SensAlert Plus Moisture Barrier Install Instruction
• Moisture Barrier
The Plus series Moisture Barrier can be used with SensAlert Plus and SensAlert ASI Transmitters.
The plus Moisture Barrier needs to be held in place by the Sensor Shield or the Rain Shield.
The SensAlert Plus Moisture Barrier part numbers are listed below:
821-0201-01 ...........ASSY, MOISTURE BARRIER
821-0201-06 ...........6-PK MOISTURE BARRIER
Perform Installation in a safe area and with Unit power off.
1) Unscrew the Interface Ring on the Sensor Interface Assembly and remove Sensor Holder.
2) Place the Sensor Holder upside down on
a clean surface with Sensor Shield (or
Rain Shield) facing upwards.
Leave O-ring and Gaskets in place.
3) Remove the Sensor Shield (or Rain
Shield) from the Sensor Holder and
drop the Moisture Barrier into the
retainer hole with PVC Ring of the
Moisture Barrier inward – (white side out).

4) Screw the Sensor Shield (or Rain Shield)
back into place.
The Sensor Shield (or Rain Shield) will
press the Barrier into its machined slot.
5) Re-attach the Sensor Holder to the Sensor Interface Assembly on the Transmitter by aligning the
Dowel Pins with the Holes in the Holder. Secure the Sensor Holder by tightening the Interface Ring.

To remove the Moisture Barrier.
1) Follow steps 1 and 2 above to remove the Sensor Holder from the Transmitter.
2) Remove the Sensor Shield (or Rain Shield) from the Sensor Holder. Turn the Sensor Holder over
to remove Moisture Barrier. If the Moisture Barrier fails to drop out, The Sensidyne magnetic
screwdriver or a similar small screw driver can be used to push into the half moon access slot in
the top of the Sensor Holder (at the edge of the sensor opening). This will push the Moisture
Barrier out of the Sensor Holder without breaching the barrier material.
