ALLGEMEINES
GasCube warnt vor austretendem Propan / Butan Gas (LPG)
und Gasen mit betäubender Wirkung. GasCube wird produ-
ziert um Personen in einem Reisemobil oder Wohnwagen
vor den Gefahren austretender Gase zu warnen. GasCube
wird fest im Fahrzeug eingebaut.
GasCube Plus besitzt einen zusätzlichen Sensor für noch
mehr Sicherheit.
GasCube ist in der Lage
• Gase in kleinsten Konzentrationen zu erkennen und
vor schädlichen Gasen zu warnen, lange bevor die
Wirkung auf Personen und Tiere Auswirkungen haben
können.
• Die schlafenden Personen eines Reisemobils oder
Wohnwagens durch ein Alarmsignal zu wecken und
auf das austretende Gas aufmerksam zu machen.
• GasCube reagiert, mit einer speziellen Sensortechnik,
sehr empfindlich auf Gase mit betäubender und
narkotisierender Wirkung.
Für die fehlerfreie Funktionsweise von GasCube
ist es wichtig:
• dass die Umgebungsluft möglichst keine umwelt-
belastenden Gase enthält.
• dass GasCube in ca. 30 cm Höhe vom Boden
installiert wird.
• dass der Sensor regelmäßig auf seine Funktion
überprüft wird.

BEDIENUNG:
Mit einem leichten Druck auf den Button auf der Gehäuse-
oberseite wird GasCube eingeschaltet. Nach dem Einschal-
ten von GasCube wird ein Autotest gestartet und es wird die
korrekte Funktionsweise von Elektronik und Sensortechnik
überprüft. Ein kurzes Aufleuchten der LED’s und ein langes
Tonsignal zeigt dies an. Sofort danach führt GasCube die
Kalibrierung der Sensortechnik durch, zu sehen durch das
Blinken der blauen LED. Diese Phase dauert zwei bis vier
Minuten.
Wenn die Kalibrierung beendet ist, leuchtet die blaue LED
ständig.
ALARM
Wenn GasCube eine Gaskonzentration in der Umgebungsluft
wahrnimmt, erzeugt das Gerät einen Voralarm. Bei Voralarm
ist ein unterbrochener Ton zu hören und die rote LED fängt
an zu blinken. Der Voralarm dauert 40 Sekunden. In dieser
Zeit überprüft GasCube wie sich die Gaskonzentration
verändert. Ist nach dem Voralarm die Gaskonzentration
gleich oder höher wird der Alarm ausgelöst. Die rote LED
leuchtet ständig und ein durchgehendes Alarmsignal ist zu
hören. Für den Fall, dass die Gaskonzentration nach dem
Voralarm verschwunden ist, geht GasCube zurück in den
Bereitschaftszustand und die blaue LED leuchtet.

FUNKTIONSPRÜFUNG
1. Schalten Sie GasCube ein, warten Sie den Selbsttest
ab, bis die blaue LED ständig leuchtet und GasCube
betriebsbereit ist.
2. Halten Sie dann ein Gasfeuerzeug an die seitlichen
Öffnungen des GasCube, drücken Sie die Taste des
Feuerzeuges, so dass Gas ausströmt, aber keine
Flamme erzeugt wird.
3. Nach wenigen Sekunden wird der Voralarm ausgelöst.
Wenn Sie nun weiterhin Gas in das Gehäuse strömen
lassen, wird nach dem Voralarm Alarm ausgelöst.

INSTALLATION des GasCube Plus
Damit der GasCube richtig funktioniert, ist es wichtig, gute
Stellen für die Installation zu finden.
• Der Hauptsensor befindet sich im Inneren des Geräts.
Deshalb muss rund um das Gerät viel Platz gelassen
werden, mindestens 20 cm.
Das ist wichtig, damit Luft und evtl. Gase frei fließen und
den Sensor erreichen können.
• Installation 1 m über dem Boden.
• Nicht direkt über dem Gaskocher anbringen, weil die
Kochdünste sonst den Gassensor beschädigen könnten!

