Children's watch with GPS locator CARNEO Guard Kid + 4G platinum
Read this user manual carefully before use!
Important Notice!
Do not use the watch when bathing, showering, taking a hot bath. Pressurized or hot water can get
into the body of the watch and damage the electronics, which is not covered by the warranty.
Resistance to splashing water and dust is not a permanent condition and resistance may decrease
due to normal wear and tear. Damage caused by the liquid leakage is not covered by the warranty,
as it is not possible to legally determine how the product was used. To prevent liquid from entering
the device, make sure that the SIM card cover on the watch is properly attached. The device is not
intended for use during water sports, swimming, diving, showering or sauna. It must not be exposed
to pressurized water or a strong stream of water, such as sharp immersion or diving.
The battery is not being fully charged at the factory or is completely discharged for safety
restrictions of air transport, so it is necessary to charge it for at least 2 hours before using the watch.
The battery is designed and manufactured in a way to be recharge and use very often. Like all lithium
batteries, their capacity decreases with each charge. However, you can still try to extend battery life
by following these steps:
Use the watch at least once a week.
Recharge the battery regularly.
Never leave the battery completely discharged for a long time.
Always protect the device and batteries from heat and moisture.
Preparation before use
1. Check the contents of the watch package, which must include the power cord.
2. Purchase a SIM card on which "internet" data is activated. We do not recommend recharging
cards due to the fact that after running out of the credit, the watch does is not able to communicate
with the application, or it is necessary to reactivate the Internet after each shortage of credit. Before
using the sim card, first activate it on any phone and deactivate the PIN code "in the phone settings".
Then test the deactivation of the PIN code by switching the phone off and on again. The SIM card

must log in without having to enter a PIN code. Finally, test the availability of mobile internet on
your phone without using WIFI. Launch an Internet browser on your phone and try, for example,
www.carneo.sk.
Note: The expected data transfer in standard use is up to 200MB per month without the use of a
video call, which has a data consumption of 5MB / 1 minute of video call. Therefore, it is up to each
user to purchase a card with a sufficient amount of data according to their needs.
3. Install the CARNEO GUARD application on your mobile phone, by scanning the QR code
located on the bottom of the box, but by searching for the CARNEO GUARD application in google
play or the Appstore.
4. Slide off the plastic cover on the side where is the SIM card picture displayed. Sufficient force
must be used to open it, so we recommend using fingers with a firm nail to prevent the nail from
breaking. The watch must be switched off when inserting the SIM card! If you have inserted the
SIM card into the slot while the watch is switched on, it is then necessary to restart the watch so that
the SIM card loads correctly. Insert the SIM card in the correct direction as shown on the picture:
If you have the SIM card properly inserted in the slot, insert it back, with the contacts facing up,
towards the display. Push the cover hard enough so that the rubber sealing sticks to the hole
sufficiently. You can now turn on the watch with the on button.
After installing the application and launching it, select the language at the bottom, left on the
screen. Select the option to register. Enter your e-mail address in the "Enter your e-mail" field. In
the "Enter verification code" field, enter the code located on the right side of the gray rectangle. In
the "8-16 Letters and numeric new password" field, create password containing from 8 up to 16
letters. Use a password that contains both, letters and numbers. Confirm that you have read the
user agreement and choose to register.
5. Add watch. Click on the dashed square on the right of the first box. The camera launches on the
phone and scans the QR code, which is located on the label attached to the watch, but also in the
watch menu. In the nickname field, enter e.g. your baby's name. In the next field, select your
affiliation / relationship with the child. Confirm OK. The application confirms that the watch is
registered with the message "saved".
IMPORTANT NOTICE!
5 minutes before registering the watch, place the switched on watch with the inserted SIM card in
the space outside or on the window sill to connect to the GPS satellites. The initial connection,
synchronization of the clock and applications with the server can take several minutes, but a
maximum of 30 minutes approximately. Therefore, if the application will display a message during
set up, that the watch is not connected to the network or is offline, please wait for some time, but
for maximum of 30 minutes. Also the activation or display of various functions such as
eavesdropping and others will be displayed in the application after some time, max. within 48
hours. This is due to a review of the legislation of the country in which the watch is located.

