Introduction
SmartLock UltraLite Plus is an extremely simple, stand-alone access control system that
supports up to 2,000 users with a 1,000 record, time-stamped audit trail capacity. All
programming is done at the PC, using software which is simple, intuitive and supports
up to 255 UltraLite Plus controllers. When used with the CanProx One proximity
reader, the UltraLite Plus system becomes one of the most cost-effective stand-alone,
expandable systems on the market.
The SmartLock UltraLite Plus controller features a form "C" relay output for lock
control as well as inputs for a request-to-exit button and a door contact. If a door
contact input is connected, the controller will automatically relock the door once it re-
closes. In addition, an audible alert can be generated on the reader if the door is held
open longer than a specified time.
IMPORTANT: If no door contact is used, the door contact input must be shorted to
ground. Failure to do this will result in erratic operation.
NOTE: Tech Support will only be provided where product installation guidelines
have been followed.
IMPORTANT: In some jurisdictions the use of a UL-approved power supply
and connection to the fire alarm system for emergency release may be
required. Installers should contact the fire marshal office or local
authority having jurisdiction to verify the specific requirements. A building
permit may be required in some jurisdictions for the installation of maglocks.

NOTE:
1. Only connect a power source to the indicated power pins or product damage will result.
2. The door contact input must be bypassed if not used. To bypass, connect a jumper wire
between the door contact input and Ground.
3. If the cable feed hole on the controller back-box is too small, drill a larger hole to
accommodate the cable.
4. The controller comes in polycarbonate housing, and should be installed in an accessible
location on the secure side of the door.
5. The housing is not waterproof.

EXIT BUTTON AND DOOR CONTACT
NOTE:
1. Do not apply power or attempt to switch any current through these inputs as this
will result in damage to the controller.
2. The door contact input is used for forced entry and door-held-open
annunciation. The lock relay is deactivated when the door closes before the
unlock time ends.
3. If door contact is not used, you must connect a jumper wire between the door
contact input and Ground. Connecting a door contact will enable door-held-
open annunciation via the reader’s beeper and will also deactivate the lock relay
when the door closes before the unlock time ends.
4. Requires momentary closure to activate the lock relay.
