Installation
Installing or changing the battery -
To access the battery compartment
remove the small Phillips head
screw that secures the battery
door to the transmitter assembly.
Starting at one of the corners of
the door, pull upwards to remove
door. Replace with a CR2032 battery
when necessary. The battery should
be installed with the positive (+)
side up.

Buttons 1–4 turn on the fan and
control the speed.
(1) Extra Low

Pairing
The remote must be paired before
the fan will operate. Within 3
minutes of restoring power to
the fan, press both the Fan Power
button and the 4 button for at least
3 seconds. The fan will turn at the
lowest speed signifying that the
remote pairing process is complete.

The up arrow and down arrow
buttons control the lights on the fan.
Quickly press the up or down arrow
to turn the lights off and on. Hold
the up or down arrow to raise or dim
the light level.

The power button found on the right
side of the transmitter turns the
fan off. The LED light will illuminate
when a button is pushed, letting you
know that the signal has been sent
to the fan.

Your Universal Remote comes with
wall plates that have two posts on
which to mount your transmitter
when not in use.

Move the reverse switch to opposite
position to change the direction of
airow. The fan must be running to
use the reversing feature.

Before pairing your remote, cycle
power to the fan by turning power
off and back on at the wall switch
(or circuit breaker if necessary). To
prevent faulty operation, please pair
one fan at a time and disconnect
power (at the wall switch, breaker, or
fan) from all other ceiling fans within
range while pairing.

on the same circuit breaker,
you may need to perform a few extra steps to prevent
interference or faulty operation of your remote controls.

This product is warranted to the original purchaser by Casablanca Fan
Company against defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year
from date of purchase. During the warranty period, we will repair or, at
our option, replace a defective product at no charge. For information

product caused by mishandling, improper installation or modication
is not covered by this warranty. This warranty is given in lieu of all other
warranties expressed or implied. Some states do not allow limitations
of time on an implied warranty, therefore the above limitations may not
apply in every case. This warranty states specic legal rights which may
vary from state to state.

WARNINGS
Fan will not start
• Make sure the power is on at the circuit
breaker and the wall switch.
• Make sure the battery is working.
• Make sure the transmitter and receiver are
paired.
• Check wire connections inside of the
canopy.
Remote control of fan is erratic
• Make sure the battery is installed correctly.
• Install a fresh battery.
The Safe-Exit Program gives you about thirty seconds of light when
you turn the lights off, to exit the room before the lights go out. To use
Safe-Exit.
• Press the fan power button off for at least three seconds to initiate
the Safe-Exit Mode.
• The lights will ash for visual conrmation.
• The lights will stay on 50% brightness for 20 seconds and then begin to
dim. After a total of 30 seconds, the lights will be completely off.
Note: For CFL lighting, the lights will stay on 100% brightness for 30
seconds. After a total of 30 seconds, the lights will be completely off.
Lights don’t dim
• To enable dimming, you must rst set
your remote to Dimming Mode. To toggle
Dimming Mode on or off, hold down the
Fan Power button while pressing the Light
Down arrow twice.
CFL bulbs icker
• Hold down the Fan Power button while
pressing the Light Down arrow twice. If
the problem is not corrected, repeat the
process up to three times.
