner and advanced charging system. FB Toner particles are
finer—and smaller—than previous toner particles. The CLC 1110 balances this
small particle size with consistency, so charged toner particles are distributed on
the drum more precisely and evenly. As a result, the CLC 1110 delivers sharper
images, smoother gradations, and cleaner details. Canon designed the
CLC 1110 with Real-time Calibration, so gradation levels are automatically
measured every few pages, and adjustments are made in real-time. This
ensures absolutely precise color—page after page, job after job.
Canon’s CLC 1110 brings you the color you want. The LCD Touch-panel
Display lets you manipulate and control your output, granting you access
to features like Color Copy Original, One-touch Color, Complexion
Adjustment, Hue, and Image Repeat. So with the CLC 1110, you’re never out
of creative control.
Plus, the Canon CLC 1110 has connectivity to the ColorPASS controller with such optional features as the Graphic Arts
Feature Set* that’s indispensable in color-critical environments. By connecting the CLC 1110 to a Canon ColorPASS
server with the Graphic Arts Feature enabled, ad agencies, graphic arts firms, and other color-sensitive production
centers enjoy a number of high-priority enhancements:
• Halftone Screening for accurate proofing
• Multiple Plate Separations for complex color breakdowns
• Soft Proofing for accurate color previews of RIPped jobs
• Auto Trapping to correct misregistration issues
• Spot-On to reproduce PMS colors accurately
• Paper Simulation to simulate actual media textures and colors

The CLC 1110 works with Canon’s ColorPASS Series controllers, providing
seamless connectivity across various networks, platforms, and applications.
With a Canon color server, you can cut prepress time considerably,
and you’ll have immediate access to intelligent color management
functions, document manipulation capabilities, and remote printing
options. Now, both your production team and your clients can be linked
throughout the entire production process—they can submit jobs, monitor
progress, proof documents, make revisions, and issue approvals from
their desktop PCs.
The ColorPASS Color Server comes with Command WorkStation.
™This job
management package is ideal for new users because it makes it easy to
track, edit, and merge any number of jobs. And it’s invaluable to veteran
administrators since it allows them to log-on to multiple ColorPASS
servers to manipulate jobs, preview print jobs, and monitor user-activity.
Canon designed the color servers to manage color as effectively as they
do projects. The ColorPASS servers include ColorWise,®one of the industry’s
most intuitive color management software packages. ColorWise brings
you out-of-the-box, high-quality color, along with a host of advanced
productivity tools.
Equipped with powerful connections.

handle any mid-level production assignment.
Editor-F1
With Canon’s optional Editor, the CLC 1110 will accept document and color adjust-
ments directly, without the need for desktop applications. As a result, you can walk
up to the CLC 1110 and manipulate images, alter colors, adjust sizes—you name it.
Recirculating Document Feeder-E3
One of the quickest ways to boost your productivity is to configure the CLC 1110
with Canon’s optional Recirculating Document Feeder (RDF). The RDF accommodates
up to 100 sheets of letter, letter-R, or statement originals, or 50 sheets of ledger or
legal paper (up to 110 lb. Index stock).
Paper Deck-E1
Users that routinely run larger projects rely on
Canon’s optional 2,500-sheet Paper Deck, which
increases the paper capacity of the CLC 1110 to
3,850 sheets—instantly.
Stapler Sorter-F2
The 20-bin Stapler Sorter, with the standard Buffer
Pass Unit, provides the CLC 1110 with an increased
paper capacity, additional sorting capabilities, and
three stapling options: Corner, Book, or Single
Stapling. With Canon’s Stapler Sorter, documents
are collated and stapled, quickly and accurately.