TROUBLESHOOTING.
If the application still shows after 30 minutes that the watch is offline or the device is not connected
to the network, it is very likely that the SIM card does not have data available. Please check with
operator support line about the data availability on the SIM card in the watch. Activation time of
mobile data differs every time, so it is important to check the availability of the Internet on the SIM
card with the operator. If the operator confirms to you that the data on the SIM card is available
and the application will still display "the watch is offline or the device is connected to the network",
it is necessary to set the APN "access point" for the Internet. You set the APN in the watch in the
menu - Settings / Mobile networks / Access point name (APN) / Options / Restore defaults. Confirm
OK. Now restart the watch. In the settings menu you will find the option to restart.
Battery life information:
Battery life based on the selected operating mode:
Normal mode / automatic localization every 10 minutes = endurance max. 1-3 days
Energy saving mode / automatic localization every 1 hour = endurance max. 2 - 4 days
Sleep mode. You can request the position manually = endurance max. 3-5 days
Battery life is calculated at 100% 2G GSM signal reception. If the watch operate on weaker GSM 4G
signal during the day, the battery life is rapidly shortened because more energy is used to increase
the power of the GSM transmitter / receiver in the watch.
3. Description of the clock.
Basic screen

Description of functions
Green contact list icon - above the map: You can set up to 15 contacts for close people. These
contacts are transferred to the watch when saved. The contact must be entered in the international
format + 49XXXXXXXXX.
Orange message icon: During recording, press and hold the white button at the bottom of the
screen and speak into the microphone, release the button when the recording is finished and the
message will be sent to the watch. Maximum lenght of the message is 15 seconds. You can also
send a text message with maximum of 30 characters.
Dark orange call icon: You can insert a phone number of the SIM card that is in the watch into
the APP and then you can easily connect the watch with a standard telephone call.
Health: In this menu, you can view the history of the distance traveled, calories burned, the total
distance traveled and the quality of the child's sleep.
Note: Clicking on any of the four icons will allow you to enter the data needed for correct
calculation of the distance traveled and the calories burned, such as the length of the baby's step,
the weight of the baby and on/off button for this function. The watch’s pedometer must be
activated in the application in the health / walking option. Activating the pedometer will cause
more clock power consumption and can reduce battery life by up to 30%.
Notifications: There is a history of notifications received on the clock.
Alarm clock: Possibility to set up to 3 alarms.
Reward for love: With this function you can send your child‘s watch from 0 to 99 hearts as a reward
for any activities performed.
Remote Photo: This feature allows you to take a remote photo with the camera on your watch. The
photo is transferred to the list of photos in the application within a few seconds or "max 1 min".
Timetable: You can fill up your child's weekly schedule.
Video call: “GuardKid + 4G and GuardKid + 4G platinum watch only” Video call function with baby.
SOS numbers: You can enter up to 3 phone numbers that the watch will contact if the SOS button
is pressed for 3 seconds on the watch, then the watch will try to contact each number consecutively.
If the call is not made, the watch will try to call the numbers all over again.
Operating mode: Select the desired period of the automatic GPS location, thanks to which you can
save the transmitted data and the clock battery. We recommend saving mode.
Ring mode: Select ring mode / silent mode.
Eavesdropping: Enter your phone number in the blank field and confirm with OK. The watch will
call the number you entered immediately. When you answer a call on your phone, only the sound
of the clock will be transmitted, so you can eavesdrop. The watch looks off without any activity
when eavesdropping.
Family members: This is a list of users who have the app installed and paired identical watch as you.
The user who registers the watch first becomes the administrator. When registering another user,
the administrator must confirm the request to assign another account to an already registered
watch. This request is delivered to the application within minutes after another user requests
access to the watch.
Prohibition of use during the school lessons: Choose a time period when you do not want your
child to be disturbed. For example, if he is at school, etc..
Phonebook: You can set up to 15 contacts for close people. These contacts are transferred to the
watch when saved. The contact must be entered in the international format + 49XXXXXXXXX.

