Welcome
This Quick Start Guide is designed to get you up and running quickly with your
new broadband service and guides you through the process of connecting the
connection box.
The connection box is installed inside your premises
and has two functions:
- Connect you to the Internet
- Provide a connection point for a Wi-Fi gateway/router
and your telephone.

Connecting to your new
broadband service is easy
The following pages describe step-by-step how to set up your Internet connection. To
start, here’s an overview of how your connection may look when set up.

1. Power your connection box
Connect the included power supply to the port labelled POWER on the connection
box. Take the included power cord and plug it into the other end of the power supply,
then plug the power supply into a nearby power outlet. Switch on the power outlet
(if required). The power indicator displays in solid green to indicate the unit is
correctly powered.

2. Connect your connection box
Plug the green DSL cable supplied with your connection box into the port labelled
INTERNET and the other end into the telephone wall outlet.
Wait for the indicator to display in solid green.
This may take up to ten minutes.
Do not unplug the unit during this time.

3. Connect your own or your provider’s gateway
Plug the Ethernet cable supplied with your own or your provider’s Wi-Fi gateway into
the port labelled GATEWAY on your connection box, then connect the other end into
the correct port of your Wi-Fi gateway (usually the WAN port).

4. Connect your other equipment
Connect your other equipment, such as computers and game consoles to your
Wi-Fi gateway with Ethernet cable or via Wi-Fi.

5. Connect your telephone (optional)
If you have a telephony service with your provider, you can connect a telephone
handset to the VOICE port using the included gray telephone cable.

6. Mount the Connection box
The Connection box may be mounted in one of two ways.

Place the Connection box upright on a desktop or table.

WALL MOUNT
Using two 8 gauge pan head screws, x the mounting bracket to the wall in the
desired location, then hang the Connection box over the mounting bracket
hooks as shown below. When mounted on a wall, do not mount it higher than 6
feet from the ground.

Indicators
The table below describes the various statuses of the
indicators on the front panel of the connection box.
Under normal operation, the Power, RPF Link and
Internet indicators will all display in solid green. The
status of the Gateway and Voice indicators may vary
depending on what you have connected to the Gateway
and Voice ports of the connection box.

Indicator modes
ALWAYS ON MODE
When it is rst powered on, the indicators on the
connection box are in ALWAYS ON mode. In this
mode the indicators are active at all times.
AUTO MODE
In AUTO mode, the indicators will turn o
automatically after 10 minutes unless there is
an alert to display. To turn the indicators on for a
further 10 minutes, press the button on the
panel just below the indicators.
TOGGLING INDICATOR MODES
Holding the button for 3-5 seconds toggles the
display between AUTO and ALWAYS ON modes.
When switching modes, all indicators ash once
when switching to AUTO mode and they Indicator button
ash twice when switching to
ALWAYS ON mode.
Restarting the connection box
The connection box can be restarted by using a
paperclip or other similarly-shaped object to press
the reset button on the back panel.

Do not connect with incompatible products or accessories.
This device must be used with a power adapter that has been certied with a Limited
Power Source (UL).

- Always treat your device and its accessories with care and keep it in a clean and
dust-free place.
- Avoid exposing the device to direct sunlight for prolonged periods.

- Do not drop, throw or try to bend your device or its accessories.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or aerosols to clean the device or its
accessories.
- Do not paint your device or its accessories.
- Do not attempt to disassemble your device or its accessories, only authorised personnel
must do so.
- Do not use or install this product in extremely hot or cold areas. Ensure that the device
is installed in an area where the temperature is within the supported operating tempera-
ture range (0°C to 45°C, 32°F to 113°F)

- Do not use your device in an enclosed environment or where heat dissipation is poor.
Prolonged use in such space may cause excessive heat and raise ambient temperature,
which will lead to the automatic shutdown of your device for your safety. To use your
device normally again after such a shutdown, cool it in a well-ventilated place before
turning it on.
- Do not operate the device where ventilation is restricted.
-Do not use or install this product near water to avoid re or shock hazard. Avoid expos-
ing the equipment to rain or damp areas.
- Arrange cables in a manner such that they are not likely to be stepped on or have items
placed on them.
- Ensure that the voltage and rated current of the power source match the requirements
of the device. Do not connect the device to an inappropriate power source.

DEVICE HEATING
Your device may become warm during normal use.
CHILDREN
Do not leave your device and its accessories within the reach of small children or allow
them to play with it. They could hurt themselves or others, or could accidentally damage
the device.

Do not attempt to disassemble the device or its accessories.
The device and its accessories do not contain any user-serviceable components.
Only qualied personnel must service or repair the device or its accessories.
If your device or its accessories have been submerged in water, punctured or subjected to
a severe fall, immediately cease using them.
