Before plugging in the appliance, ensure that its voltage is compatible with the voltage in your home.
Dierences in voltage may result in re, accident or damage to the appliance.
Always attach plug to appliance rst, then plug cord into the wall outlet. Never force or tamper with the
plug if it doesn’t t, and don’t handle with wet hands.
Inspect the Base, Cord, and Lid for t, seal, or damage before use. Check the Steam Release Valve, Float
Valve, Anti-Block Shield, and Safety Lock Pin for clogs or obstructions before use. If you notice any damage
or defects for pressure cooker, and air fryer lid, do not use.
Always use the Removable Inner Pot when cooking. Do not wet the Cooker Base or add ingredients to it
directly to prevent damage.
It is extremely important to cook with liquid inside the Removable Inner Pot. Dry cooking can burn or
overheat and damage the Pot’s safety mechanisms.
In case of overheating, do not remove the Removable Inner Pot from the heat source, instead shut o the
device immediately and let it cool.
In case of any electric emergency such as a re, call local equivalent.
While the general exterior surface of the Base is designed to stay cool, parts of the Pot such as the Lid and
Steam Valves may become hot when in use. Hot steam may vent or escape from the steam release valve
and oater
valve, or when opening the lid.
Always use caution when touching the pot and avoid direct exposure to uids and steam with your

COOKING TIPS
Safety First
• Extreme caution should be taken when moving the Steam Release handle to Venting Position
immediately after cooking. Keep hands and face away from the Steam Release Valve.
• Do not open the Lid until pressure inside the cooker is completely released. As a safety feature,
until the Float Valve drops down, the Lid is locked and cannot be opened. Do not force Lid open.
• When opening the Lid, the Inner Pot may adhere to the Lid. This is caused by a vacuum seal
forming from cooling air. To release the vacuum, move the Steam Release Handle to the Venting
position.
• If the Float Valve is stuck, move the Steam Release Handle to the Venting position. Once all the
steam has been released, push the Float Valve Down with a utensil as it may be hot.
Use Enough Liquid
• Always add at least 2 cups (160 ml/cup) of water or other liquid so enough steam can be
generated to cook under pressure. Liquids such as cooking sauce, wine, beer, stock, or fruit and
vegetable juices can be used. Oils and oil-based sauces do not have enough water content and
do not count toward the minimum required liquid volume.
• When using the Steam function, do not put ingredients directly on the bottom of the Removable
Inner Pot. Always use the Steam Rack by placing it into the Pot, then place a heatproof bowl on top
of the Steam Rack. Ingredients to be cooked should be placed in the heat-safe bowl and covered
by aluminum foil. Finally, ll the Pot with approximately an inch of water so it reaches just below
the rack wires, without it touching the bowl.
Time It Right
• Time to pressure and cooking time will vary according to the temperature and quantity of the
ngredients. Food that is cold or frozen will take longer to cook than food that is at room temperature.
• The Delay Start program is not recommended for porridge, oatmeal or other foamy and thick
liquids. These foods may potentially clog the steam valves and should be monitored while being
cooked.
• When using the Delay Start program, allow sucient cool-down time before serving.
11

1. Add ingredients to the Removable Inner Pot. DO NOT add ingredients to the Cooker Base.
Note: The minimum amount of liquid needed for cooking is 2 cups (160ml/cup) unless otherwise directed
by the recipe. Acceptable liquids include water, wine, beer, stock, broth, and juice.
WARNING: Pay careful attention to the maximum ll line for dierent types of food. Do not ll the
Removable Inner Pot more than 2/3 full. For food that easily expands, such as rice, beans, peanuts, grains,
or dried vegetables, do not ll the Removable Inner Pot more than 1/2 full.
2. Place the Removable Inner Pot into the Cooker Base. Check that there is no other foreign materials inside
the Cooker Base and that it is totally dry.
Note: Make sure the pressure cooker is o before placing the Removable
Inner Pot back into the Cooker Base.
Be sure to wipe dry the outside bottom of the Removable Inner Pot
and the surface of the Heating Plate.
3. Place the Lid onto the Cooker and turn it clockwise to lock the Lid. You will hear a clicking sound to show
the Lid is locked well. Make sure the Steam Release Handle is in the “Sealing”position. After putting the Lid

You can still turn this setting on as a standalone program to warm up pre-cooked food.

PRESSURE RELEASE METHODS
15
QUICK RELEASE: This method releases pressure in the form of steam in just a couple of minutes.
When cooking has nished, you can release the built-up pressure manually by turning the Steam Release
Handle to the “Venting” position. Always be cautious, using protective gloves or a long utensil as a stream
of hot steam will shoot out of
the valves. Once steam no longer escapes from the vent and the Float Valve has dropped, you can now
carefully open the Lid away from you. Be mindful of any remaining steam, water, or oil as these may cause burns.
NATURAL RELEASE: This method is a much slower than the quick release method. When cooking has
nished, let the built-up pressure release on its own without turning the Steam Release Handle. This may
take 10-40 minutes, or longer, depending on the amount of food in the cooker and the settings used. You
may wish to leave the Cooker on the Keep Warm setting while pressure is released, or you can turn it o or
unplug it so the contents will cool faster. Once the Float Valve drops down, you can now carefully open the
Lid away from you. As a precaution, you can turn the Steam Release Handle to Venting to make sure all
pressure has been completely released. Typically, using the quick release method after 10-15 minutes of
natural release will have allowed enough time to pass so as not to aect the end result of the recipe.
WHICH METHOD SHOULD I USE?
Most recipes will designate whether to use quick or natural release. For food with large liquid volume, starch
content, or ingredients that are likely to foam, such as oatmeal, beans, pasta, or soup, use the Natural Release
method to prevent thick liquid from splattering out.
Never block the Steam Vent or try to open the Lid while the pressure cooker is running or releasing steam.
Keep unprotected skin away from the Steam Release Valve when the pressure cooker is in operation or when
releasing steam. Never touch the Lid or any metal parts of the cooker with any unprotected skin as it may
cause injury. Use tongs or mitts when releasing pressure manually to prevent injury.