SMS notification settings: Select the phone number you want to be informed via SMS about the
approaching low battery and SOS warnings, which you can turn on or off. This function is important
when the watch is in a place with a weak 4G signal, therefore the information about the low
battery or SOS is sent directly in text message to your phone, for which a weak signal or a 2G signal
is sufficient.
LBS location: Enable / disable location via operator detectors. If you turn off this option, it will not
be possible to locate the watch if it there is not GPS or WIFI available.
Find device: Watch search function. When you click on the watch button, the watch will ring.
Other settings: Option to turn GPS positioning on or off. If the GPS is switched off, the watch will
be located only via the available WIFI, or with the help of the operator's detectors. The dialing
function can allow or disallow the child to dial any telephone numbers on the watch using the
numeric keypad, so that, for example, he or she does not accidentally call strangers or 112.
Timer: This option allows you to set automatic or manual turn on of the clock, saving battery
power.
Language: Ability to change the language of the watch menu.
Time Zone: Change the time zone. If the watch shows the wrong time "delayed by several hours",
please select the correct time zone and the watch will adjust the time.
Friends card: A list of friendly watches that can call and write to each other is displayed. You can
connect any CARNEO GPS children's watch by launching the friends function on the watch menu
and hitting them in close proximity, activating the friend request.
Night energy saving mode: Possibility to log off the watch from the network from 22:00 to 6:00,
which saves the clock battery.
View received SMS: This option allows you to enable or disable the reception of text messages on
the watch. All received text messages with the watch are also displayed in a list in the application
for your control.
Reject unknown callers: This feature allows you to choose if you want to receive calls from any
foreign numbers. If you turn on the function, the watch will only receive calls from numbers listed
by you to the phonebook.
WIFI terminal: Possibility to connect the watch to WIFI. “GuradKid + 4G and 4G platinum model
only”.
Remote shutdown: Possibility to turn off the clock remotely.
Reset device: Reset the clock to origin factory settings.
Remote restart: Remote clock restart.
Note: After turning on the clock, it is not possible to simply turn off the watch using the on / off
button on the watch. This is for safety reasons, so that no one can turn off the child's watch and
thus make it impossible to locate it. You can turn them off by holding down the power button for
up to about 8 seconds.

Clicking on the map area on the title screen will open a new map window.

Icons on the right side of the screen:
People character icon: Ability to display the location of multiple watches at once, if you have
registered them.
Teardrop icon: Touch this icon to center the clock position on the center of the map.
Phone icon: The location of your phone on the map is displayed.
Radar / Geofence icon: This function allows you to set up a virtual fence in meters, which in case
of stepping out of it , will send information about this fact to the application. Click on the place you
choose for the center of the round area where the watch should stay. Then use the + and - buttons
to set the desired diameter of the circular area and save this setting with the gear wheel. Use the
trash can icon to cancel / deactivate this setting / function.
Foot icon: The clock route is displayed for the time period you have selected. The individual route
points are determined by the operating mode "10 min, 1 hour" set by you.
Map Icon: Ability to display normal, satellite and traffic maps.
Green Teardrop: Clicking on the green teardrop sends a request to the watch for immediate
localization. The result will be available in a few seconds.

Important information for location and security accuracy!
The watch primarily uses its location with a built-in GPS receiver "accuracy is several tens of
meters". However, if the watch is located in a place with low or no GPS signal "building,

underground garage, building, school, etc." It uses available WIFI networks for localization, where
the accuracy of localization depends on the accuracy of localization information of WIFI networks
around the watch. Accuracy is from 5m up to 300m. In extreme cases, when the WIFI network set-
up has an incorrectly identified nearest connection node to which the WIFI router is connected
near the watch, the accuracy may be even lower. If no WIFI networks or GPS signal from satellites
are available, the watch performs location using the BTS “LBS” of the operator's uncoverer, whose
SIM card is inserted in the watch. In this case, the accuracy of the location is affected by the number
of BTS of the operator's detectors in a given area "up to several km". In larger cities, the number
of BTS detectors is higher, so the accuracy of LBS localization is more accurate than in municipalities
and in the countryside.
Note: After turning the clock on and pairing with the application, it is not possible to simply turn
the watch off using the on / off button on the watch. Only if you push and hold the on / off button
for approx. 8 seconds. This is for safety reasons, so that no one can turn off the child's watch and
thus make it impossible to locate it. You can turn off the watch remotely via the application.

fields and do not expose the device to direct fire. Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the
device yourself. Do not expose to temperatures higher than 45 ° C.
