Warranty
We are pleased to offer a standard warranty of 15 years on stainless steel
frames [with 2 years on all other components][ from the date of purchase. It
is subject to the following General Terms & Conditions:
1. Should problems be experienced with any workmanship or
materials within the first 15 years on the stainless steel frame[and
first 2 years on all other components] please contact your point of
purchaser or Aidsrvice Ltd., within normal working hours [09:00am-
5:00pm, Monday – Friday]
2. Please quote the serial number of the product [where applicable],
which will be found on the front of this user guide and on the
product iteself.
3. The Product will be repaired free of charge provided that it has
been used in accordance with the guidelines and recommendations
set out in this user guide, and serviced and/or maintained by
Aidservice Ltd., or a competent person[s] authorised by Aidservice
Ltd.,
4. The Warranty also does not cover replacements, adjustments or
repairs arising as a consequence of normal wear and tear, wilful or
accidental damage, misuse, neglect or any cause which is beyond
the manufacturers’ control.
5. The warranty does not cover modifications or repairs made to the
product by unauthorised persons or the use of unauthorised parts,
or any failure or malfunction due to incorrect and/or poor
workmanship on the part of any persons, other than Aidservice Ltd.,
or a competent persons[s] authorised by Aidservice Ltd.
6. This Warranty does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
Returning Products
In order to minimise infection risk the Medicines & Healthcare products
Regulatory Agency[MHRA] suggest that items being returned to a
manufacturer should be decontaminated appropriately before return.[See
MHRA DB2003[OX]. A Certificate of Decontamination may therefore be
required before goods can be returned. Please contact the Company or your
supplier for further details.
Aidservice Ltd., are committed to a policy of product development.
Consequently, we reserve the right to change or alter any specification
without prior notice.

Introduction
We thank you very much for purchasing our product and hope that the
following notes will assist you in obtaining maximum benefit from it.

Bariatric Tilt in Space Chair - Powered
Safe Working Load 200kgs
Cleaning / General Maintenance:
•Where the unit is fitted with a mesh cover it is important to check
the straps are secure before use
•Once the mesh is wet, allow to dry naturally
•The mesh is easily removable to facilitate cleaning. Please refer to
the product labeling for washing instructions
•Clean seat, back and frame with a mild soap solution/cleaning
agent then with an anti-bacterial solution
•NOT suitable for machine cleaning – hand clean only
•DO NOT USE BLEACH or CLEANING AGENTS CONTAINING BLEACH
•“Towel dry” after use. Any materials used should be disposable
and disposal appropriately undertaken
•Regularly inspect all parts for defects
•Keep castors/wheels free from lime-scale, soap, hairs and fibres
•Re-grease the “gas struts” where necessary
•Ensure top of cable remains lightly lubricated – if in doubt contact
supplier
•In all multi user situations, please be aware of any infection
control policies that may be in force or appropriate
Servicing:
We would recommend that your Tilt in Space Shower Chair is serviced
annually. Stainless Steel models carry a 15 years warranty on the frame[2
years on other components]and this is subject to the product being
serviced annually by Aidservice Ltd., or competent persons[s] authorized
by Aidservice Ltd., Warranty details are shown on the back of this guide.
Operating Instructions:
A button on the hand control that operates the motor controls movement.
Hand Control: is designed to fit comfortably into the hand and has a convenient
hook on the back to attach it to the hoist when not in use. The controls consist of
two buttons marked with directional arrows. The motor automatically stops when
the button is released or at either end of its maximum travel.
Charging Instructions: The charger is designed for use solely with the battery pack
Try and adopt an overnight charging routine that will leave your equipment in a
permanent state of readiness. With the charger supplied it is not possible to
overcharge the batteries
Charging the battery
Plug the charger lead into the socket on the bottom of the control box that is
mounted on the frame. A plastic cap protects the socket. To remove this cap pull
down on the tab attached.
The actuator has a design / service life of 10,000 cycles. As part of all future
inspection and servicing of the hoist its usage will be assessed and the need for the
actuator to be replaced reviewed. This will be determined by, age and rate of
usage.
Contact the manufacturer, quoting the model and serial number, together with its
rate of usage and age, to determine if the actuator is due for replacement.
Adjustment Footrests
•Release the hand wheel [depending upon the model] from the legs
•Select desired footrest height by sliding the footrest up/down.
NOTE: this is a telescopic action
•Secure hand wheel.
Folding Arm Rests
NOTE: The armrests are not intended to be used to help manoeuvre
the chair. The arms are supported by a telescopic support under the
armrests; the arms will fold up to allow side transfer
Adjustment seat height
•Remove the pin clip from the leg
•Select desired seat height by sliding out the leg from the frame.
NOTE: this is a telescopic action
•Refit pin clip
•Repeat the adjustment for the other legs Ensure all legs are
adjusted equally
Braked Wheel & Castors
The chair is fitted with 4 braked castors this is a foot operated brake
•Press down with the ball of the foot onto the front of the pedal to
operate brake
•Push back on the pedal to release
Lap strap/Harness
•Please refer to separate instructions
Commode Pan
•The commode pan is mounted on a bracket under the seat. It can
be removed from the front or rear of the chair