ZUSATZSENSOR
Der zweite Sensor des GasCube ist genauso empfindlich,
wie der Hauptsensor.
Er bietet zusätzlichen Schutz und sorgt dafür, dass alle
Gase entdeckt werden, unabhängig davon, ob sie leichter
oder schwerer als Luft sind.
Soll der zweite Sensor in erster Linie Flüssiggas (LPG)
erkennen, sollte er ca. 30 cm über dem Boden installiert
werden.
Anschlussbuchse „AUX“
Der GasCube verfügt über eine Anschlussbuchse, an der
ein Abluftventilator oder ein Gasabsperrventil angeschlos-
sen werden kann.
Die „AUX“-Buchse wird durch den Alarm aktiviert
und schickt dann einen Signalstrom von –12 V und einer
max. Stromstärke von 500 mA ab.
Soll ein Gerät mit höherer Signalstromaufnahme ange-
schlossen werden, muss ein Relais verwendet werden.

GENERAL
GasCube is warning against leaking propane/ butane gas
(LPG) and gases with narcotic effect. GasCube is produced
to warn people in a motorhome or caravan about the risks
of emerging gases. GasCube will be permanently installed in
the vehicle. GasCube Plus has an additional sensor for even
more safety.
GasCube is able
• to detect gases at very low concentrations and to warn
against harmful gases, long time before it will have an
impact to people and animals.
• to wake up the sleeping people in a motorhome or
caravan by an alarm signal and to draw their attention
to the emerging gas.
• With a special sensor technology GasCube responds
very sensitive to gases with numbing and narcotic
effect.
For the faultless operation of GasCube it is important:
• that the ambient air contains preferably no
polluting gases.
• that GasCube will be installed approx. ca. 30 cm
above the floor.
• that the sensor will be controlled regularly of
its function.

OPERATION
With a slight pressure on the button of the GasCube’s
housing it will be turned on. After switching the GasCube
a car test starts and the proper function of the electronics
and sensor technology will be checked. This is indicated by
a short flash of the LED’s and a long beep. Directly after-
wards, the GasCube performs a calibration of the sensor
technology. This is shown by the flashing blue LED.
This phase lasts two to four minutes. If the calibration
is ready, the blue LED blinks permanently.
ALARM
If the GasCube perceives a gas concentration in the ambient
air, the device generates a pre-alarm. During the pre-alarm
an intermittent sound can be heard and the red LED starts
flashing. The pre-alarm takes 40 seconds. During this time
the GasCube checks how the gas concentration is changing.
If the gas concentration remains equal or higher after the
pre-alarm, an alert is triggered. The red LED lights steadily
and a continuous alert signal will be heard. In the event that
the gas concentration has disappeared after the pre-alarm,
the GasCube goes back into the standby mode and the blue
LED lights.

FUNCTIONAL TESTING
1. Turn on the GasCube, await the self-test until the blue
LED lights up constantly and the GasCube is ready to
use.
2. Then hold a gas lighter at the GasCube’s side openings,
press the button of the lighter so that gas exhausts, but
no flame will be produced.
3. After a few seconds, the pre-alarm is triggered. If you
now continue to let the gas flow into the housing, after
the pre-alarm an alarm is triggered.

INSTALLATION GasCube Plus
The choice of the installation point is important for the
correct operation
• The main sensor is located inside the GasCube.
For a correct operation leave a respectable area of at
least 20 cm around the device.
This is necessary to ensure the passage of the gases to
be detected inside the sensor.
• Install at a height of 1 m from the floor.
• Do not install above the gas cooker, cooking vapors may
damage the gas sensor.

ADDITIONAL EXTRA SENSOR
The second sensor has the same sensitivity as the original
integrated into the GasCube.
With the second sensor you get a higher level of security re-
gardless of whether the gases are lighter or heavier than air.
Install the second sensor for a more effective detection of
LPG GAS approximately 30 cm from the floor.
AUX OUTPUT
The GasCube is equipped with an output to connect an
evacuation fan or a gas stop electro-valve.
The output is active during the alarm, it is not active during
the pre-alarm.
AUX output provides a negative signal (– 12 V) with a maxi-
mum current of 500 mA.
If you need to connect a device with higher absorption,
an additional relay must be installed.

WARRANTY
The warranty period is 36 months. Reimo reserves the right
to rectify eventual defaults. The guarantee is excluded for all
damages caused by faulty use or improper handling.
Liability limitations:
In no case Reimo will be reliable for collateral-, secondary-
or indirect damages, costs, expenditure, missed benefits or
missed earnings. The indicated sales price of the product
is representing the equivalent value of Reimo’s liability
limitations.

