The imageRUNNER 8500 pushes the

ering both copies and prints at a quick 85
impressions per minute. Un ike competitive
devices, the imageRUNNER 8500 does
not s ow down when performing advanced
functions such as dup exing, stap ing,
and ho e-punching. Finished documents
are continuous y output at the machine-
rated speed of 85 impressions per
minute, providing significant productivity

reso ution that is interpo ated to 1200 x
600 dpi reso ution for copying, and 2400

with a 100-sheet Automatic Document
Feeder (ADF) designed to de iver high
eve s of productivity. Accepting both
simp ex and dup ex origina s in sizes up to
11" x 17," and in weights up to 110 b. Index
stock, there is itt e this document feeder
can’t hand e. To meet the diverse copying
needs of high-vo ume environments, the
ADF a so offers a Different Size Origina s
Mode and a Semi-automatic Document
Feeder (SADF). Origina sets that contain
mu tip e paper sizes can be p aced in the
ADF for scanning provided that a pages
have the same eading-edge width. The
SADF is idea for making copies of heavy-
or ight-weight origina s that shou d not
be subject to the bending that occurs
inside the ADF.

The imageRUNNER 8500’s optiona
Finisher-K1 and Punch Finisher-K2 offer
two trays to manage output sizes of
statement to 11" x 17." Up to 3,000 sheets
can be accommodated, enough to effec-
tive y hand e even the ongest print or
copy runs. Additiona y, both Finishers can
stap e up to 100 sheets in any corner of
the page, or p ace two stap es in either
the eft- or right-hand margin. The Punch
Finisher-K2 a so offers ho e-punching
capabi ity, as we as stap ing. Output
can be automatica y two- or three-
ho e punched, depending on paper size
and orientation.
If your finishing requirements are more
extensive, the Sadd e Finisher-K3 is
another avai ab e option. Like the
Finisher-K1 and Punch Finisher-K2, the
Sadd e Finisher-K3 ho ds a maximum
of 3,000 sheets in two trays. It offers
100-sheet sing e- and doub e-position
stap ing, two- and three-ho e punching, as
we as sadd e-stitched book et-making
as standard. The Sadd e Finisher-K3 can
a so be equipped with an optiona
Document Inserter-B1 and the Paper
Fo ding Unit-C1. The Document Inserter-B1