INFORMAZIONI GENERALI
GasCube è un rivelatore fughe di gas nocivi (GPL) oppure
dalle rapine effettuate con gas soporiferi. GasCube è rea-
lizzato per avvertire l’equipaggio che dorme all’interno dei
veicoli ricreazionali o mezzi dedicati al lavoro.
GasCube Plus è dotato di un sensore aggiuntivo per una
sicurezza ancora maggiore.
GasCube è in grado di:
• rilevare la presenza di gas nell’ambiente prima che il
loro effetto abbia compromesso le facoltà di reazione.
• svegliare dal sonno l’equipaggio con un forte
segnale acustico.
• dotato di un particolare sensore universale è molto
sensibile di gas nocivi compresi gli eteroderivati con
effetto narcotizzante.
Note per un corretto utilizzo di GasCube:
• utilizzare in aria priva di sostanze particolarmente
inquinanti.
• installare il dispositivo ad una altezza intermedia.
• testare regolarmente il funzionamento del sensore.

UTILIZZO DEL DISPOSITIVO
Per attivare il dispositivo è necessario accenderlo facendo
una leggera pressione sul pulsante posto al centro.
Immediatamente dopo l’accensione il dispositivo farà un
autotest e se tutto funziona correttamente ci sarà un breve
lampeggio del LED di segnalazione unitamente ad un breve
segnale acustico, successivamente si attuerà la fase di
“calibratura / autotaratura”, segnalata dal lampeggio del
LED blu che durerà circa 2– 4 minuti. Al termine di questa
operazione il LED blu si accenderà fisso e il dispositivo
sarà attivo.
ALLARME
Se il GasCube rileva la presenza di gas nell’ambiente si
avrà un pre-allarme della durata di 40 secondi con buzzer
e LED rosso ad intermittenza. Trascorso questo tempo se
nell’ambiente ci sarà ancora il dispositivo passerà alla fase
di allarme con un suono del buzzer continuo ed il LED rosso
acceso fisso, se invece durante la fase di pre-allarme il gas
non sarà più presente nell’ambiente il buzzer smetterà di
suonare e il dispositivo sarà di nuovo pronto a rilevare gas
(LED blu acceso).

VERIFICA FUNZIONAMENTO
1. Accendere il dispositivo e attendere che la fase di autota-
ratura sia terminata e che il LED blu sia acceso fisso.
2. Avvicinare alla feritoia perimetrale del GasCube
un comune accendino e senza accendere la fiamma
far fuoriuscire del gas.
3. In caso di funzionamento corretto dopo alcuni
secondi il dispositivo entrerà in fase di pre-allarme,
e continuando a far fuoriuscire del gas dopo il tempo
di pre-allarme si avrà un allarme.

INSTALLAZIONE di GasCube Plus
Affinché GasCube funzioni correttamente è importante
trovare dei punti adatti per l’installazione.
• Il sensore principale si trova all’interno dell’apparecchio.
Pertanto è necessario lasciare molto spazio attorno
all’apparecchio, almeno 20 cm.
Ciò è importante affinché l’aria e gli eventuali gas scorra-
no liberamente e possano quindi raggiungere il sensore.
• Installazione 1 m sopra al pavimento.
• Non applicare direttamente sopra al fornello a gas,
in quanto altrimenti i vapori di cottura possono
danneggiare il sensore a gas!

SENSORE ESTERNO
Il secondo sensore di GasCube è altrettanto sensibile
di quello principale.
Offre una protezione aggiuntiva e fa in modo che tutti
i gas vengano rilevati, a prescindere che siano più leggeri
o più pesanti dell’aria.
Se il secondo sensore deve rilevare principalmente gas di
petrolio liquefatti (GPL) deve essere installato circa 30 cm
sopra al pavimento.
Presa di collegamento “AUX”
GasCube dispone di una presa di collegamento a cui
è possibile collegare un ventilatore per estrazione aria
o una valvola di intercettazione gas.
La presa “AUX” è attivata dall’allarme e quindi invia un se-
gnale di corrente di –12 V e un amperaggio max. di 500 mA.
Se deve essere collegato un apparecchio con un maggior assor-
bimento di corrente di segnale deve essere utilizzato un relè.
